EL DORADO, Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — It’s been almost a week since an El Dorado woman was last seen and there is still no sign where she might be. The family has reason to believe that this missing person case should not be taken lightly.

“I’ve been looking at my phone everyday. Hoping she’ll call wherever she’s at,” her mother, Laquita Williams said.

Fear has set in for the family of 22-year-old Iesha Jackson. She was last seen at her home Wednesday night when she was dropped off by a family member after returning from out of town.

“She wasn’t sad in any kind of way,” Williams said. “She was happy like a normal kid.”

According to El Dorado Police, Jackson lives alone in a home off of East Main Street. Her front door was found cracked open with her phone still inside the house.

That detail alone scares the family especially since it’s not the first she’s been a victim of violence.

“She has also informed us that this house has been broken into two times in one week,” her grandmother said.

According to police, a report was made on the incidents.

“When she came home one day she did call me and say that her home was broken into. The second day she was here she was telling me about how somebody barged in on her while she was there,” Williams said. “By the time she told them to leave. She told me they wouldn’t. They called the police and that’s when they wanted to run.”

Detective Harwell says detectives have investigated leads but nothing has shown up to be substantial.

Just looking up some stats since little other info here. El Dorado, Arkansas is around 19,000 people so not real big as far as a city goes. It says she lives on East Main, no address so I just looked up the street. East Main is not all that long and this map shows a few businesses there and a community college taking up probably a fair amount of area.

None of this tell us a darned thing but I just like to get an idea of the area when I get a chance to do it. Said before I am not the best mapper lol.

So she had two break-ins and they were reported and also had someone enter and refuse to leave. A family member dropped her off after a trip, did he/she go in with her to make sure the home was safe and no one inside I wonder?

She is young and pretty, an obsessed stalker or an ex? Is it a single family home or apartment? With a community college there, it could be a student housing area.

This does not look like the part of town with the most businesses but there are likely plenty enough that security footage will be found if they get after it. She is 22 and old enough to go to the bars. Did she head out and someone follow her home or she have friends over...?

Just thoughts. Little info as to whether she was a student or worked. It does say she lived alone so I assume that means no roommates but it also means at 22 she is able to pay for her own place.

While I would like to think she left of her own accord, her cell phone was there and the door cracked and it has been a number of days. If not for that, I would think maybe she was staying with a friend because of fear of the break-ins at her own home.

Note: Pin on map just shows East Main Street, don't know her actual address.

Two arrested in relation to missing woman case
Two men have been arrested in relation to a missing person case, the investigation of which has been ongoing since November.

Iesha Nicole Jackson has been missing since Nov. 4. Over the weekend, Semajee Dismuke, 23, and Kenneth Earl Lee, 46, were arrested on charges related to her disappearance.

Dismuke is facing charges of capital murder and kidnapping, with a penalty enhancement for engaging in violent group activity attached. Lee faces charges of felony theft of property related to extortion.

Both were seen in court Monday for first appearance hearings. Dismuke is held without bond, Capt. Scott Harwell, chief investigator for the El Dorado Police Department, said Monday evening, while Lee has a $10,000 bond, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office jail roster.

Harwell said the EPD is still hoping to find Jackson safe. The investigation into her disappearance is still “very active,” he said.

Tickled to see arrests--always. Confusing though is that one is charged with capital murder but it says they still hope to find her safe...? Is the murder charge for another victim?

$3,000 reward offered in an El Dorado missing person case, suspect released from jail

The El Dorado Police Department is hoping a monetary reward will lead to information into the disappearance of a young woman who was last seen on November 4.

The El Dorado Crime Stoppers, a board which consists of community members, has offered a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons who are involved in 23-year-old Iesha Jackson’s disappearance.

“What we need at this time is for people to come forward and tell us what they know. People don’t want to get involved. People are scared of retaliation but there are people out there that have information on this case,” Captain Scott Harwell said.

In December, an arrest was made in connection to her disappearance. The suspect, Semajee Dismuke, was released from jail at the Union County Detention Center earlier this month.

According to Captain Harwell, Dismuke’s defense attorney filed an order to have him released from custody citing a state criminal procedure rule that requires formal charges to be filed within 60 days of a defendant’s arrest.

Police still investigating mysterious disappearance of El Dorado woman

In this week’s Ark-La-Miss Most Wanted, NBC 10’s Chelsea Monae reminds us of a woman who went missing back in 2020 of El Dorado.

For months, authorities searched for 22-year-old Iesha Jackson, but she was never found. However, detectives say this is still an active and ongoing investigation.

Two men were arrested in connection to Jackson’s disappearance. Charges were dismissed for one individual but charges still stand for 46-year-old Kenneth Lee for extortion after he allegedly solicited $8,000 from her family on information on Jackson’s whereabouts.

Those who know Jackson and detectives say this is not a case of someone just walking away.

So, where is Iesha Jackson? Why did she suddenly disappear?

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 870-563-INFO or your local law enforcement agency.

Iesha Jackson of Arkansas still missing after mysterious 2020 disappearance

Iesha Jackson of El Dorado, Arkansas has been missing since Nov. 4, 2020. There are mysterious circumstances surrounding her case. Shortly after her disappearance, authorities revealed two break-ins happened at her home in one week.

When authorities arrived at her residence, they discovered her cell phone was still present, and the front door was left open. An article published in 2021 by MyArkLAMiss.com put Jackson at 23 years old that year. The El Dorado Crime Stoppers offered a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone who may have had anything to do with her disappearance.

