Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events
  • April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
  • December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
  • February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
  • February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
  • June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
  • July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
  • August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
  • September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
  • September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
  • September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
  • September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
  • October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
  • October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
  • October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
  • October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
  • Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
  • November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
  • November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
  • December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
  • December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
  • December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
  • January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
  • January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

Yeah I thought the first pic was notable, this one looks like she's about to go off happily free to some fantastic vacation. Or coming onto the stage on Wheel of Fortune or turning to the crwod in a pageant with huge hair flip and smile as she walks off.

I don't even have words. She is like some serial killers that love to hold "court". The world is her stage only with her it is as if she is Ms. America or something. Well I guess Mrs. She's been Mrs. lots of times. Still is.

Indescrible. To do the evil acts she has done and then act like this is yes, sociopathic. I'm not even sure that term feels like enough. She is that and several other things rolled in with it or something. She is just BEYOND.

It's like you'd never know she has been outed, she has been convicted, she is a lifer. All know her evil deeds but she's just like lalala life's a breeze and I'm the star. Smh.

Of course it could be so simple as she got a real box of hair bleach and she's tickled. Or maybe she got some... Or has some new guy under her spell... WTH is with this woman.
 
Hmm so appearing from that it will go off on time. Shall see I guess we will. Seven experts in what? Prior must have gotten majorly up on it all quickly after no time and needing help. Yet motions recently seem to be delay oriented.

Seven experts on whether he was led by Lori or she by him? Experts on how Tammy died? Experts n whether he is an evil POS?

It is one case that most all agree on that both he and Lori are guilty. Not a lot of argument in this one anywhere out there. Maybe some differences here and there on mental health or who was the one in control or more influencing the other but that's about it. I don't know of a soul who thinks either innocent.
 
Why would they need seven experts for that?

To explain how he was hoodwinked and lured by a psycho woman he was hot for and she forced him to kill his wife, go to a storage unit with her, forced him to Hawaii and far more?

They are all experts in how an aging bleached botoxed woman can beguile a toad of a man and pull all this over on him and frame him lol.

Just saying I look forward to his defense, I think Prior will go at it but I do think the prosecution will come back very well at any defense given. Granted Archibald and Lori gave no defense so easy for them BUT they were prepared well regardless and made their case well.

They will do it even without the MO special prosecutor. Unless of course something is corrupt and going on where Chad goes free.

If that happens then we know. You don't see corruption in this one? Just asking?
 
So I saw this the other night and was going to post for anyone who could watch live when it came on (i couldn't) but never got around to it. But STS who always has a good show and some pretty darned good guests and discussions had Rex and Adam on, now the show has been done and here is the vid. I haven't watched it yet myself.

Most of us have seen a few of Rex and Adam's and they don't have any earth shattering info for the most part imo but tidbits come about Lori and Alex and so on and I'd think the kind of show STS does, it's probably worth a watch and discussion and questions will come about. I may or may not get time to watch but here it is for anyone who wants to. They will likely push their book, wouldn't surprise me at least once in it.

 
I think we all know Linda and love her. Never heard otherwise at least. These days she isn't the first with a video or even always staying up but she has beeo on this case and many from early on.

She had a poll here and something like 66 or 67 percent in favor of DP in this case, and 11 percent against. She talks of others deserving of the DP.

She always and I love it can talk about Lori or Chad in court with sarcasm at their behavior but in a way that is right on and no one says "how dare you" and do some snark at both.

Calls a spade a spade imo, a POS a POS and an attention seeking Lori what she is and so on.

She makes fun of the two constantly. And they well deserve it.

Anyhow she also talks of DP eligible cases like Allen, Kohberger and more.

 


There are some things YTers often get that news doesn't. Like Gray Hughes also having all former friends of Stephan (in the Soto case) coming forward to talk.
 
For those that don't know there is a bit of a twist in this story as this show plays out. Very interesting.

And for the record, no book proceeds are they keeping.

I am pretty cynical but this guy is worth hearing and nothing puts up a red flag for me. He is no Becky Hill.

And hearing the twist is as well. I could spoil it for those who haven't seen him before but I won't.
 
Just finish watching this this early a.m. before work.

Something mentioned towards the end is I guess Annie Cushing is going to give the impact statementa s Tylee's legal rep when Chad Is convicted is how it was put.

Chad's trial is LITERALLY around the corner. Less than a month.

FREMONT COUNTY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Chad Daybell is due back in court Friday, March 8th at 11 a.m. for a remote hearing, this time behind closed doors before his trial starts in Boise on April 1st.

According to court documents, one motion is to challenge a state’s motion to quash a subpoena, as well as a motion to exclude Dr. Davidson as an expert witness.

The third motion is requesting to exclude a recording of Summer Shiflet, Lori Vallow Daybell’s sister, as well as Prosecutor Robert Wood as a witness during Lori’s trial.

Court documents state that the hearing will be a closed with records sealed and finds that public disclosure at this time could jeopardize Chad Daybell’s right to a fair trial.

Daybell is charged with three counts of first-degree murder, in the deaths of his wife Tammy Daybell, and J.J. Vallow and Tylee Ryan, the two children of his current wife. Plus, one count of conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of conspiracy and two counts of insurance fraud.

I am so interested to hear what his children say if they testify at his trial. I keep wondering about the state of Chad and Lori's marriage, and then I think . . . may be all they have is each other. Just my musings.
