LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Hmm. Any news on this case is good news. I have thought throughout that there was an online component to this case and I'm far from the only one. The Snapchat thing, etc. seemed too ignored and some other hints of online things, a phone reset by Libby for one. The age of these girls... The fact Abby's mom didn't know she was on FB, just several little things... Entering high school, an interest in boys.

It isn't being said the person behind this account is for sure the perp but it's the first anything has really been offered. I don't want to criticize but if they have had this info for long sharing it before now may have been more effective? Hard to say though. It's possible they did not want an effect on the life of the person was image was used and perhaps that and keeping the investigation under wraps was the reasoning.

Does anyone think the younger sketch looks like this man's photos? I am not saying they were looking for him but maybe used a likeness to see if it brought anyone forward who recognized the face from the fake account to then determine who was really behind it?

I do hope this leads to the break in this case.

This is why I was asking at the beginning if walking this trail was something they did often or if this was something that just came up...as in meeting somebody there.

Yes, I have long had the same kind of thoughts. I was on at that other place (JT) with this case quite often.

It's just their age for one thing, the fact they had been wanting to go there, the fact they were together and young teen girls are interested in what...? They were up late or all night the night before... Just discovering boys, etc. imo. Doesn't matter if it was our generation or nowadays the online generation but nowadays predators are right there online pretending to be a teen boy, young man, etc....

Even aside from meeting someone (which is where I lean too), they posted their whereabouts on Snapchat right...?

DELPHI MURDERS UPDATE: Man Behind Fake Internet Profile Already in Jail on Child Porn Charges

The man apparently behind a fake online profile used around the time of the two young teen girls were kidnapped and murdered in a small Indiana town is already behind bars, charged with 30 felonies, including child exploitation and possession of child pornography.

WISH said that one of its reporters received a probable cause affidavit Tuesday morning that links Kegan Anthony Kline, 27, to the “anthony_shots” profile name.

According to online court records, Kline is charged with seven counts of child exploitation, 17 counts of child pornography, one count of soliciting a child for sex, three counts of obstruction of justice, and two counts of synthetic identity deception.

Heavily redacted court documents say that state police and the FBI encountered Kline in 2017 while conducting a search warrant in Peru. That when they discovered the “anthony_shots” profile, soliciting minor girls online. A subpoena for an IP address led to another address in Peru, and a second search warrant found Kline and his father there.

Investigators seized several devices, but Kline contacted them a few days later about a device they hadn’t seized. When investigators got that device, they found that many files had been deleted and social media apps uninstalled. The investigation continued, and Kline was arrested in 2020. He is due in court for a pretrial conference on December 16.

WISH contacted Indiana State Police and asked if there was a connection between Kline and the murders of Liberty “Libby” German, 14, and Abigail “Abby” Williams, 13, who disappeared in the town of Delphi while out for a walk on February 13, 2017, and were found dead the next day, about two weeks before investigators first interviewed Kline.

“We do not confirm or deny anyone who is or is not a suspect in any ongoing investigation,” ISP said in a statement. “At this time, we are looking for any information about the ‘anthony_shots’ profile and anyone who may have had contact with that profile.”

wow! that side by side!

I dont think the person that found it is questionable. I just wonder if they (LE) knew about this way back then.
No, that's not what I meant. Sorry if it wasn't clear, I meant the person with the fake profile is questionable and someone found that so it was then looked into further. I don't mean the finder of the account or tipster is questionable.

I agree, I think LE had to have at least a clue back when that this may have been an online thing of some type or meeting. That is, IF this pans out to be the perp behind the account.

It still imo could very well be someone local or from a nearby town. I imagine they have or are working on location and IP address....

Ears and eyes wow mostly to me....

Also interesting is not commenting on whether he or anyone is or is not a suspect. Because when people have become excited about someone else over the years when arrested anywhere in the area for any child crime, etc., the police in this case are quick to say the person is not a suspect or almost say that and/or that they have excluded on some basis... They are NOT saying that here.... Maybe there is some real hope here with this one of solving this....

Father and son found there... Not saying the father is involved (or even that the son for sure is) but I am thinking back to a lot of speculation about fathers and sons and two involved and then the two sketches, etc... Even when investigations are kept very quiet, sometimes there is a basis for some of the rumors or speculation...

I don't know, maybe I am seeing things because I want to but this seems like it all sure could fit some things...

The list of charges actually put a bit of a damper on my hope just in the sense that there really don't seem to be any where he physically assaulted another person or child... (which is a good thing but doesn't indicate he is capable of this)... I mean I think exploitation is the child porn materials being shared, I don't see any molestation nor physical harm to others... I guess he still could have done it and his interest in the case is suspicious with his history but I'm not quite as excited with hope as I was before... It's a big jump from possessing or distribution of child porn or sharing it with others to murdering two teens is all... And they've really never confirmed the girls were sexually assaulted either...
