EVELYN BOSWELL: Tennessee vs. Megan Boswell for 2019 murder of daughter

Who picked up Evelyn's mom from jail when she bonded out? I couldn't tell.

Evelyn's mom is still in jail. It was Megan's mom who bonded out. They said they believe it was Megan's mom's father who picked her up or in other words, Evelyn's great grandfather I believe? I won't swear e I have that straight but I believe it is. I know, confusing isn't it?

ullivan County jail records reveal Megan Boswell, the mother at the center of a statewide AMBER alert, is not pregnant.

Megan Boswell previously stated to News 5 in an interview that she was pregnant, which is why she was not able to take a polygraph test.

"I am pregnant....that's why they wont give me a polygraph. Due to policy if you are pregnant they will not give you one."

Sheriff Jeff Cassidy stated in a press conference on Wednesday, Feb. 26th, that Megan Boswell has made inaccurate statements to police.

"She was never asked to meet us for a polygraph," he said. "We don't have a polygraph examiner. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation does the polygraphs and we never set up any interview for her."
And here's the verification that she's a chronic liar. We can't believe anything that comes out of her mouth at all.

Tennessee officials are still frantically searching for 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell, who has been missing since December.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Saturday that more than 770 tips related to the search have come in since she was reported missing in February, two months after her disappearance, but nothing has panned out yet.

“At this time, there have been no confirmed sightings of Evelyn,” officials said.

Evelyn’s mother, Megan “Maggie” Boswell, was arrested last week and charged with lying to investigators after initially telling officials that Evelyn was with her father before changing her story to instead suggest the missing child’s grandmother, Angela Boswell, was the last to have her.

Angela Boswell was arrested on Feb. 21, along with 33-year-old William McCloud, and charged with theft over $2,500 after they were stopped in Wilkes County with a stolen BMW. Maggie Boswell previously told police that she had been buying the car for her mother, but never paid for it.

After her mother’s arrest, Maggie Boswell told WCYB that she is pregnant again, but medical records disproved that claim.

Angela Boswell was just 16 when she gave birth to Tommy Boswell Sr.’s first son – Tommy Jr. – in 1993. A background check shows Tommy racked up an assault charge in Sullivan County a few months after the boy’s birth, but the specific details on the arrest are no longer available. A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation report shows he was convicted of misdemeanor assault a year later in that case.

The couple, records show, eventually moved to Bulls Gap, Tennessee. In March 2001, Angela Boswell gave birth to the couple’s second child – Megan Boswell, Evelyn’s mother. Angela married Tommy Boswell Sr. a few months later.

By 2009, the couple was back in Sullivan County, settling the kids in a manufactured home atop a hill on a family-owned plot of land.

But there was little harmony inside those walls, court records show. In March of that year, Tommy Boswell Sr. told deputies his wife attacked him, stabbing his neck with an ink pen, and struggling with their then-14-year-old son, Tommy Jr., as he tried to rescue his dad.

Months later, records show, an angry Tommy Boswell Sr., showed up at the home of his wife’s father, David Lynn Jones. Jones would later tell authorities Tommy Boswell Sr. accused his son of theft and had been drinking when he sped away in his Chevy Camaro.

“Less than three minutes later, Jones stated the power went off at his house,” a warrant stated.

Angela Boswell was with Jones and claimed her husband called her minutes later to say he’d crashed the Camaro and ran away. She initially told authorities she was driving but – under prodding by Jones – later insisted she lied to protect her husband, court records show.

Tommy Boswell Sr. refused to return to the crash scene but eventually paid a fine for leaving the scene of an accident.

Less than two years after that incident, Tommy Boswell Sr. was angry again – this time because another man was inside his home with his wife, according to an affidavit of complaint.

Went and read the whole thing at the link. Wow is about all I can say..

It’s been almost two weeks since the disappearance of 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell was reported to authorities.

Since the AMBER Alert was pushed out, investigators with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office alongside TBI agents have followed up on more than 800 tips.
While the Sheriff’s office is not releasing new updates in the case every day, that doesn’t mean they aren’t doing their jobs.
Captain Andy Seabolt with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office told WJHL that a normal day for investigators is 8 hours, but since receiving this case, a majority of them are now working double shifts up to 16 hours a day.

“There’s been work done every day on this case since we became aware of it. Just because the public doesn’t see that does not mean that something isn’t being done,” Seabolt said.
Captain Seabolt said that the tip process is organized yet time-consuming.
“Those tips come in and they are all cataloged and they are actually sent our to investigators or TBI agents to follow up on,” Seabolt said.

An AMBER Alert issued on February 19th for Evelyn Boswell still hasn’t led to any confirmed sightings of the missing toddler.

“We are hopeful, we’re not giving up hope,” TBI spokesperson Leslie Earhart said on Thursday.

Earhart told News Channel 11 the TBI at least has more information than they did at the start of the investigation two weeks ago.

“However, I can say that so far, we aren’t any closer to determining where Evelyn is at this point,” she said.

When it comes to finding Evelyn, Captain Andy Seabolt of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office stated in an email to News Channel 11:
“We are closer than we were at the onset, but we still need more information. There is someone that knows about this case, and we urge them to come forward.”
Earhart said the TBI believes there’s at least one person who still has the information needed to find Evelyn.
“We believe there’s somebody out there that has not come forward yet,” she said. “And we would urge that person to do the right thing.”
