WI J'MYA HURT: Missing from Milwaukee, WI - 5 Jan 2023 - Age 5 *Found Safe*

Milwaukee police are requesting the public's assistance in finding a "critically" missing 5-year-old girl.

J'mya Hurt was last seen in the care of a family member at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Jan. 5 in the 2800 block of North 29th Street on Milwaukee's north side.

Hurt is Black, 3 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighs roughly 50 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair in a braided hairstyle. She was last seen wearing a rainbow jacket, a purple and blue "Frozen" hat, a blue button-up shirt, tan pants and pink and black snow boots.

"Critically missing" is a label police apply to missing persons who may be in immediate danger due to a variety of factors.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 414-935-7252.

Police say the girl was last seen around 6:15 a.m. on January 5th near 29th and Elder Wallace Drive in Milwaukee in the care of a family member.

She is described as being 3 feet, 5 inches and 52 pounds with brown eyes, black hair in a braided hairstyle.

Hurt was last seen wearing a rainbow jacket, a purple and blue "Frozen" hat, a blue button-up shirt, tan pants and pink and black snow boots.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Milwaukee Police Department District 5 at 414-935-7252.

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee police have asked the public for help in the search for critically missing 5-year-old girl J'mya Hurt.

Hurt is described as 3 feet, 5 inches tall and 52 pounds with brown eyes and black, braided hair. She was last seen wearing a rainbow jacket, "Frozen" hat, blue shirt, tan pants and pink-and-black snow boots.

Police said Hurt was last seen "in the care of a family member" the morning of Jan. 5 near Teutonia and Stark.

Anyone with information on Hurts' whereabouts is asked to call police at 414-935-7252.
 
Comments on Facebook (take that for what it is...) indicate she was with a family member (possibly aunt?) and they were due to return a couple of days ago. The family member can not be reached either.
so are they worried about this "family member's" mental state or something to make her fit the critically missing status? It seems that they would also be putting out a missing person's report for the family member, too for any reason to me.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Missing alert to help find J'mya Hurt has been canceled. Authorities report Hurt was located and is safe.
