AJ FREUND: Illinois vs. Andrew Freund Sr. & JoAnn Cunningham for murder of son *GUILTY PLEAS*

His body was recovered April 24 from a shallow grave several miles away in rural Woodstock. His parents, Andrew Freund Sr., and JoAnn Cunningham, had reported him missing six days earlier, but were charged with first-degree murder and other felonies following the discovery.

Cunningham, 36, pleaded guilty to a murder charge in December and faces up to 60 years in prison when sentenced April 30.

Freund Sr., 61, last week requested a bench trial and is scheduled to return to court April 24, the anniversary of his arrest. Both remain held in the McHenry County jail on $5 million bail.

I am so sick of children being victims!!!. Either by long term abuse and neglect, A one time incident. Or by a pedophile that shouldn't have been let out to begin with!!!!! I was watching a documentary of the disappearance of "LeeAnna "Beaner" Warner" In 2003. From "Chisholm, MN". In a town under 5,000 population. There were 130 registered sex offenders. I truly believe one is responsible for her disappearance. IIRC. She would be 25 now. IIRC She was born in 1996.
I don't know who ever started this letting sex offender out sh*t on a list, what politician, what idiot, put them on a registry but release them, etc., etc. I don't have enough time and admit to not knowing who caused it and believe ME it was caused by someone although they likely never were put away even before that for long enough anyhow. If it isn't murder, no chance in he77 you are going to stay in prison for your lifetime UNLESS some drug dealer or USER of same. Really? Not sure what is worse.

People need to WAKE UP. You can't do anything about it. I can't. But we can YELL about it and maybe there is someone out there that CAN or has more chance of it than us.

We had one in my hometown where it does get announced placed like a couple of blocks from a school. It was announced and put in the paper and of course neighbors and people with kids had a sh*t fit. Not that big of a town. This is years ago now. They are as bad as murderers. They harmed a child forever on in their life.

What was the excuse, I don't even recall? They didn't have room in prisons? Ankle monitors, give them a chance? I am getting so cynical it was probably all about money, now we need to pay our buddy who provides the ankle monitors and we need more budge for personnel and probation officers and more employees where NONE of it went to doing the JOB.

Breasia Terrell waiting on a judge's verdict and then sentencing IF he finds DINK-INS guilty was murdered by a released sex offender who was NOT in compliance with the registry!! Davenport, IA. Bench trial. And for SOME REASON the verdict by the judge is a big wait AND in the meantime the DINK wrote a letter to the judge. So cool he had time to do that as if they all knew there'd be time where the public thought the judge would have a verdict in a day or two.

I'm wandering so I will stop.

Yes, crime against children, the elderly or the more than vulnerable than we are (and we are but not as vulnerable as THEM), a country and a world that doesn't PROTECT THEM makes me SICK. They maybe can't stop the FIRST crime but they can STOP another child or vulnerable person being hurt. I believe in God and all I can hope is those that are doing this and think nothing of it on their death get shown every child hurt or murdered (or other people murdered, etc.) because of their actions AFTER the person should have been imprisoned for LIFE but was let out or not sentenced correctly is then judged for their actions or EVEN their inaction and complicity and silence.

Yep I need to stop.

RIP Breasia and sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo mannnnnnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy MORE!

And AJ's life was so horrid that I can't even go there. Breasia I think did have some love and happiness in her life and people who cared and lived to be older than AJ. However, AJ was at the hands of his parents and Breasia was not. There is NO reason Breasia should have even been at Dink's house NOR that his own son should have.

That's another thing, if daddy is a Sex Offender even if it is of girls or a rapist of adults or is on the list, CUT OFF THEIR visitation and custody AND parental rights. His SON should not have even been there especially considering he was staying somewhere that was not his SO address on the SO registry! And Breasia most certainly shouldn't have been.

Different case than this one but anyone who knows both knows what I mean. Totally different things entirely BUT system failures in BOTH.

