The Teton County Sheriff's Office reported at approximately 11:40 p.m. Thursday, they received a 911 call from a home on 4600 Skyline Loop in Victor. When deputies arrived at the home they found Kali Jean Randall, 38, dead.

The sheriff's office says Best may be driving a black 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe with Idaho plates 1T39349. He may have his son, Zeke Gregory Best, with him.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-month-old Idaho boy missing since Thursday who police say was abducted by his father, who’s a homicide suspect.

The baby, Zeke Best, was taken by his father, Jeremy Albert Best, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook. According to the Amber Alert, Zeke might be in “imminent danger.” The Teton County Sheriff’s Office says Best is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Authorities said Best could be driving a Black 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, with Idaho plates 1T39349.

Teton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call around 11:38 p.m. Thursday at a residence in Victor, Idaho. When they arrived there, deputies found a deceased woman who they identified as Best’s wife, 38-year-old Kali Jean Randall.

Randall’s death is currently being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police as a homicide at this time. Best is a suspect in the crime, The Teton County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police cautioned the public not to approach Best if they see him. Instead, those with information on his whereabouts should call 208-354-2323 or 911.

A man accused of kidnapping his 10-month-old son walked into a store naked Thursday and was admitted to the hospital for mental health issues. That night, his wife was found dead at a Victor home.

Jeremy Albert Best, 48, is on the run after police say he abducted his infant son, Zeke Gregory Best. An Amber Alert was issued Friday morning for the baby, who is believed to be in imminent danger. Best, a mechanic who works in Victor, is considered “heavily armed and dangerous.”

EastIdahoNews.com has learned that around noon on Thursday, Best had a run-in with law enforcement in Swan Valley.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance at the Swan Valley General Store regarding a nude man who walking through the business. Deputies identified the man as Best, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Video of the incident, sent to EastIdahoNews.com, shows a fully-naked Best slouching on the store’s counter next to the cash register and grabbing a cigarette before he is escorted outside of the building by several people.

He was evaluated by EMS on scene and taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ambulance, according to the news release. A deputy followed the ambulance, and Best was turned over to hospital staff for further medical and mental health concerns.

It’s not clear what happened at the hospital, but EIRMC spokeswoman Coleen Neimann confirms Best was discharged Thursday afternoon.

The Teton County Sheriff’s Office has not released any new details about what happened between the hospital and a 911 call received by the Teton County Sheriff’s Office around 11:40 p.m. from a home at 4600 Skyline Loop in Victor. The dispatcher heard a disturbance on the line, and deputies went to the house.

When they arrived, Kali Jean Randall, 38, was found dead. Randall was Best’s wife, and her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Best is believed to have left the home with Zeke, and their location is unknown, investigators say.

OMG. This child certainly isn't safe. Why was he released from the hospital? I guess if not on some kind of legal hold he could walk out as an adult but he was taken there DUE to or BY LE who followed the ambulance.

I can only guess she called 911 before dying.

They aren't young parents but more mature ones Meaning age. Clearly he has some type of issue and drugs could well be part of it.

Idaho sure has its share of bad and odd cases.

His vehicle is 30 years old almost so I'd say it would be noticeable but then Victor is the biggest city in Teton County at 2,100 people! It is part of the Jackson, WY MICROpolitan area. What is a micropolitan? Never heard that term before. I got this here.

HEAVILY armed and dangerous. He sounds like a certain type. THIS child is not safe with his dad. Usually I feel they have a better chance with a parent and maybe he does but it is a lot harder to feel that way in this one. Praying this child is found safe. And he already murdered mom (more than likely of course). It is different when they have murdered and not just took off with their kid, much less certain for safety and in this case he sounds like he is unhinged.

"We thank all of you for walking with us during this time," Fischer said. "Our Zeke is now at rest with his loving mama and unborn sibling. As this is an ongoing investigation, we ask for privacy as we take time to process and grieve."

At this time Bonneville County Detectives, Idaho State Police, and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office are processing the scene and continuing to investigate. Idaho Falls Police Detectives and Agents from the FBI are also assisting at the scene.

After a medical clearance, Mr. Best was transported to the Bonneville County Jail and booked for the outstanding Teton County Warrant. Best will remain incarcerated until arraignment before the court.

The man likes to be naked and I suppose will get off on some insanity defense although ID does not have one but something on some order. Yet he knows how to kill a pregnant wife and do the deed to make children and kill that sweet little boy yet protect himself.

I had a feeling on this one not some great guess or instinct or anything, just armed and dangerous, killed mom, running around naked grabbing a cigarette.

Per Nate, it sounds at the end of this like Zeke was found in the vehicle which was at the bottom of a ravine or some such. He mentions alcohol or drugs. Not sure if he is wondering about such or knows such. It wouldn't be hard to believe. Sounds more like drugs to me than alcohol with the continued nudity and all.

Also sounds like the naked man went behind he counter in a store and took a cigarette. If only they had arrested him. Or had not let him out of the hospital. He then goes home and kills his wife, takes Zeke and Zeke is found dead. Cause of death not yet known.

Mom was originally from Wisconsin. The two were married. She was expecting another child. Family thinks she died protecting her children.

Jeremy Albert Best, of Victor, Idaho, is being held without bond, charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors say he shot and killed his wife, Kali Randall Best, on Thursday. She was about 6 months pregnant. The second murder charge is for the death of the fetus.

Jeremy Best, 48, was arrested Saturday after hunters reported a man in a sleeping bag on the side of the road in eastern Idaho. The body of the couple’s 10-month-old son Zeke was found nearby.

