AZ DANIEL ROBINSON: Missing from Buckeye, AZ - 23 June 2021 - Age 24

daniel-robinson.jpg

David’s son, Daniel Robinson, 24, vanished June 23 while working in a remote area of Buckeye, Arizona.

Police have said they have no evidence of foul play or violent criminal activity. However, Robinson’s blue Jeep was found by a rancher one month after he was reported missing. His keys, wallet and cellphone were in the vehicle but there was no sign of him.

Some who have examined the case, including the family’s private investigator, Jeff McGrath, aren’t so sure there was no foul play. McGrath doesn’t believe Daniel Robinson was in his car when it flipped over, and recently pointed out to NewNation that “the vehicle had 11 additional miles on it from when the airbags deployed. It had 46 additional ignition cycles on it after the airbags deployed.” McGrath also said there was paint on the vehicle that couldn’t be attributed to the place it was found.

PHOENIX — Where is Daniel Robinson? That’s the question his family has been asking for a year and a half now. Robinson was last seen in Buckeye in June of 2021.

David Robinson, Daniel's father, said he is not giving up the fight to find Daniel. He has scheduled another big desert search for February and hopes to finally find answers in his son’s mysterious disappearance.

David has had to scale back the search for his son because of limited funds. A gofundme for Daniel’s search has raised more than $326,000. The next desert search is scheduled for the weekend of Feb. 18.

Buckeye police said the investigation is active. Most recently, detectives have been using technology to develop a clearer picture of Daniel’s activities leading up to his disappearance. These updates are communicated with Daniel’s family regularly, according to police.

David said the Tempe Police Department did forensics on Daniel’s electronics and he’s waiting for the report.

Daniel Robinson case: Buckeye Police detail the latest search for the missing Arizona geologist

The Buckeye Police Department is revealing information on recent search efforts for missing Arizona geologist Daniel Robinson who went missing June 2021.

Throughout the last few years, there have been many reports of human remains being found in and around Buckeye, but none of them turned out to be the young man. Robinson's father, David, has been leading search efforts for his son – and dozens have joined in.

On Feb. 21, police said a special three-day operation didn't bring the search for Robinson any closer to an end.

"A specialized search operation has yielded no additional clues in the missing person investigation of Daniel Robinson. Buckeye police collaborated with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and utilized contractors in the three-day search effort this month," Buckeye Police said.

What prompted the search was a tip police got about possible human remains inside a well on Jan. 27. That same well had already been searched.

"The well is located approximately half a mile north of where Daniel was last seen. As a result, BPD contracted a company to scope the well on February 9th to view the contents. On February 13th, another contractor used heavy equipment to reach the depth of the well at nearly 1,000 feet to remove the contents for further examination. No human remains were found," the department said.

On Feb. 18, Buckeye Police, along with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, retraced their steps in the desert area where Robinson was last seen.

The search involved at least 60 personnel, three K-9 teams, 6 horses from the mounted unit, five crews on ATVs, four crews on the ground and a person operating a drone.

In the end, police say "the search did not reveal any additional evidence related to Daniel’s case."

Mail-in protest started in support of Daniel Robinson, missing geologist

The father of a geologist who went missing in Buckeye is calling on supporters to flood the city with letters to keep the search going.

Also for a comprehensive background from Buckeye LE regarding MP.
(enlightening imo)

Indeed, that info offers a lot of valuable insight.
Re helicopter searches, was the first one not at a low altitude? The first one’s described as simply “aerial” while the one following the discovery of his vehicle is described as “low altitude”.
Anyway, it’s not only a damned shame but inexplicable to me that the vehicle wasn’t located on that first helicopter search.
And whose skull was found and then other remains after that? Is it positively ruled-out that none of those are Daniel’s remains? (Sorry if I’ve missed it but) if so, how so?

Apparently, DNA results ruled out that any remains found were Daniel’s. One set was identified but from what I can ascertain, the man hadn’t been reported as a missing person, however, there is one other man reportedly still missing from that area.

Details on missing Daniel Robinson case made public by Buckeye Police, investigation continues

On May 31, the Buckeye Police Department released an updated missing persons report for geologist Daniel Robinson who disappeared in June 2021.