If that judge in Breasia's case comes back on Friday with anything less than the book thrown at the Dink with LIFE in prison (apparently this word doesn't get starred out so I am USING it now), then the Davenport IA area and courts are crooked. I"ve heard that in my lifetime so I'd like to see. I mean the Dink had time to write a letter to the judge.

And by the way SH*T for YT and the "real" news covered this trial or this case in recent times. NADA almost. No news reporters saying when one could expect a verdict from the judge on the bench trial, none saying it wouldn't be immediately, none questioning when or why but the dink apparently knew he had time to work on a letter. Days on end in fact.

Okay I need to stop.

Warning. I may be back for one more post back to AJ here. Tonight or tomorrow morning or may not make it back. Such as the lack of lawmakers these days doing meaningful or necessary things. And how there should be laws for criminal complicity or at least something like it for agencies like this. THEY basically assisted in his torture and murder. And for the record, I don't think it is only the workers being charged that are responsible here. The big ones always get off. And it is a joke I mention lawmakers when all that is going on these past years is not enforcing the laws and sentences we have/had.

Attorneys for two former Department of Children and Family Services workers charged in connection with the death of AJ Freund rested their case Friday without calling their clients, or anyone else, to testify.

With no defense given, the case against the two former child welfare agency employees was recessed until next month, when closing arguments are expected.

The surprisingly quick wrap-up of this phase of the trial happened after four days of testimony from prosecution witnesses that DCFS failed to intervene and remove the 5-year-old Crystal Lake boy from his household despite evidence that he was being abused.

So they went after two employees but are missing the head and that's what always happens IF anything is done. This entire agency or its leadership should be under fire. This wasn't small and it wasn't once and it isn't the only case with them. Did these people NOT have supervisors? How were they allowed not only to not do their job repeatedly BUT to place the children back with the mother, etc.? Over and over and over and over.

No defense put up. Interesting. I'd say this one is already decided. And NONE of this is enough. Not with this agency. Not in this case.

I am still waiting for heads to roll in California on the West case and that agency. Not holding my breath. Opposite thing entirely. Those were children who would have been better off with their mother or family but were adopted out to monsters in an adoption that never should have happened.

IT NEEDS TO STOP NOW!!!! 1 WAS TOO MANY!!!! NO MORE!!!! IT WAS THEIR JOB!!

A child being killed when a parent snaps one time is bad enough. But when a child dies from long term abuse and neglect. It just breaks my heart. I don't understand the brutality. And then removed sometimes to be put in another abusive situation. Like the "Turpin's". Put into another abusive home. Just unbelievable!!! Their vetting is S**T!!!!

This is a political issue too technically. Accountability. They need to pass laws for it. With very strict penalties. It's their job. WTF?!!! And often it's more than one worker. How can YOU ESPECIALLY FAIL A CHILD?!!!

And of course the abusers NEVER see the light of day. I'm sick of that s**t too. Getting out early. Creating more victims. There are more of us yelling about it than people in charge. But they continue to ignore it. Wait until it happens to someone important in government.

I'd go so far as to say there really IS NO VETTING these days.

I agree but since when does our government protect our people and especially children, elderly, etc.

Part of what started SOME of this is years ago I believe it was the Clinton Administration offered extra big money for states that adopted out so many children a year. The catch of it was to get that money each following year they had to adopt out as many again AND surpass that number by how many. WELL you can imagine what that did to corrupt agencies or ones wanting that big money, etc. and Cali is one of them. And where the West boys were was VERY MUCH ONE of them (the agency). They basically took these two boys and where they were to be fostered and there was every chance the mom would get them back and there were family members AND fathers that could have taken them, etc. and they somehow let the West ADOPT them and faster than what is allowed if I recall. ALSO Jacqueline and Trezell had NOTHING, no jobs, no home, etc. AND three children of their own and other foster children. Not a thing about them would have been approved to adopt in the days we remember and most people think still are the case with adoptions (it isn't, it isn't at all like it used to be).

