Have you seen Codi Bigsby since Christmas? Hampton Police ask new questions from public as search continues

As searchers continue to look, Hampton Police is asking the public if they’ve not only seen Codi or Cory Bigsby, but if they have seen them since Christmas. Hampton Police is also handing out fliers around the area to ensure that the community knows to keep their eyes open for four-year-old Codi Bigsby.

I'm starting to wonder if the siblings are talking. Could be why they're using Christmas as a reference point.

Well LE stated what I think, no child that young but old enough to know some things chooses to go out in the dark generally speaking. a 2 year old may end up locked out accidentally and not have any idea but not a 4 year old. Imo.

It isn't even like there was an 8 year old even with these kids and better yet, a teenager. All so young.

So Cody sounds like he is from one mother. This man had several of his own kids he was alone taking care of so he left them home? Where is the gf or mother of the others? And why does he have custody (apparently) of them all... and not any of the mothers, it seems there are at least two if not three...

In this case, I have little illusion or hope this child is alive. I also don't believe he wandered off.

Family lawyer: Cory Bigsby wasn't at Hampton Police station by choice

The lawyer for Cory Bigsby, who is considered a person of interest in his 4-year-old son Codi's disappearance, said his client was held at Hampton Police Division headquarters against his will.

On Thursday night, Bigsby was arrested for felony child endangerment charges unrelated to his son's disappearance. He had been at the police station since Monday morning when he first reported Codi missing.

Chief Mark Talbot had said that Bigsby stayed at the station for four days willingly, had been made aware of his rights, and hadn't asked for a lawyer.

In a press conference about the search for little Codi on Friday, Talbot said: "Mr. Bigsby is a 43-year-old man who's had a full career in the army. He retired from a position of authority. He seems to be quite intelligent, he seems to be quite capable, and part of his capabilities seems to be understanding his rights. At no time did he request to see an attorney. Had he made such a request, we would have honored that request."

When Ambrose met with Bigsby for the first time on Friday afternoon -- after Bigsby's arrest and arraignment -- he said his client denied that claim.

Bigsby told Ambrose he was at police headquarters involuntarily, contrary to the chief's statement. Ambrose said he's planning to watch security videos of the interviews with Bigsby, to review the officers' wording.

Do we have a lawyer that is akin to an "ambulance chaser" maybe? Sees a case, that this man was questioned for days, tried to see him but the defendant knew nothing bout it so the cops refused as def had not asked for an attorney...

He finally manages to connect with him and def says okay, represent me.

I don't know, skimmed the articles quickly... I did think it was unusual they had him there that many days and wondered but then they charged him.

I hope it is recorded so there can be no question. Waiting to see what shakes out.

In the meantime, this child is missing.

and he stayed there "voluntarily" for 4 days. That to me says he knows his son isn't coming home, too.
