CORVALLIS, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Human Services is asking for help to find three missing children from Corvallis who may endangered in the Portland area.
According to ODHS, Easton Menear, 4, Raya Menear, 1, and Quincy Menear, 10 months, went missing with their parents Hanna Jewel Hamilton and Christian Michael Menear from Corvallis on April 23. ODHS said the kids are believed to be at risk, and they are searching for them to make sure they are alright. Now, the ODHS is asking the public for help finding Easton, Raya and Quincy.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the children, Hanna Jewel Hamilton or Christian Michael Menear is asked to call 911 or the toll-free Oregon Child Abuse Hotline at 1-855-503-7233. ODHS said it is possible they are in the greater Portland Metro Area. The Washington County Sheriff Office has active cases for the missing children, ODHS said.

This is all over the news around here and it's bizarre that a family of five hasn't been located. Police say there's no evidence of foul play and I am hoping that the media blast will end up with good news. I first heard about this case a couple of days ago, but since they weren't found straight away, I want to picture them on our X account and help spread the word.
 
No evidence of foul play but children considered to be at risk. Kind of double talk isn't it? Most kids aren't at risk when with their parents.... Unless bad parents... Etc.

Yeah I don't know. I know of that one but isn't one I followed closely and I always have to look at it to bring the facts back to mind... Is that the one with the fire...? I'm not kidding, I know them when I refresh but a few I get mixed up that I didn't follow at the time.

I do know this one makes me wonder. You aren't worried about a responsible family who decided to take their kids on a vacation or go somewhere for a few days so there is a reason for the double speak imo.

Religion, domestic violence history, left without warning and left the door open and dog uncared for.... I am making these things up. Just saying in one breath they say no foul play but hen they say they consider the kids in danger.

What is the scuttlebutt since this is big news near you?

As always, I am praying of course they are found okay and safe.

The only scuttlebutt so far is that folks are angry that the family has been missing since APRIL and the public wasn't brought in until this week!
 
Since DHS is involved and people are asked to call the child abuse hotline with info, my guess is they are hiding from having their kids taken by the state.

ETA: The only ones actually listed as missing are the children.

WHAT??!! I did not know that. That is OUTRAGEOUS. What other new case is it, one of a child where they have made arrests but will NOT NAME the people!! I think it ;was a child or that one with two children! WTH is going on in this world! How do they expect tips when no one KNOWS, LEGITIMATE tips, sightings, etc.!!

If that's the case here, this one sounds very strange... An entire family... What was that last one like that, it was very odd too.... Mom, dad a few kids they were worried he took them all captive or they had no say but I think they finally made contact or some such and supposedly was by choice several months back but I'd still say something more is up there...
 
The children no longer have active missing persons reports. It looks like they were found, but I haven't seen anything released. Will wait a bit and keep looking before moving the thread.
 
Maybe I have a case mixed up but I thought I saw something a few days back that the entire family was found and not alive BUT I may well have it mixed up with another case. I saw something and wondered why it hadn't been posted here but had no time. AGAIN I COULD be wrong. Could have been a longer missing family or different one, I diidn't know the name of the top of my head.

I haven’t seen anything released either! The news that I listen to won’t be on again until tomorrow morning. They’ve been following it so I’ll see if they say anything.

It doesn't say alive? I assume they mean alive? That's a terrible thing to KEEP OUT of such an announcement.
