I think it's pretty obvious, unfortunately. LE isn't going to say "we don't think the timeline is accurate", basically calling the father a liar, unless they have a very good reason for doing so. They're probably asking the community if he's wandered because they know the dad is a liar and can't trust his word on anything. If he says, "Oh yeah he's totally wandered off before in the middle of the night..." it's probably to cover his actions.
LE isn't sharing? They've shared more in this case than in any other in recent memory. Without using the words directly, they've called dad a liar about the timeline and brought in the FBI within hours. "Won't comment" on any signs of foul play. Now they're searching the dumpsters tonight.
Codi Bigsby's father said he last saw his son in their home around 2 a.m. on Jan. 31. His dad said when woke up around 9 a.m., Codi was gone.

When asked if there were any signs of foul play, the chief said he did not want to comment on that.
Yes, you are right and great points. I am always trying to walk the dance of not accusing when one doesn't know. And to check myself if I am cynically jumping to the wrong conclusion and find if others see it the same way.
LE has said a lot without exactly saying, you hit the nail on the head. I dance around it as I am never sure that others feel the same and to respect I guess that dad is a victim who lost a son if he
didn't do it... JT experiences perhaps will always linger all this time later... Even though I followed the rules...
You, when you think it, put it right out there and I like to but I guess there is this instinct for many reasons to see first... Sometimes when I do put it right out there well I find I am in the minority lol... Even here.
I said in the careful veiled way that all can about guess what I think most likely... And I agree with you LE is doing things they don't in most cases with what they are saying, however, they are also doing it as much in what they DON'T say. Can't talk about the family dynamics, mom answered questions but won't answer if she is cooperative, etc. BUT then I have to factor in media and IS it LE or is it the media spin and I think we all know how that goes and one always has to wonder as they get it wrong so often or twist to hype... And this case is brand new so I tell myself it is first information and news gets it wrong, etc. Wait a bit...
But yes, it seems likely and pretty clear LE is not buying it... They are saying it in a way but they are also doing it in a roundabout "not saying it" way... LE I mean... And I guess I am doing the same.
I did say kids that age don't go out in the dark or seek it, at least not most... I'll tell ya that Australia one (which seems to have ended any new news rather abruptly, not that I've checked but what a convoluted mess reporting was on that one and a few others lately... so I have to wonder in first blush of a case if it is media or LE...
From the very start like you and others said, the time, that he was wearing shoes, etc. But I try to be fair in the first throes... Even though I am THINKING noo... Uh-uh. No way. And I think you all know by now I rarely think abduction or believe it. Not saying it doesn't happen though...
We had a little girl here, just a year or two ago, maybe 3 (time flies)--and NOTHING like that happens here--that went out the front door of the house... In dark and cold temps... I think she was maybe 3? She wasn't 4 and might have even been 2. Mom was working that night and she was home with dad. I think she was barefoot and in a nightgown or pjs. No coat, etc. He had fallen asleep I believe and thought she was I guess falling asleep beside him (not sure I remember perfectly) and the door was not locked...
For as small as the area is, I had no knowledge of who any of the family where. Man I had doubts. They found her a couple of blocks away maybe dead near a river. No charges, parents were devastated is what I heard. I didn't buy it right away, but there were tracks apparently, there was sn*w... So even though I say most children wouldn't, and even though I don't think abduction is usually what happened, there is always that one case or two...
I am rambling here but in other cases others will tell me they think something is an abduction when I don't think it is and they tell me it does happen and of course it is probably what did. Well yes it does but it isn't as common as people think imo... I probably used to think so until I just saw so many cases long enough where it was the parent, bf, etc. FAR too often... But yes, it does happen. And in the case of the little girl I just mentioned, until I knew more I wondered about dad... But apparently was wrong... But I did wonder... So I just kind of start out not saying well this is fishy right from the start... And media gets much wrong in the early days always it seems... And this one just happened today... Not like it is a few days old or more...
What I think in some... The Michael Vaughn case? Okay. I am not okay with that one. I don't know what it is. But I don't believe something but I don't know what I don't believe. Most are sure he was abducted. I'm not even close to sure of that. I think on that one I'm in the minority...
Anyhow, I guess I was due to get longwinded. It has been one heckuva day. But yep, I agree. I think most likely this happened right at home and quite likely not when said...
One case (there are a few) that really IRKS me is Braylen Noble. And I think we'd agree on that one too. I will NEVER understand that one...