Emotions are raw on Skyline Loop in Victor just days after Jeremy Best was arrested for the death of his wife, Kali Randall, and 10-month-old son Zeke.

Local News 8 was able to speak with several of the couple's neighbors and their statements paint a picture of who the couple was and how they lived.

According to their neighbor Jamie Sah, the couple was loved by everyone on the street.

Sah told Local News 8 Kali and Jeremy had been together for 10 years. The couple were avid outdoorsmen and spent much of their time snowboarding or hiking in the mountains.

"She (Kali) met him (Best) on a trip out here the the mountains," Sah said. "...And she came back for him."

Best would fix their neighbor's cars. As a silversmith, Kali would make the neighborhood kids jewelry for their birthdays.

Sah said Jeremy Best would clear hiking trails for her and her daughters to explore, and the couple would work together on Best's auto repair business.

The day before the tragedy, Sah told us she was texting Kali, who asked her, "what oil she had used on her belly during her pregnancy."

According to Sah, Jeremy Best never drank or smoke. She said he had "been sober for 20 years."

She told us he allegedly had a previous injury and was working to get off pain medication for the baby.

Best's court appearance was hard for her to watch. Though, Sah did mention Best's appearance wasn't out of the ordinary.

"He grew his hair out every winter..." Sah said. "Then every summer he would shave it off. Kali even cut it into a Mohawk."

Local News 8 ran a background check on Jeremy Best and the only charges before the Teton County homicide that we could find was a undefined misdemeanor charge from when best was 18, in 1993.

Sah said, "They were my good friends...but now I believe Jeremy is a monster."

Poor living baby. Poor mom. And poor fetus/next baby. I have a lot to say on the info tonight, don't know if I will get to it or should even post it but I, like you, never felt a good outcome in this one. Usually a lot of times or sometimes I feel child may be safer if a custody fight or bad time and one parent took them, but I never felt that here.

I have a lot more to say on it but not sure if I will get to or should. But she's from WI and went there because of him and that's the start of it.

He isn't insane. My guess. OF course we don't know enough but it is an educated one. Plus ID doesn't have that defense. They do have, like Means and Lori played, having to be restored to comptency to stand trial.

Let me just say this. He was 20 years sober per neighbor. But wanted to get off painkillers for coming baby. What about first baby? And HOW is that sober? That's a good start right there.

BOISE, Idaho — The preliminary hearing for Jeremy Best, the man accused of shooting and killing his wife and unborn child, has been postponed.
According to court documents filed Thursday, county prosecutors and lawyers representing Best co-filed a motion to suspend proceedings and postponed the Dec. 18 hearing.

During Best's arraignment on Dec. 4, the defense requested the Department of Health and Welfare conduct a mental competency evaluation.

On Thursday, both the prosecution and the defense said the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the case warrant postponing the hearing until the results from his competency evaluation are returned.

Suspected murderer Jeremy Best killed his son, 10-month-old Zeke, with a knife wound to the infant’s neck, officials say.

In an indictment filed Monday in Teton County court it was alleged that on or about Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, in Bonneville County “and/or elsewhere including Teton County,” Best “willfully, unlawfully, deliberately, with premeditation and with malice aforethought,” inflicted injury on the infant causing his death.

Best, 49, of Victor, previously had been charged with two felony counts of first-degree murder for the Nov. 30 deaths of his wife, Kali Randall, and their unborn child. He had fled the scene of the shooting with his infant son.

The prosecuting attorneys for both Bonneville and Teton counties announced in a joint news release Tuesday that Jeremy Best has been charged with an additional count of felony first-degree murder.

Best also faces three enhancements for using a firearm and a knife in the commission of the murders, according to the indictment.

According to the release, Best will be prosecuted in Teton County for all three deaths even though Zeke’s body was found in Bonneville County.

Bonneville Prosecuting Attorney Randy Neal said Idaho law allows both counties to have jurisdiction over this case as long as they are part of the same event. He gave an example of a police chase that starts in one county and ends in another, therefore setting up the two counties to have jurisdiction.

I am going to go back to this other post. She said he'd been sober 20 years and never drank or smoked but was working to get off painkillers for the baby (not babies). Working to get off painkillers is NOT sober. It isn't SOBER.

So it would be bad enough if he left a child to perish in the cold in the car while he was in a sleeping bag but no, he killed him with a knife. So we have another family annihilator, and as is often the case kills his own innocent family but his own hide is too precious, even protecting it with a sleeping bag, I mean we wouldn't want this evil POS to get cold now would we.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - An Idaho judge says court hearings can continue for Jeremy Albert Best.

Judge Dane Watkins, Jr. filed an order Friday saying Best is competent to continue court proceedings.

An arraignment has been scheduled for January 3, 2024, at 1 p.m.

Best has been under evaluation by the Department of Health and Welfare since his last court hearing on December 4.

Judge Dane Watkins, Jr. filed an order Friday saying Best is competent to continue court proceedings.

An arraignment has been scheduled for January 3, 2024, at 1 p.m.

Best has been under evaluation by the Department of Health and Welfare since his last court hearing on December 4.

Best is charged with three counts of First Degree Murder for the deaths of his wife Kali Randall Best.. their unborn baby and their 10-month-old son, Zeke.

No kidding. Why did he even take the child?! The child probably saw his mother killed too before dying himself. His last moments with his "dad" were probably awful

I'm glad they found him competent because the only place he belongs is prison.

This should be a DP case just like Daybell. Monster.

You know he had intent and planned it because he had time betweern the murder of pregnant mom and this child to COOL off!!! I assume anyhow that he killed him later after he took him.
