This is AFTER the shoplifting. So she bonds out on the car theft which is still pending, actually was free after the shoplifting and NOW committed felony burglary. What a family, I'm sorry but I guess after seeing enough of this grandmother and her ways...

Wow. Just put her in jail now and leave her there. Sheesh. She is definitely a person that does not need to be out and about. Somebody else, besides her granddaughter will end up hurt.

I agree. Anyone thinking about bailing her out needs to LEAVE her, let her be convicted, sit with a shelter of her head at taxpayer expense and all will be better off. Or better yet, she gets very high bond.

Okay. SMH for the thousandth time in this case. So her recent felony arrest was for stealing from HER FATHER"S HOUSE!! Read on in this article.

Investigation into Evelyn Boswell's death continues despite coronavirus, prosecutor says
The investigation into the death of Tennessee toddler Evelyn Boswell is continuing despite the coronavirus pandemic because authorities feel the case is a priority, Sullivan County District Attorney General Barry Staubus told Knox News.

"I don't feel comfortable talking about exactly what we're doing," Staubus said Wednesday. "But generally, it's like any investigation. There have to be interviews conducted, there has to be forensic testing completed, and there are a number of things that have to be done. And those things are ongoing."

Measures enacted to slow the person-to-person spread of the virus have changed the way police and prosecutors do their jobs.

Law enforcement agencies in some jurisdictions have taken to writing citations instead of obtaining arrest warrants for various charges as sheriffs try to keep jails from being overcrowded. Attorneys and judges have turned to technology as they adjust to an order from the Tennessee Supreme Court suspending most in-person court proceedings.

The girl's mother and sole legal guardian, 18-year-old Megan Boswell, has stayed behind bars since being arrested on a charge of making false reports. Authorities accused her of lying to them about the girl's whereabouts from the moment the investigation began.

Staubus said Wednesday that his office received permission from the Tennessee Supreme Court to present the false reporting case to a grand jury later this month. He would not say whether prosecutors plan to present any additional evidence related to the toddler's death.

Also jailed is the girl's maternal grandmother, 42-year-old Angela Boswell. She was arrested last week on charges she and another man burglarized her parent's mobile home by walking through the front door and hauling off televisions, guns and tools. When she was booked into the Sullivan County jail, authorities said, she was found with a bag of suspected methamphetamine and a counterfeit $50 bill.

Authorities have not publicly named — or ruled out — a suspect in the girl's death. They also have not released any details about the cause or nature of the death since her body was found on family property March 6.

A judge agreed to seal records from an autopsy, and Staubus said Wednesday he had not seen the autopsy report. The prosecutor again declined to release any details about how the child died.

"All of these things eventually will be revealed," he said.

That video put a lot of things together for me. That compound reminds me of the wix case. It's suspected that Jennifer and her baby girl Adrianna were buried on the same kind of family compound owned by Jennifer's boyfriend.

Yeah, it wasn't very long but it clarified some things for me too. I still get confused on the grandpa, ex husband, Angela's dad, etc. I don't know if I am familiar with the Wix case.

Bond increased for Angela Boswell in vehicle theft case

New charges filed against Angela Boswell, the grandmother of Blountville toddler Evelyn Boswell, have resulted in an increased bond for an earlier case.

Two weeks ago, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office charged Boswell, 42, with aggravated burglary, theft under $10,000, introduction of drugs into a penal facility and possession of counterfeit money. She was accused of breaking into her parents’ home and stealing TVs, weapons and other items. A Kingsport judge set bond at $50,000.

As a result, the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office asked Judge J. Klyne Lauderback in Bristol to increase bond on a previous theft charge. Last month, she was charged in the theft of a vehicle that was sought during the search for her granddaughter, whose body was found March 6.

Assistant District Attorney Joshua Rose asked the judge to increase Boswell’s bond “due to her continuing criminal activity.” Lauderback increased bond to $50,000 in the theft case. She was out on $8,000 bond at the time of her new charges last week.

Evelyn’s death remains under investigation, and no one has been charged.

Thank goodness and hopefully her father stays firm and does not bail her out. She clearly never learns and stole from him.

I can't believe there are no charges for Evelyn's murder yet. I sure would like to see justice for this baby.

Authorities in Tennessee have identified a “person of interest” in the death of Evelyn Boswell, the infant girl whose remains were discovered in a home earlier this year, according to reports.

Captain Joey Strickler of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the investigation of the individual to WJHL.

He did not disclose the name or identity of the person.

Authorities found the remains of 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell on March 6 in a Sullivan County home belonging to a relative of the child’s mother, Megan Boswell. The child had not been seen since late December 2019.

Megan Boswell, 18, was arrested Feb. 25 on charges of filing a false police report. She is scheduled to appear in Sullivan County criminal court on Friday.

Strickler told WJHL that no one had called the sheriff’s office to look in the area where the infant’s remains were later found.

Investigators have not received the full autopsy reports, nor have they interviewed the girl’s mother since her remains were found, according to the station.