Candlelight vigil set to bring awareness to missing individuals in Union County

It’s a feeling no mother wants to go through but a reality for Laquita Parker. Her daughter, Ieshia Jackson, has been missing for almost two years.

“I don’t feel good because I miss my baby. I wish she was here,” explains Parker.

“One minute she was there… one minute she wasn’t but I really would like to see Iesha Jackson, my daughter, again.”

Two men were arrested in connection to Iesha’s disappearance. Charges were dismissed for one individual but charges still stand for 46-year-old Kenneth Lee for extortion after he allegedly solicited $8,000 from Jackson’s family for information on her whereabouts.

Now the community is rallying together to bring awareness to the missing individuals in Union County.

El Dorado mom pleading for answers after daughter goes missing in 2020
A mother is asking for the public's help as the search for her missing daughter continues.

Iesha Jackson, 22, vanished after a trip to Texas with a family member. Her mother, Laquita Parker, told KATV she was expected to come home but she never did.

"I’ve been doing a lot of stressing, crying, it ain’t been good," said Parker.

The last time Parker saw her daughter was Halloween of 2020 before she went to Houston, Texas, with a family member.

“If anybody knows anything, can they please come forward? Anybody?” she pleaded. “I mean, it will do me some good because I’m tired of stressing. I know I’m going to stress, that's my child, that's my only girl,” said Parker.

Since her daughter's disappearance, she said, she hasn't received much information from El Dorado Police.

“They ain't giving me no leads, nothing, every time I try to go to them it's always a run around,” she added.

And that piqued the interest of Rena Borden who - two years later - started placing missing flyers around town.

“Noticed that there weren’t really flyers anywhere and started reading reports and noticed she was still missing,” said Borden.

Borden and Parker went to high school together. She said she felt compelled to help.

“The reason why nobody was really worried about it was because they arrested two men, six weeks after she went missing, and one of them was arrested for capital murder,” said Borden. “So you assume that the police don't arrest somebody for capital murder unless there's a reason to, well then in February of 2021 they were released."

El Dorado Captain Jarod Primm told KATV when Jackson was reported missing, her cellphone and wallet were left behind.

“Her mom went to her apartment on South Roselawn, found her door open,” said Primm. "Started doing some background, found out that she had gone to Texas, supposed to have been with a family member. We confirmed she did go to Texas.”

Cpt. Primm explained their investigation spans across multiple law enforcement agencies.

“We're looking El Dorado, Arkansas, to somewhere around Houston, Texas...that's nearly 500 miles I believe,” he said. “We have done numerous interviews, search warrants, looked for video - you name it. We have even reached out at this point to the state police to take a second look at all of this."

Cpt. Primm told KATV they’re not ready to call this a cold case just yet.

A $3,000 reward through El Dorado Crime Stoppers is up for grabs for anyone who can provide information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

This is bullsh*t. I had to go back to refresh myself on this case. Why WERE there arrests and WHY WAS one released. I see I questioned back when if the capital murder charge was for murder of her or someone else. Yes, like the mom said, it likely went silent and why yell about it when there seemed to be arrests which have not panned out since. and one now released.

WHAT is going on here?

And did the family member drop her at home or was she still with him or her in TX? Not sure that has ever been made clear plus in looking again at this case, the trip "wtih" the family member to TX seemed to be unplanned or not known to family.

Vigil for missing woman planned today

A candlelight prayer vigil will be held today in honor of missing El Dorado woman Ieshia Jackson.

Jackson went missing from El Dorado on October 31, 2020, when she was 22-years-old. Today would be her 26th birthday. In December of 2022, two men were arrested in relation to the case, but they were both later released.

Today's vigil is being held with hopes of spreading awareness about Jackson's disappearance.

"We hope that the community can rally together for the family of Ieshia Jackson. It's now been 3 years that she was last seen. Someone out there knows what happened and we would like to encourage them to come forward," an event organizer said.

An anonymous tip line has been set up for any tips regarding Ieshia or any of the other 4 missing women from El Dorado. The number to text tips to is 870-440-0000," an event organizer said.

Anyone with knowledge about Jackson's disappearance or whereabouts is asked to contact the El Dorado Police Department at 870-881-4800.

"Let's work together to bring Ieshia home," an organizer said.

4 years later: Where is Iesha Jackson?

October 31, 2020, was the last day Iesha Jackson of El Dorado was seen alive. Her disappearance remains a mystery and those who know her say she wouldn’t just walk away from her life, home, and family.

“Ieshia Jackson needs to come home. I know she’s out there somewhere, and I know somebody out there knows she’s somebody do. This ain’t just happened yesterday. They know where she is. Whoever is out there and they know what she did. And I appreciate if you come forward”, said Iesha’s mother, Laquita Parker.

” Her story deserves to be told. Ieshia was not perfect. This is the thing that a lot of people just missed. She was not perfect, but she was still a human being and people still loved her. Ieshia was quiet. She was happy. Go lucky. She was ready. When she came into the room, everything changed. She loved to dance. And there was my sister. It gets really hard”, said her brother, Ji’Quez Jackson.

Anyone with information regarding her case is asked to call El Dorado Crime Stoppers at 870-863-4636. A $10,000 reward is available to anyone who can help successfully locate Iesha Jackson.
