AMBER ALERT: Two men 'supposedly' transporting newborn to hospital never made it there

An Amber Alert was issued out of Laclede County on Tuesday at 5:03 p.m. for a newborn baby girl who was abducted by two white males "supposedly" taking the infant to a hospital for postnatal care but they never made it there.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a man named Mike and another unidentified man were "supposedly" taking a newborn infant girl to an unknown hospital in the Laclede County area for postnatal care.

They took the child at 2:20 p.m. from the area of Missouri 32 and Route U in Lebanon. The highway patrol said the men never made it to the hospital and their direction of travel is unknown.

Mike is described as a 45-year-old white male with a light grey beard. The unidentified man is described as a white bald male. The child is described as a newborn white female child.

The men are believed to be in a blue soft-top Jeep Wrangler with unknown license plates. The soft top is black.

The Missouri Highway Patrol issued an AMBER Alert for a white baby girl believed to have been born on Tuesday morning. Information is very limited, but includes the following:

The highway patrol is looking for a 45-year-old man named Mike, who is white and has a light grey beard, and another white male identified as 34-year-old Steven Joseph Bohlinger who is believed to be in a blue Jeep Wrangler with a soft top. No tags or further description is immediately available.

The incident was reported at about 2:20 p.m in the area of Missouri Route 32 and Route U in Lebanon. A highway patrol bulletin says they were reportedly taking the newborn infant to a Laclede area hospital for post-natal care, but never arrived. The hospital isn’t specified by name.

SUSPECT VEHICLE IS A BLUE JEEP WRANGLER. VEHICLE HAS BLACK SOFT TOP.

SUSPECT ONE IS MIKE UNKNOWN LAST NAME, A WHITE, MALE, 45. SUSPECT HAS LIGHT GRAY BEARD.
SUSPECT TWO IS STEVEN JOSEPH BOHLINGER, A WHITE, MALE, 34, 5 FEET 9 INCHES TALL, 200 POUNDS, HAS BROWN HAIR AND GREEN EYES.

STEVEN BOHLINGER AND MIKE WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE NEWBORN INFANT TO AN UNKNOWN HOSPITAL IN THE LACLEDE COUNTY AREA FOR POST NATAL CARE. THE SUBJECTS NEVER ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL.

This is...... freakin' bizarre. Apparently the baby was born on the side of the road? And these two guys pull over to "help" and mom hands them the baby to take to the hospital? HUH? Did she know them? What. In. The. World.

The child was abducted near MO Hwy 32 and Route U near Nebo-Falcon, Missouri.
