JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

It has occurred to me that Lori representing herself has turned this trial into a spectator sport.
There's little doubt that that probably adds to people who are actually watching but not really sure, I'd be watching regardless if able to. I'm not going to lie though, seeing her react and "tick" is interesting...

Well that is what she is charged with so she had to know, if she is to be found guilty right?
She is charged with conspiracy. I was talking of the intervention wasn't I? Lol, don't confuse me, it isn't hard right now.

You are up late. I've napped twice today and can't figure out why so tired. Just up again.

I just looked for Nate's show and didn't see it. He is supposed to be on with Larry Woodcock. And have a juror on too from the other trial.

No, i just woke to use the loo then checked for updates.

Did she know about the intervention? Now that's a good point and a motive for the murder in addition to the life insurance right? Certainly they knew Adam was in town as he had told Alex. Let me sleep on it.

Sweet dreams. :)

I forgot last night and was just reminded by Larry and I caught it during trial, when it was Lori's turn to question Kay, Kay could barely been heard saying "oh boy" which I took to mean here she comes... I've been in courtrooms comments like such would probably be called out, like the "don't flatter yourself one" but this judge is very calm.

Nate had people send in 10 second videos of what they thought of the trial so far, that was kind of fun to watch.

This is really good. I don't usually run into Justin's shows but I did tonight.

Not sure what I think about witnesses talking before trial is over but it wouldn't be the first time I guess.

The above is a MUST watch imo. Lots of interesting things in here.

They are to avoid ID in testimony. Kay will never believe Alex was natural causes either.

But there are things other than that, like how odd Lori's family is and how they followed her as if she was their leader. THAT was an interesting remark, and I recall thinking this myself back when. It's worth the watch. And Justin did a great job.

Ok. Did she know about the intervention before Charles showed up that morning? That's an interesting one.

She certainly knew that Adam was visiting because he told Alex, and planned to stay with him. She could have guessed they might plan something and so got Alex over there as her protector. But then Adam said Alex wouldn't answer his phone when he arrived so he stayed in a hotel. He did not know Alex had gone to stay with Lori until he spoke to Charles, when Charles had turned up to pick up JJ and saw Alex's truck. After that he could not get hold of Charles. Lori would have had Charles' phone by then and probably found info on the phone about the planned intervention either before or definitely afterwards. So until his friend googled Charles' name and found out what happened, he didn't know.

Yet Adam was staying with his parents, so did they know about the planned intervention? They certainly knew about Charles' death when he spoke to them about it.

The murder actually came about because Tylee brought the bat out of her bedroom and Charles grabbed it, subsequently hitting Alex with it. That was not planned so is the only thing that could let her off the charge. They have to prove conspiracy which would have to include Tylee's actions IMO.

So whether she knew they were planning an intervention becomes irrelevant because of the self defense issue, which allowed them off the hook on the day. And left them free to commit the other murders.

I don't know that you will.

I also am pretty sure it was with Gilbert and about the kids, not Charles so much. Later in the cases as all developed imo if I recall.
They are on the witness list. Do you think she won't call them?

Did you notice the last access to Charles phone was on the day he was murdered, but hours after the police response?

See post 8339 for source -

"Adam said that he had been texting Vallow the morning he was shot and killed, but he didn’t find out until two days later that his brother-in-law had died. The last message he sent to Vallow was marked as read on July 11, 2019, hours after police responded to the deadly shooting."

When Charles saw Alex was there he texted Adam and suspected they were up to something. And he was right to be suspicious, as his death proved. The whole point of the trial is actualy about this. Was Alex there to specifically kill Charles or just to protect Tylee and Lori.

The intervention - clearly he told someone as that is the only way Lori could have known, in order to have Alex there for their protection.
I see it the same way in your first paragraph but the second paragraph? I’m not quite sure when Lori knew about the intervention. She did learn about it yes, but was it when she got a hold of Charles’s phone that day?
