Praying he is found safe.
Me too, I wonder if he had a head wound? I say that because I would think he would take his phone with him. It's been days of searching which scares me and in the article below it states they're draining a nearby pond. There's also a picture of his car and a news clip video.

So looking at the tail gate it was likely a rear end collision? Front end and driver's side tire looks damaged too but hard to tell definitively.

Maintaining hope in this one. And praying.

Family and friends of a missing Texas State student gathered at his family's church in Missouri City Sunday to pray for a safe return.

His father, Kent Landry, spoke before a crowd of at least 100 people, expressing concern and worry over his son's disappearance.

"I pray that I will have the opportunity to hug my son and to tell him I love him again. God, I hope it's before Christmas," Kent told the crowd.

Another case where someone goes missing after a car crash!I still think they must go into shock and walk away from the accident and are injured enough that they can't get help. That's the only thing I can come up with!
I don't know what to think in this one. He was on a secluded road it says. It was supposedly a one vehicle crash so something made him crash They do not know what he was wearing--are there any videos from campus or where he might have been prior...?

I guess I always hope they are hiding or escaping from something because then it would be a better outcome than wandering in shock and dying in the elements. It isn't due to suspicion, it's that it is a better thing to hope for and also because it does happen as we know, with older adults than he even.

For that reason, I am maintaining some hope in this one, although it doesn't look great as they have not found him...

I'm not sure about the theory of him wondering in shock just because of how much land has been searched around where the wreck was and then I tend to believe it must be what happened because why else would he not just step out of the car with his phone and call 911.
I wonder if he was run off the road for some reason and had a conflict with someone. Just spit balling here, there's just not too many ways this could have gone.

There is always the possibility he called someone on the phone or someone was "with" him in another car or that like many youth, he has another phone. It might be unlikely but just looking for some hope here..

I thought of a car jacking or wreck but they claim it is a one vehicle wreck... And they didn't take anything if that is the case, only he is missing...

It sure could have been though someone that had a beef with him and they had no interest in his phone, wallet, etc...

If he was with someone (in another car) he shouldn't have gone missing though, not saying it's not possible just talking out loud.

There still could have been another car involved if it just caused him to swerve and crash maybe.

I just hope he's alive and found soon.

True, it's unlikely but I was thinking of a certain scenario which most likely is not the case but he left somehow, whether wandering on foot or in another vehicle for whatever reason and whether willingly or taken against his will... Secluded road, unlikely to have much for cameras which is why I wonder if they have been able to find his location earlier or even where he traveled up to this point...

One other possibility is he was not alone in his own car but that does not really fit either...

Sooo, I sure don't know...

Father of missing Texas State student says search is still on: 'We're hopeful'

The father of a missing Texas State student says though it's been a painful process to endure, the search for his son continues.

Earlier this month, Texas EquuSearch suspended their efforts to find him, but in an announcement issued by Landry's father, Kent, on social media, he said the search continues, "just in a different manner."

Sounds like the backpack was found at the initial search... Black backpack found approximately 100 feet south of the crash. Containing narcotics and wallet suspected of being Jason's.

adding these two together, was he possibly being chased?

Search continues in Caldwell County for missing Texas State student

The search continues in Caldwell County for Texas State student Jason Landry, who went missing in December after a crash near Luling.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office circulated a new missing person poster on social media Friday, which included the most recent picture of Jason taken the same weekend he went missing.

In and around the car, law enforcement found Jason Landry’s phone, wallet, and other personal items. They also found a small amount of blood. About 900 feet to the south of the accident, CCSO says that some clothing and other personal items were found in the roadway.