So these agencies get big federal extra money but do you think it goes to training more social workers, etc. or such? When does anything in a government office or agency go to such things. It goes in pockets or to the higher ups, etc. So many people say the issue with CPS agencies is not enough workers, not enough help and that they need more money. NO that isn't the answer. First the money doesn't go where it should imo and SECOND if they can't do a decent job or do their job WITH ANY CHILD or check on them, etc. then they sure don't need MORE that are trained like this or told to do this or whatever goes on.

And THEN people think when you have adopted children there is no money like there is with foster care. That IS NOT TRUE either. There is financial benefit. It is really really hard to find even on the internet, I don't think they WANT the public knowing but it is HARD to find. Maybe it's gotten easier to find now, not sure. I looked har more than once over the years and FINALLY found some things on it back when the West case was hot.

We don't know it but somehow apparently loser abusive parents KNOW THEY CAN GET MONEY for it.

I hate to be cynical but this world is so many years past where anything could have been turned around it isn't even funny. On to top of it all they keep us too divided and too busy dealing with our own ******** and red tape in life to do anything about anything else. That's my opinion. And while doing that (and many just give up and care less about following it, caring or taking care or helping anyone but themselves and their own). I'm sidetracking but feel it is the truth.

It takes constant yelling and constant never letting it die and making it big. The West case was the most overboard YT and SM (beyond okay with some doing shows) and now it is hardly followed. All were yelling then about the agency, the parents, etc. and now it is hardly followed that I can see. They wait for the hubbub to die down like about that ROTTEN agency, etc. There were people like daily yelling in front of the grandparents' home for months, etc., one of THOSE cases. Off the rails. Now silence even during the West trial which ALL WANTED but also it was kept pretty quiet from arrest to trial for the most part and the trial was going on when our other big ones were with NO cameras, etc. and not the news of the day compared to the other ones.

Okay now I am really sidetracking.

This agency with AJ imo is another one that should be destroyed and ALL FIRED, all higher ups for SURE. ANY worker who had ONE time looked at his case or handled it. AND BE PROSECUTED criminally. NOT JUST THE WORKERS. WHO was OVERSEEING THEM?

I need to stop. Just got done with a 10+ hour day and have another tomorrow that starts even earlier.

Trust me in that I am not going to shut up about this stuff when I see it either BUT it isn't like I am on many places online or in life I can make big waves about it or have the time and that's sad. Some YTer needs to do a channel just taking things like this up becuase MOST PEOPLE AGREE WITH IT. About sentencing, what is going on in our courts, about early release over and over for felons, etc., etc. ABOUT child molestors, murderers of children, failure in our system to protect, etc., etc., etc. and make it just a platform about such things and get a big following and keep it growing. They need to be like one of these laywers that are on or someone that won't get zany, off the rails, go beyond what will work. Logic, common sense, fairness, JUSTICE and expecting our government and our agencies to do their jobs, lawmakers and judges, etc. too. Most of them touch on such things while talking of cases here and there but it isn't enough. It needs to be a movement. And you know what, that's probably a DREAM, a fantasy and I'm cynical. Never used to be but when it comes to this stuff I am...

And again I need to stop. I have like no time and right back to work in few hours and haven't even taken my shoes off yet. Sigh.

Thinking of this little boy tonight. One of the ones I followed and started out when missing and ended up having to hear awful details of what really happened when they solved it.

I am way overdue to bump it. If DCF or whatever agency they call it there has not been taken to major task, people dismissed and CHARGED, justice has still not resulted in full.

All made the mother out to be worse than the dad but he was EVERY BIT as bad. They BOTH are.

I hope his brother is safe and doing well. I hope her baby she had in jail was given a FULL chance of life, not even sure, if adopted or some family member was fit.

There was also an older brother and he got out and I hope he is doing well.

Dad was an attorney and there is a tendency for the story to go about how bad mom was and this woman he met and his law firm tried to get him help, detoxed, etc. but he was JUST as bad.

Two brothers here living in the home and in he77 and the details of what AJ suffered are the kind I don't want to think about.

The COPS TRIED to do something but then DCF would NOT do their job and follow through. NEIGHBORS knew and tried. Horrible, horrible case.

RIP AJ.
