And here goes Lori - right under the BUS!
Yeah he also said Lori pursued Chad from then on and I believe he said relentlessly.
I like how he is going to make a small nothing 4.5 acres lot sound like a big farm and the kids were buried way out in the pasture on the farm. 4.5 acres is NOTHING but a fair sized yard. I have 12 and it's not that big but I could actually raise farm animals on mine, they couldn't. Not more than one or two big ones anyhow., not easily Yet Prior says the pet cemetery was for the cats, dogs and all the "farm animals" lol. He wants it implied this is big area and I suspect he will try to say Alex came in and buried the kids from the other side of the property unknown to Chad or something dumb like that. This is all such b.s. his attempt to make it sound big and like a farm so much so that the jury should visit this small property that in no way is or ever was a "farm", not with that amount of acreage it wasn't. It IS their back yard, front yard or whatever which he makes sound otherwise.
I've never ever seen this "great beauty" Lori supposedly was. I guess with Botox, hair dye and all the other things used and trying to keep a style and way of dress that is suited to younger women, some might think that. I have never seen her that way. I guess to men the age of PRior and Chad they'd think so or fall for such, I mean look at them but I dont' see it. She mostly always looked like an anorexic blonde who can't pull off the style and hair she wore ata her age. Now Melanie P her little mini me, I hate saying it but is not unattractive but she had enough youth to carry such looks yet last I saw her, if she continues to do so at Lori's age, she'll be quite similar and she too will look like someone aging trying hard to look young and dress young. Look to Lori's mom to see what these two will look like at that age. Sorry but true.
Just catching up with his opening yet.
So Chad's kids are fully going to lie for him, these kids need to wake up. Their dad MARRIED Lori and while they blame Lori the prosecution needs to keep asking if Chad was played by Lori and framed or whatever, then why is it he has not divorced her? Huh? Hey kids she is technically still your stepmommy.
It's hard for one's mind to naturally work that way but I try to look for what isn't said as well. Prior basically never refers to them as married, it's always this relationship they entered into, keeping it less than as important as a quick marriage after their mother's untimely death. I haven't finished it yet but I caught part of the latter part at lunch today and think I've heard most if not all of his opening. Of course he mentions all the other murders that Chad wasn't part of, like Charles, and I don't necessarily believe that. I believe he wasn't present but I don't believe he wasn't in know of the fact they were both planning and needed their spouses killed. Of course he wasn't around when Joe was attacked but Joe was only tased and I['m not making light of it but we know of no other murders for a fact BEFORE Chad was involved. In fact it seems to me they only went as far as murder once Chad helped it be believed they were doing the right thing and exorcising dark people from their demons and Chad naming them.
And back to the murders he talks of, he talks as if it was determined Chad was not involved in Brandon's attempted murder or Charles' murder. I don't think that's true, I think it is simply that they don't have ENOUGH to charge him as well and a strong enough case.
So back to the Daybell "children" now all "adults".... So while others talk about Tammy's good health they are going to say she had all these "maladies" I think Prior called them. This clogging woman who was practicing for a marathon or something wasn't she? This woman who went to work every day while her hub played and came home and took care of her children. Who earned the real money that Chad spent. That had life insurance through work that Chad somehow got upped through HER JOB. I can't recall if we know if Tammy knew about this and they agreed or if he went in and claimed she was in agreement and signed it too or some such and someone at the school or company approved it...? Do we know?
So first Prior says you are going to hear from the children then quickly says four of the five, then quickly says three or four of them. This indicates something. It indicates perhaps all are not on board and won't lie. Or it indicates one or two just want no part of it (not that they'd have a choice if subpoenaed by the prosecution OR the defense but defense wouldn't make them if not going to be good for them) OR there are one or two they don't feel would do well on the stand and stand up to it. Now the one that Chad called when Tammy died is definitely likely one of them that could get caught in problems when crossed. BUT I'd fully expect the prosecution to call him... Anyhow something up here, not sure what that not all are on board or going to testify on Chad's behalf or that Tammy was sick, etc.
