According to documents filed Monday in Cass County Circuit Court, Oklahoma-based DNA Solutions must be allowed to access skeletal remains for both Kara Kopetsky and Jessica Runions, whose remains were found in rural Cass County in 2017.

Documents also say DNA Solutions must be allowed to test hair recovered from a white SUV in 2013.

All testing must be done at the DNA Solutions lab in Oklahoma, according to the documents. The evidence must be returned to the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office and Belton Police Department by April 30.

Kylr Yust attorneys granted motion to retest some evidence

Attorneys for Kylr Yust were granted a motion to retest some physical evidence ahead of his double murder trial in Cass County, set to begin in July.

Jury selection for the trial is set to begin on July 22. Jurors will be brought in from St. Charles County, which is just outside of St. Louis. Once the jury is set, the trial will begin the following Monday.

It's not us my friend. It's the courts. They need major changes. The public gets it. They don't seem to.

I know but when did it change. I remember truth in sentencing, at least in my state, meaning the sentence meant the sentence. 15 years meant 15 years. Life meant life. It isn't that way any longer.
 
AHHHHHH!!!! I can just hear it in my head. "That's not fair". How can the judge allow that garbage. STFU and SIT THE F DOWN! Their precious rights. I just want to scream.

It goes along with that just help them, don't charge them, get them help or let them out and and show them love and they won't do it again. Right up there with the thought of having no police. A real brainiac masterminded these movements that are far from unheard of.
 
I'd like to come up with new rights. You have the right to shut up. You have the right to solitary every day. You have the right to get done to you did to your victim. You have the right to bread and water once daily. You have the right to be gagged. That's just a rough draft so far.

Well maybe reporters should be covering such things and watching such things in the legislature, etc. or however it is done, instead of being made aware of it. Jmo. Just like a local paper covers their courthouse news and there is usually a beat reporter for just that.

i cant really remember it being any different here. The first criminal case i remember (5-ishhh?) the person got out early. Don't remember the details, but heard all about it and the disappointment they felt.

There's been cases here I am so shocked they let them out early.
