Norway ''JENNIFER FERGATE'' WF, 21-35 - Suicide at the Oslo Plaza Hotel - 3 June 1995 - Alias & bilingual

On May 31, 1995 a woman using the alias ''Jennifer Fergate'' checked into the Oslo Plaza Hotel along with a male companion who used the name ''Lois Fergate'' On the registration form she filled out she listed her residence as being Verlaine, Belgium, however she provided a fictitious post code, phone number and address.

On June 3, 1995 hotel staff found the woman deceased in her room by a self inflicted gun shot wound to the forehead. Very few clues exist to her true identity.

I can't understand how anyone, if not Unsolved Mysteries can obtain a photo of what indeed looks like "Jennifer", without having knowledge of knowing who she is. The photo itself would identify her.... You can't get a photo of someone without knowing their identify.

That photograph is not of Jennifer Fergate, it's Camilla Steinaa. A woman who disappeared from Denmark in 1987.

As noted above, the woman in the picture is Camilla Steinaa, a Danish woman who disappeared in 1987 from Zealand (not New Zealand!).

A user on Websleuths created a thread for Camilla and noticed how she resembled Jennifer Fergate, and everything just went off the rails from there with other forums like Reddit jumping on the wagon. Someway along the way, Camilla "became" Jennifer, kinda like that Telephone game you played as a kid.
It's quite annoying to witness journalists and otherwise credible sources not bothering doing any research on the matter, because a quick Google search will tell anyone that this photo is of Camilla, not a "newly discovered pic" of Jennifer Fergate