Prior is of course making Lori the only manipulative one and Chad the dufus. We know of MUCH Chad did to also manipulate Alex and all of them. After all why was he the supreme being to give Alex a blessing and who Alex looked to for that? Who named the light and dark and zombies and scaled them and even Lori asked himr repeatedly what number this person or that person was each day. There's so much evidence that he was not led by her or was as guilty as she at least.
I guess to be fair he is talking a good game. I mean Lori did have troubles with Joe AND Alex did go after him showing a history of these two doing such things like that prior. But when Chad came on board he helped them take it further and endorse Lori and even planned on who needed to die and I think he as much as anyone wanted her children gone. He never rated his dark. He did rate Tammy if I recall.
Anyhow just finished my work week although it is not the payroll week at work, it is my week or days in a row before my "weekend" of Thurs/Fri off. And haven't caught up of course but did hear most and now all playing while typing this of Prior's opening. I heard prosecution's before I left for work today. And this is simply the post I jumped off on for my thoughts on it.
You know most and myself included at times out there think Lori will be highly upset when Prior and Chad blame her and dismiss her as imoortant to Chad etc. I'm not so sure of that. She laid down for him at her trial and never used him AND even refused to blame Alex (bigger surprise) and seems almost like if she was prosecuted, the way was wide open for Chad to use both and say whatever he needs to save himself about her and Alex... How is it they could have communicated this to each other or planned such as I wonder if that's not the case... Or maybe I'm wrong and it will truly send her over the edge when it will be said she manipulated Chad, he never really loved her and what not Prior will likely say and show or try to through this trial. To no avail imo as there's plenty of evidence against Chad.
His kids have always needed a serious wake up call but they REALLY need one now. I can't see how kids so clueless or controlled are going to make good witnesses even if coached and prepared. Don't they realize their father is still running their lives? A jailed murdering father who cheated on their mother and murdered her to marry Lori and basically left them. A father who has nothing to offer them, not money or time or wisdom.
I don't buy it but if Tammy did believe she had any "maladies" I'm going to guess like all his other ways of control by her grandma and talk of MANIPULATION (WORD FOR LORI PRIOR USED WHILE CHAD ISN'T LIKE THAT TOO?) had Tammy convinced she had maladies. Maybe he even "gave" her some... I don't buy she had any though.
She had also just seen her sister and her mother and they had a great time and Tammy was well.
Such b.s. BUT OF COURSE what choice do they have, the defense? Her children do though. Shame on them. Jurors may not want to see Tammy's adult kids torn apart but I would say prosecution needs to go fairly hard at them. Not tear them apart but do some medium to hard ball questions that aren't going to be so easy for them to answer. And I think that will show what they are doing, who they are and that they are manipulated by the defendant in this case, their dad, Chad Dumbbell.
Prior has pretty much laid out who they are calling, where they are going and what they are going to say for prosecution to prepare.
So that's my take. I haven't heard Nate tonight and havent' watched any all day testimony or though I caught some minutes of the officer that did the welfare check and was called in about the jeep I think but not many or in order and how Chad and Alex reacted when asked where JJ was. And then Alex saying with grandma and Prior objected like four different times when the officer tried to say he told them that was unlikely as grandma called in for the welfare check and their reaction to THAT. Prior lost his final try at objecting. Lol. So just some minutes of that. Nothing more. I'd hoped to watch it all maybe tonight and tomorrow (the whole day but probably not going to happen), I'd do better trying to watch what is live tomorrow and stay on top of that.
What I did see today was all on Linda. She covered it all, all day and was present as well on her show I believe throughout. Haven't seen her do that in a long time. And on breaks talked of what had been said and just happened and Prior's opening, and more.
Anyhow, going to read the posts here and then will likely have to pull a Nate summary of the day to get the main points of all day today.
