Just reading all the different opinions about the DNA in here confirms my suspicion that when this goes to trial, they better explain this DNA very carefully. And in great detail that isn’t so complicated that the jurors get lost.

I don't think that DNA is meaningless. The DNA connected to the rapist. The others I don't know anything about. I get my car serviced at the same place all the time. I also Uber. Could one of my Uber passengers have DNA that matches a criminal, probably, but I've taken over 1,000 runs.

Do you think your DNA matches any violent criminals?
YOU get YOUR car serviced at the same place all the time. We have no idea where they do or how many places or how often. They very well could have had tires serviced at tire place, oil changed at oil place, maintenance done at dealership or other auto repair place. Most hospitals now have valet services so we don't know if she ever used any kind of that service when going through treatments. Pretty sure Barry never took care of any of that kind of stuff. That dna could have even came from when they lived in Indiana, for all we know. WHERE it was found and where it wasn't found is more important than just it was found. Aslo, did she cart the girls and their friends anywhere? Did the girls every use her RR and have their friends in it? Did Barry use her RR (we know he did per AA) and who did he have in it?

Again, partial match and match are two different things and yes, I will most definitely be a partial match to a violent criminal as a distant family member is a frequent flyer in the prison system and no telling even further down the line from people I have no idea they even exist.

Violent crime?

And exactly why they deemed it unimportant enough to test further in the initial findings.

Maybe because they are stuck on one guy and don't want anything else looked at.

What @Kimster said above is true. The defense is going to bring it up and it'll need to be explained.

Resisting arrest, stalking with intent of harm, theft with a weapon and threatening to use that weapon on LE are all violent crimes, right? and those are just the ones this person has in my state. I can't look up the other charges in other neighboring states.

You also don't think they want to find any and all responsible for this? Like I said, where it was and wasn't found and the quantity of it is the important thing we don't have the answers to.

What will they tell a jury?

I have told all in here that Lauren Scharf is one who covered this DNA thing and how it was made into something it isn't. Well she was on STS today and I have rarely if ever seen her be a guest on another show and the show, as always had four people, and the DNA came up. She didn't get to talk to it like she could have but you could see by her expression and the bit she did say how absolutely underwhelming it is and SHE prior has put it to bed before, not sure if they knew his and she wasn't going to take over and go on on someone else's show. She DID say this was such a TINY trace amount AND talk about transfer and touch.

I know Emu that you have a TON more time than I do, she covered it FULLY and impressively in a show of hers back some time ago when the "world" was believing Iris Eytan's ******** and when the judge did too on this DNA. Go FIND it. I was even feeling I had to face it was bad news as the world was believing it and then I heard I think Nate and then Lauren explain it but even more scary how Eytan had sold a false bill of goods to everyone and it was believed by idiots who don't have the smarts or take the time to check it out.

AND Barry was not the only one here. They CHECKED out fully Jeff Libler and more. If you haven't read the AA then don't say otherwise. THEY found out who SM was seeing and even that she was seeing someone and BM had been unable to find out who AND LE figured it out and it was NOT easy. They did not "jump" to Barry, they explored all the other things as well.

You are wasting your breath. Now that touch or even transfer DNA is a thing, it will be in every case and he takes it as important as if they had found sperm or saliva etc.

I got him to go look at a good recap of he case with Annie Else (I knew he'd like her and she does a well researched show) and he cam back positive Barry was guilty and said as much and that he would convict if a juror and that was not even reading the ARREST AFFIDAVIT. Then he heard about this DNA b.s. and is mired in it ever since.

The prosecution thought enough about it to send someone to talk to the person who had a partial match.

The emu is falling for the defense's drama, just as they hoped.

You say that finding matching DNA isn't surprising or that unusual, but no other profile matches any rapists.

There are three unidentified DNA matches. Only one has a link to a violent criminal. Why don't all three have matches? You think any DNA can be a partial match to a violent criminal, but obviously that's not true.
Because they ran it through CODIS and the partial match showed up. They then went to try to shake down the partial match person to see if he knew who it actually belonged to and he got an attorney. The other 2 did not match in any way to any known criminals.

Who has stated ANY DNA can be a partial match to a violent criminal? That only happens if you have violent criminal in your family through the branches somewhere. Do you know ANY of you 2nd cousins twice removed? Any of them at all? How do you know none of them are violent criminals if you don't know them, yet you are a partial match to them? (That would be your grandparents 2nd cousins or your 2nd cousin's grandchildren)

So they didn't bother running the other two through CODIS? If they did, they should have some connection to a violent criminal. I guess that's why they only chose one to run.

Why would they not have ran it through??? How are you getting that conclusion? You are definitely a defense attorney's dream juror and are falling for their shenanigans. Hook, line and sinker.

ok, answer this. IF the defense is so adamant that this dna might exonerate their client, why are they not testing and matching it? That makes absolutely no sense that they aren't. Nope, they are just blowing smoke.

I am also still waiting for one question that if you are innocent, LE can't ask you just because you have an attorney present. Just one.

They can, he lawyered up and refused to talk. I've already said it seems obvious that BM did it, but I want to know more about the partial DNA match that you said everybody would have a match to a violent criminal from.

Yes, I think they did run those other DNA matches through CODIS, but nothing came up. That throws your theory of everyone having a partial match out the window.
