To start. I have always found Serial Killers fascinating. What makes them do what they do?. I know I am not the only one. This is the place to talk about it. I'll start. Who do you find the most fascinating and why?.

Yet they only talk of 12 people so far. Do they mean that each time they found ONE bone of any ONE person it is counted as a remain or ONE tooth, etc. because it doesn't add up at all.

Not that I mean ONLY 12, 12 is most definitely a serial killer and a LOT but it isn't ten THOUSAND. The name sounds familiar so wondering if I or someone didn't see something about one victim found or about him or some such at some point in time...

If it was 10,000 PEOPLE let me tell you there'd be one on ever inch of the 18 unless he piled all in one pit, spot, etc. That's only six more acres than I have and it isn't as big as some might think.

I can only guess that yes every time they find a bone, a tooth, a toe (hate being graphic) they count it as remains or 10K makes no sense. This would also tell us the SK probably dissected or took apart every bit of their bodies, can't think of the right word, what is the word I want? When they cut up the body? Whether because it a thing for them or to hide it or burn it or whatever more easily. It's not decapitate, that is the head. I am thinking of all words but the right one.

Regardless, sure all know what I mean. I don't see where they get the 10K unless they suspect him of 10K who are named, missing and they haven't found yet. Article didn't explain it. or unless they are counting every find of any body part and even then it is a lot... or have they identified that each part doesn't match the same individuals DNA and they have 10K different ones...?I mean how many is that a day even if he started back in the decades they talk of...

500 seems awfully high to me. 50 would be high to me as well. I'd think ten to twenty would be possible.
 
That's a lot but then we KNOW we aren't always told or most areas and LE are averse to tell of just how many are operating or in their area or if there is even one suspected of doing such in one town, city, or area.

Hard to say with it being Daily Mail. Haven't looked at the link but did they give a source one can go verify this is true through the F B I somehow?

Truck driving would be an occupation an SK would gravitate towards or some of them and we've seen such... And I doubt the public hears or has the fear instilled of how many cases are thought to be connected and due to an SK in the States, look at the OR thing...

But it is Daily Mail and so I'd question. I guess I should go read the link. 500 victims would make more sense and a handful of killers but who KNOWS how ignorant we are or how little we are told...
 
Okay I read it. Definitely quite the read and interesting but as they do, they talk past and present and the numbers dont' add up. They talk 850 to 1000 victims found along interstates many unsolved and talk of different killers and years but how most are unsolved. A serial killer takes three and the math does not compute. It's interesting all right and I think though by far no all truck drivers are doing such and that's something they fail to make clear, and some just cheat while on the road and hurt no one. The sex worker life style comes with its risks and everyone knows that. Sex workers don't only knock on truck doors at truck stops, they knock on room doors of the ones who stay in motels. Had a co worker who told me how often this would happen to her husband who shared it with her. They preferred he stay in motels as they could afford it or work paid for it, I forget but it went on there too.

I think Daily Mail was wrong in saying in one breath how pimps and older sex workers teach the younger ones to be safe (ha ha) but then talks out of the other side of the moutn as to how they get beat if not making enough money and are controlled by Mr. Pimp who does not give them the money and hurts them himself. And so no they wouldn't be desperate to go with someone they figured maybe gave the wrong vibe if desperate to make quota. It's all disgusting and so are the men that pick them up instead of Saying do you have a family or mom and dad and can I help you out of this lifestyle... Probably wouldn't find many that would take them up on it as drugs play in with many too but men do not have to avail themselves of sex workers which only helps the industry and the abuse of these women, the danger they are in, the lifestyle, etc.

It's interesting but sensational in my opinion and I think spans time AND again the math doesn't add up. They might be looking for ONE killer of each victim found on interstates or some such but not all are SKs most likely and again it seems to span many years.

There IS code with truck drivers and there IS code at truck stops and more. So is there with men who use them or just pay them for say a BJ whether a truck driver or not.

I think the term Lot Lizard which I've been aware of for years says it all as to how much respect they have for such. NONE. But not all truckers do such. I don't doubt a great many do though, employ the "service". That's a lot different than killing them.

Pedro Lopez. I know about him. How in the HE77 did they think it was O.K. to release him?!!! IIRC He is the serial with the most victims, CHILDREN!!! Of modern times. West Mesa. I believe LE was close to arresting the perpetrator, He killed himself. I don't remember his name. The I-70 case baffles me. Just stopped after the brief spree. There didn’t seem to be a motive, Other than killing women. We all know about truckers that have been serial killers. It's perfect for them. But 500?. I am not buying that. If they are talking with trafficking, Maybe. But trafficking is such a go to now.

AGree 100 percent and it's been a long time ago but we've been through all this. Keeping them alive and on death row is a major monied thing. Yeah it may cost but they get given and granted major bucco bucks. And the ones in charge get a nice fat paycheck and so forth. It costs someone, probably us, but not them. Major, major thing. It isn't easy to find but it is out there.

But I agree with all else. And the appeals are beyond ridiculous. Make them, rule on such within a year, or be nice and give it two and DONE. Execution.

you KNOW we are on the same page. There are also like private prisons now too. Major bucks.

Sh*t I have had a helluva few days (more). I think I landed on and responded to maybe an old post. Lol.

Not sure, but think so. Just know I am about at wit's end today. Trying to relax and get over it before tomorrow.

So if an old one wasn't meaning to start a conversation on it as I know it's been talked of before.

It has been stated it was 8 million dollars to execute Bundy. What?! How?! Electricity isn't that dsm much. Yrs. Make justice SWIFT. AGREE COMPLETELY!!! Yes, These decades of appeals are complete bull$***!!!