In the updated report, investigators released information not yet previously made public. Those findings are below and are verbatim from the department.
  • Using advanced data extraction, detectives uncovered location data in Daniel’s cell phone placing the phone at the crash site at approximately 10:05 a.m. the morning Daniel went missing.
  • Tempe Police assisted the investigation in forensically processing Daniel’s electronic devices including personal computers, a work computer and an I-pad. Preliminary findings did not reveal information that could help locate Daniel. Buckeye police detectives continue to analyze the raw data.
  • Buckeye police provided a case briefing for the incoming Special Agent in Charge at the FBI Phoenix Field Office. This was the second FBI briefing.
  • Buckeye police investigated a sighting reported by an individual who claimed to have had a brief encounter with Daniel in the Hassayampa river bottom the day he went missing. Digital evidence from Daniel’s vehicle systems and electronic devices does not align with information provided by the reporting party.
"The Daniel Robinson missing person case is open and active, therefore the record being released at this time is not to be considered complete. The investigation is ongoing," Buckeye PD said.

BUCKEYE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - This month marks two years since geologist Daniel Robinson went missing from a work site in Buckeye. Investigators found his car crashed a month later, but there have been no signs of Robinson since.

Buckeye Police just released an updated report on the case, and his father is now responding to the new information that’s out in the public. His family and investigators are going on two years of searching for the missing geologist, who vanished in late June 2021.

His car was found crashed with all his belongings inside, but Robinson was never seen again. The police report revealed when detectives extracted data from Robinson’s Google searches in the week leading up to his disappearance. Some searches stuck out like “love changed me,” “delete Instagram account,” “shooting Tempe,” “explosion,” and “I’m okay to do things I hate.”

But Robinson’s dad, David, had just talked to his son on the phone and didn’t hear anything alarming. “Outside of the history for searching things like that, he definitely did not display that openly,” said David Robinson.

The new information in the report shows Robinson’s phone at the crash site at 10:05 a.m., and it stopped tracking just after 10:30 a.m. That becomes very important with the other new details. We learned much more about a witness named Bill, who claimed to have seen Robinson in the area after he disappeared.

Bill noticed Robinson’s new jeep and said he wore a reflective work shirt and boots. He also noticed Robinson was missing part of his arm, consistent with Robinson’s disability. “At first his story seemed to be valid. I even mentioned it at my second family press conference that there was a second person who saw my son,” said David.

But Bill claimed to have seen Robinson around 11:30 a.m., then changed his story to different potential sighting times, none that matched the data of Robinson’s phone at the crash site by 10 a.m. The police report also casts suspicion that Bill may not have been truthful about a law enforcement background. “Those were red flags for me. I went to the Buckeye Police Department with that,” said David.

After Buckeye Police interviewed Bill just two weeks ago, they issued this statement in their report: “At this time, there is no evidence in Billy’s electronic devices or phone records which helps to corroborate or disprove his story. The data in Daniel’s phone does not align with his story and it remains unclear what his motivation would be to lie about talking to Daniel the day he went missing.”

72 Hours in Buckeye, Arizona: The Search for Daniel Robinson

MORNING
Some 60 miles outside of Phoenix in the Sonoran desert, David Robinson moved briskly through a crowd of volunteers. The cold February morning brought an unwelcome cast over the eerie desert, while Robinson again donned his combat boots, camo fatigues, holstered firearm. By 7:45 a.m., he stood in front of over 100 volunteers issuing orders and dividing them into groups. His voice rang through the crowd as all attention was given to him with only the ATV motor roaring in the background. Soon, volunteers began fanning out across the desert on a special mission. While all were commissioned to complete separate tasks, they all had one goal: to find any sign of Daniel Robinson.

Alicia Navarro’s return sparks hope for family of Daniel Robinson

While Alicia Navarro’s case continues to spur questions about what happened to her over these last 4 years, her safe return has brought a newfound hope to valley families with missing loved ones. It’s something Daniel Robinson’s father is now reflecting on after advocating with Alicia’s mom over the last two years as they both searched for their missing children.

It was just two months ago that Alicia Navarro’s mom and Daniel Robinson’s dad were doing livestreams on social media to bring awareness to their missing children’s cases. Alicia Navarro disappeared in 2019, and Daniel Robinson vanished in 2021. Both cases were at a bit of a standstill until this week.

So, it was a major turn of events for everyone when Alicia unexpectedly showed up alive and nearly 1,400 miles away, something even investigators don’t often see after four years. “I dream about Daniel showing up alive. I have it in my dream. He’s just going to pop up. And to see this happen in this case, it brings new hope,” Robinson said.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A retired U.S. Army veteran says his missing geologist son Daniel Robinson may be the victim of a crime based on evidence uncovered by the family's private investigator after police found his wrecked Jeep abandoned in a remote Arizona desert.

Local police, however, say they've found no indication of foul play, and David Robinson, who served two tours in Afghanistan, told Fox News Digital he hopes the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office intervenes.

