JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Since when are Grand Jury witness lists published? Is it just in specific states perhaps?

All I can say is that Scott Reisch was really surprised at this too and that is the first place I heard it or saw it. He may not be Idaho but he is a Colorado defense attorney, a practicing one, so I would say the opinion on that legally would be more informed than we would know. Strange, no?

Scott Reisch says Melanie Gibb can file a motion to quash. He also says an attorney needs to reasonably know information exists to subpoena it. He believes it would be quashed as it is overly burdensome, could be looked at to harass, etc. He did say though Means could subpoena the providers, email, phone, etc. I am surprised and would think a witness could not have for instance her entire personal life accessed? It is addressed on the video below.

Yeah, catch me turning over all my passwords, lol. Talk about a PITA, irrespective of privacy issues. It's dang irritating to keep generating passwords and then re-generating them after data leaks as it is.

Late last night I now saw that a subpoena or some such relating to leaking or information shared from the jail about Lori Vallow to Keith Morrison of Dateline and all of her conversations, time in jail, etc. being shared/leaked was issued/filed. This was also done by PITA Mark Means.

As to Melanie and her passwords, etc., I honestly don't see that any judge wanting to be re-elected would enforce such a thing, she is not the defendant in the case. The right to privacy is one that Americans get pretty upset over and rightfully so. However, assuming anything is private these days outside of your own private thoughts, well, let's just say I wouldn't take that for granted these days.

I feel like this is flat witness intimidation. The ONLY reason they are going after Melanie is because she is speaking out and is a prosecution witness.

I agree, rather than a thug intimidating a witness or threatening their family secretly or outside court, this is blatant outright apparently a "legal" way of doing so. The fact though that the court has to deal with it constantly does delay things or divert attention which is probably the intent of Means as well, jmo.

Our courts really need to change things or the system does--it bends over far too backwards for defendants and things like this, and it makes a mockery of what should be a serious system. Imo.

Isn't it interesting that whether he is considered a joke of an attorney or not, the name of Mark Means is now well known. He was even on Court TV as a legal analyst or commenter or some such not long ago, and not in this case if I recall correctly, but them wanting his input on another case like he is some "expert". Smh.

I don't know what he is after nor why Lori keeps a supposed inexperienced atty nor why he sticks around when he is allegedly not being paid any longer... But we all sure know his name... Maybe that's his thing, fame from notoriety, not that unusual these days sadly...

He is now her court appointed attorney. She was declared indigent. He is most certainly being paid. So many rumors. :(

My above post wasn't personally directed, btw. I was reading other chats and sites and this obsession with things like Lori's hair is over the top straight up ridiculous. It doesn't matter. She's legally accused of killing 3 people, potentially 4. So let's discuss her hair.:rolleyes:

I almost never make fun of a person's appearance, it is not who I am and I think it is low and very childish. I can though understand the tearing apart of perps that way to a point. Lori's vanity comes across so front and center while she has these children she killed and for that matter, bleached Tylee's hair when a toddler. I think it is a way of aiming vitriol at a heinous murderer and I have done it myself.

HOWEVER, I so get what you mean, but I also get people just like to see perps finally behind bars and miserable, pale, seeing them finally arrested and in prison stripes, and having no access to makeup, take-out, drive thrus, etc. when they walked free sometimes for years to enjoy such things while the person they killed no longer existed. There is a perp that killed someone in my family and let me tell you most of us want to see him miserable, he took a very precious innocent life. Some who get into the "look" thing or Lori's hair may not be doing it for that reason, I have seen the type, they pick apart every attorney's appearance or every juror, etc., but I think for those who truly care about the crime and the victims, it is not an unusual thing to pick on their appearance and spew some nastiness that way. They hope they seem miserable or lacking indulgences like hair color, freedom, a phone, pizza delivery, etc. because they took a life and were able to walk around free for some time and enjoy such things, where the victim could not and never will be able to again.

I took nothing personally at all in your post, rest assured :)

With Means, to go back to to what matters for real in this case, which are the brutal murders, I still think there is some reason he has been there from the start and stays there and that Lori keeps him. Was he not the attorney that both Lori and Chad were with in the beginning? Or was that Prior. So much in this case, it is hard to keep it all fresh in one's mind. I think it was Means.

I'd have to go back and look. If I remember, the attorney they had together was a family lawyer. Then Lori was arrested in Hawaii and extradited. Was Means her attorney then? She also had Edwina? that left the case pretty quickly. Chad has always had Prior. But again, I'm trying to remember and I really should go to work sometime today lol.

I honestly don't know either. I forgot until you mentioned it that Lori had someone else in the one appearance, I remember the woman now that you mention it. I do know there was a time though it came up in court here in the states I think early on that they could not have the same attorney and I thought it was Means but it may have been Prior.

I guess it doesn't matter in the overall scheme of things but I still don't get Mark Means as a continued choice in what are now very serious charges.
