During the press conference, Chief Talbot said Codi's dad said he woke up Monday morning and found his son was missing. The father said he looked all over and Codi was nowhere to be found.

Hampton Police search for missing 4-year-old last seen in his home near Buckroe area around 2 a.m.​

Hampton Police need the public's help in locating a missing 4-year-old boy.

4-year-old Cody Bigsby was last seen in his father's home at 2 a.m., Monday.

According to police, around 9 a.m., they were called to the 100 block of Ranalet Drive for a missing juvenile. When they arrived at the scene they spoke with Cody's father who said he was last seen in his home.

Police describe Cody as a 4-year-old boy, approximately 3 feet tall. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and Spider-Man flip-flops.

Cody Bigsby was reported missing at 9:06 a.m. from a residence in the 100 block of Ranalet Drive, in the Buckroe Beach neighborhood. Bigsby’s father told police that the boy was last seen in the residence at around 2:00 a.m. Monday, according to the Hampton Police Division.

Two long months have passed since the disappearance of Hampton 4-year-old Codi Bigsby.

Hampton police said the boy’s father, Cory Bigsby, reported him missing on January 31.

A spokesman for the Hampton Police Division said there are no updates in the case. Still, community groups are helping search for Codi.

“While there is a 4-year-old missing child, the question now becomes, 'Will he be found?'” said Water Team Inc. founder Joe Slabinski.


"Nobody has found anything that pertained to Codi,” Slabinski said.

Slabinski said his team has covered a lot of ground.

“But it becomes now, where do you go next?” Slabinski asked. “We have kind of run our course in Hampton, still looking at areas in Norfolk, still looking at areas in York County. Williamsburg, we are starting to play around with some areas up there, along the interstate.”

No it doesn’t, Father been in jail for 2 months and he hasn’t even spoken or asked about Codi, he’s more worried about if his family got his things into the new house! NEVER asked about Codi!

I agree it makes no sense--helping in any way you can to find your son would be I would think any parents' natural response and even leading an effort.

She could call them Anonymously and give them some sort of information maybe a Tip anything would help at this point!
We had a meeting the other night and was like if someone would just let us know where he is so we can give this baby a proper Burial there would be no questions asked! We just want him found and laid to rest! 10 weeks of searching for this baby is taking a toll on all of us in the community! It’s been a nonstop search, we have 1 just 1 non profit organization that is helping in the search (Water Team inc) so with only a total of like 15-20 people are searching! We have begged pleaded for the News to put it out that we need more volunteers and that was a No go! We have a boat now so we can search the water ways!! It’s really hard and very emotional but we will NOT give up on Codi!

Yes we have reached out to every News channel there is and it has been on CourtTV, NBCNigtly News HLN News and of course local news channels! I post on Twitter along with a bunch of other folks to keep his name in the News! We have also reached out to all the missing persons organizations, our governors, the president, Vice President, FBI, different nonprofit search groups etc.. we are trying to get a Codi Alert because as you know he didn’t meet all the criteria’s for a Amber Alert! If this passes then anyone will get a Codi Alert without criteria’s! So if you could put that in your prayers that we receive it!

It’s a nice place to live, but things are getting out of control with all the shootings and killing but that going on in the whole 757 area

I was just skimming and refreshing my memory on the things in this case. I had forgotten offhand about the judges recusing themselves. Since you are from the area, do you know why three judges recused from the case? It is very unusual imo to see that.

You know they never did say, but I’m sure it has something to do with maybe a Domestic abuse case where the mother of Codi filled charges against him and he’s been in trouble before that so they know of him, I’m really not sure!