"I didn't believe my son suffered a severe injury that caused him to kick out the sunroof, shred all his clothes off, hide in a tree, join a monastery and become a monk," said the father, who previously had a private investigator on the case. "So, I had to get a second opinion about that."

He said his son's Jeep traveled 11 miles after all the airbags deployed, and the investigator found signs someone besides police searched the missing geologist's bedroom after his disappearance. The family has also received ominous but unverified messages on social media, including a photograph of a man holding a gun who the anonymous sender claimed was the missing Robinson's killer.

The elder Robinson issued a public call for help at CrimeCon 2023 in Orlando over the weekend, where he took the stage alongside the families involved in other high-profile disappearances, including travel blogger Gabby Petito, 22, and the 19-year-old self-made farmer Dylan Rounds. The families said law enforcement, which was slow to accept a missing person report for Petito, has been even slower to act on cases involving the two young men.

'I cannot stand still and sit here and do nothing': Father of missing Arizona man runs for US Congress

The father who spearheaded dozens of search efforts for his missing son in Arizona has announced his candidacy for United States Congress with a campaign focused on helping families of missing people.

David Robinson said he led 49 searches in the desert near Buckeye, Arizona for his missing son, Daniel Robinson. During that time, David Robinson saw firsthand the challenges both loved ones and law enforcement face in missing person cases.

It's that experience with his son's disappearance that David Robinson was thinking of when he announced his run for U.S. Congress in his home state of South Carolina.

"I had to do something when I started seeing some of these challenges that families face when they look for their loved ones," David Robinson said.

David Robinson said his campaign will also focus on issues facing his district in South Carolina, such as freeing up funds for infrastructure improvement, but helping the hundreds of thousands of family members of missing people is one of his top priorities.

"My job is — as a citizen, as a person, as a constituent, as a father who's fighting for my son — is to do something about it. I cannot stand still and sit here and do nothing," David Robinson said. "My desire to run for office is to help families out there struggling with missing loved ones’ cases, also to aid law enforcement, and try to streamline the way cases are handled nationally."

Admirable until they find themselves in the swamp that can't be fixed or gotten out of without more scars from the corrupt.

All for what he feels and wants to do though.

I don't talk politics but since it was brought up, a coworker told me to today that Aarron Rodgers is going to be Kennedy's running mate. Okayyyy.. I mean I'm a diehard Packer fan BUT.... Plus he isn't ours any longer so take him.

  • David Robinson, who's spent the last two years searching for his son, is running for US Congress.
  • The veteran hopes his campaign will add momentum to the search for Daniel, who disappeared in July 2021.
  • For months, Robinson traveled across the US to search personally for Daniel in the Arizona desert.
Every fortnight or so, David Robinson starts his YouTube livestream, upbeat and all smiles.

"When the lights and camera turn off, I will be here," he rumbles in one of his intros. The Arizona desert appears on the screen. "When the interests and conversations fade, I will be here."

A 53-year-old Army veteran with a clean-shaven head and thick-rimmed glasses, Robinson speaks for up to several hours at a time about the search for his young adult son, Daniel. Each video typically receives less than 400 views.

It's been two and a half years since Robinson began investigating his son's disappearance and since he crossed state lines into Arizona, where Daniel vanished in July 2021. Robinson's GoFundMe has raised over $370,000 to fund search operations there, and he leads a social media campaign to raise awareness for his search.

But 33 months in, he's frustrated.

"It's inexcusable for us to have as many missing persons cases in this country as we do," he said in a stream on March 10.

Stuck on leads and battling tensions with law enforcement, Robinson, a father of five, has turned to a new move to find his son: He's running for Congress.

Well he has fought for the case of his missing son to get attention and it gets little. Case in point, there are less than TWO pages here on the case, can that be argued? Not interesting to people I guess? Don't care?

He's had no one pick it up and champion it and make big news out there about it.

Reminds me of the FL woman, can't think of the name offhand, and her dad. I think her purse was found at a beach or in a park, her dad commits his life to trying to get justice but no one picks it up or does a show and then that's it. But part of that is because of LE and NO NEWS to report. How can you keep something alive when LE isn't active on it?

I'll be honest and that's why the last cases I look at here are he ones that are old with no activity. One can rehash them and that's about it.

I KNOW of this one though and coming in and seeing HERE it has not even reached two full pages is SAD as HECK. I do or will try to make cases not getting attention more active or give them some attention. I can name a few that started out that way and imo were attempted to be shoved under the rug. Serenity Dennard was one and I was not here then. NO ONE was following her case!! That was at JT.
