Police seeking help finding missing 26-year-old woman in Upper Valley​

Authorities are seeking help in locating a missing 26-year-old woman who is believed to have left her residence on an electric bicycle Wednesday, according to Lebanon police.

Kexin Cai was last seen in the area of Drake Lane in West Lebanon, according to a news release. Drake Lane is part of Sachem Village, which provides housing to Dartmouth College students.

“Based on information given to investigators, it is believed that she may have left her residence on an E-bike and headed in an unknown direction,” the news release read.

The bike is described as silver and white with fat tires, a thick frame and heavy-duty black metal racks on the front and back.

Cai is described as 5-foot-3, 105 pounds, with black eyes and black and blue hair.

The Dartmouth, an independent student newspaper, reported Cai is a graduate student at the school in the psychological and brain sciences department.
 

Drones, helicopters used in search for missing Dartmouth College grad student​

There is an active search underway for a Dartmouth College graduate student who has been missing since last Wednesday.

Cai's partner, Kristian Droste, said she is 5 feet, 7 inches and 115 pounds. He added that she has mostly black hair, with blue tips on her ends.

A friend of Cai said there is a group of about 30 members of the Dartmouth College community searching the woods near the Boston Lot conservation area.

Police said they are using drones and helicopters, but foliage is making it difficult.

New Hampshire Fish and Game crews were out searching the Connecticut River on Monday.

Police said they have checked her cellphone and credit card data.

"In these kinds of cases, we use a variety of tools. We will get in touch with credit cards, ATM cards, banking institutes, as well as ping services on electronic devices. All of those bases have been covered," Lebanon Police Chief Phillip Roberts said.
 

Missing Dartmouth grad student found dead in Connecticut River​

The Lebanon Police Department has confirmed that Dartmouth grad student Kexin Cai was found dead in the Connecticut River.

26-year-old Cai had been missing since May 15th and was last seen riding an e-bike at around 6:00 p.m. headed towards West Lebanon that day.

Police say at around 4:00 p.m. on Monday, a fisherman called in to report a body floating in the Connecticut River, which they later identified as Cai.

They also say they do not suspect foul play.
