ONGOING CRIME BREAKING NEWS!

Starting in January 2020, this thread is about the news as it breaks!

Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

IMO- stay in jail

Death! Evil! I'm so sick of their appeals and overturning sentences on technicalities. What about the victim and their families?! The fact that the ME cried on the stand shows how horrific this case is. An 8 yr old !!! AHHHHH!!!!:censored::censored:
Then you will be utterly disgusted to know that the beautiful headstone on Cherish's grave has been removed. Who would do such a vile thing? I bet my life it was that same vile creature who basically handed Cherish over to a monster.

The group that watches over her grave and cleans and decorates it have reported this info. They will be contacting the news and seeing what else they can do about the situation. Even in death, that vile creature finds a way to further disrespect and abuse Cherish.

I can't find anything in the news. He's still in Prison. His appeal was denied so it wasn't him. He definitely is vile beyond question. His record. He shouldn't have been let out to do it. He was and is an incredibly dangerous and evil person with previous kidnapping and attempted kidnapping charges that blamed his victims. If you have a link about the news story that would be great. :) Thank you for caring about her too. There are so many unfortunately that they tend to fade sometimes.

How could someone remove that headstone?. It's big. I can't imagine how much that weighs.

A teenage boy in an SUV with his mom jumped into action after realizing she was too drunk to drive, Kansas police say.

The 14-year-old “became scared for himself and his siblings” while riding in the passenger seat of a Ford Explorer on Wednesday morning in Liberal, police say.

He reached across the console, put the vehicle in neutral and steered to the side of the road before calling 911, police say. Officers responding to the scene for a 911 hang-up call found the vehicle at a home.

Its a matter of who would have control over the grave. That would be likely be Rayne since she was the legal parent of Cherish at that time. Who else would do such an evil thing? Its a shame they can't revoke her rights to anything to do with Cherish.
Why would her mother do that?.
