Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

Yes. I agree. Very creepy. Something is very wrong. I just usually don't think of 83 yr old's killing people. Especially doing that. And using a motorized cart. Huh?.

No. I wish. LOL. Just I think letting out some humor and steam. Deposition day was a build up to it and it has taken a few days after to process and let all of it out and a bit of relief started kicking in over time... If stress kills, I'm not sure how it is I'm still here after these past years... It has done its damage though.

I did have two beers the other day though when we went to lunch. Unheard of. I "made" my mom drive after that until we'd shopped for a few hours and then I drove us back to Wisconsin. I'm a responsible and mature adult LOL.

Yeah, late at night or in the wee hours when I get tired, if I have any humor in me... And then I'd just watched a video on a crime and in the comments under it people were talking about full moons and one cop said he absolutely can verify the full moon brings out the crazies and the crimes and then someone else that worked for a doctor said the same. Soooo I had full moon on the mind. That led me to Harvest Moon by Neil Young, etc. so yup, you got a MOON post because I saw the word MORON and if you take out the R you have MOON. LOL. My brain fires in odd ping pong directions at times... And you can't talk!! I don't always track your thoughts well LOL.

And she kept getting us into the left turn lanes when we didn't need to turn left!! We almost ended up on Interstate 35!! Going where we did not need to go!! Those dumb little MN towns...

She said well we are screwed now (not sure she said screwed but same idea) I have to get on it and I said NO, just sit here until we can get back over to the right, she started to turn onto the on ramp lane! It worked thank goodness and no one came up behind forcing us to go.

This is/was the day you may get chapters of yet in the cellar... LOL.

They are all awful. It sounds like the mom sporadically took the daughter from mom's adoptive mother/grandmother? Why? Why couldn't she just leave her there? I doubt we want to know why she'd want her with...

This one is extreme it seems for the amount of concern, reports and injuries to the child noted.

I HOPE this man is arrested in short order and their cops can do a better job than CPS apparently did.

May this sweet child RIP.
