The United States Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Pacific Field Office at Schofield Barracks is seeking public assistance in locating Mischa Mabeline Kaalohilani Johnson.

A reward of $10,000 is being offered for credible information leading to her recovery.

Mischa Mabeline Kaalohilani Johnson has not been seen since July 31, and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has offered an incentive to help find her.

Johnson, a 5-foot-2-inch, 170-pound woman who is six months pregnant, was reported missing August 1, a day after she was last seen at her Schofield Barracks home in O’ahu, Hawaii.

There is now a $10,000 reward available for any credible information that can assist the CID in her recovery.

Officials say Johnson is the wife of a Schofield Barracks soldier. She has a prominent dragon tattoo on her back.

“She’s a member of the military family, so we want to make sure that she’s OK,” Army CID Special Agent in Charge Ruben Santiago told local NewsNation affiliate KHON.

“Right now, we just have a concerned family, a concerned husband, a concerned community that is wondering where Mischa Johnson is.”

Family and friends undeterred in search for Mischa Johnson​

It’s been nearly 2 months since Mischa Johnson was last seen, but that hasn’t deterred family and friends from continuing to search for any signs of her.

A quick prayer was said before heading out for the safety of the search party and hopes of finding any signs of the 19-year-old Mischa Johnson.

“We’re just gonna see if we find anything because there’s no evidence recovered as far as a body or anything like that,” said Mika Paresa, search party organizer. “But the fact that his car was allegedly seen in this area, that’s why we’re focusing here.”

Family and friends believe Misha Johnson’s husband, 23-year-old Dewayne Johnson’s red Mustang was seen in the Wahiawa area after Mischa was last seen in July.

The area is the undeveloped land right before the Dole Plantation if you’re headed to the North Shore. Search parties are dealing with uneven paths, thick brush and tall grass.

“You have to go in to, to actually see,” said Paresa. “It’s not visible by just looking in.”

The group of about 30 people searched the area for hours. There have been several other searches before, both here and on Schofield, but this one was the first to combine both locals and military wives.

“The support we’ve been getting for the searches have been amazing because it felt like it was local searching, and then military wives, but now it’s like a cohesive effort to do the search and have justice for Mischa,” said Paresa.

“How can you not feel touched to come and search,” said Jasmine Kawai-Aweau. “For us, it’s just like you know when one person needs help, we all gotta come together and help.”

Army CID said it did not want to interfere with the search, since it was organized by the public. Special agents said Dewayne Johnson remains in custody and the case is still under investigation.

Family, friends and the community just wrapped up a meeting in Kapolei to improve their search for the body of Mischa Johnson.

The pregnant military wife's family said she was murdered, but her remains have yet to be found.

Dozens of people met at the Hale Moena Community room to collaborate on search maps, talk story, eat and share information about areas searched, and where search parties should revisit.

“This is Mischa’s favorite day, Friday the 13th, so that’s why it's significant,” shared Mischa’s mom, Frances Tapiz-Andrian. “It's good to come together as one and figure out what do we do next.”


Dewayne Johnson II remains in military custody and is charged in connection with Mischa's disappearance. Right now, the counts do not include murder.

As for what’s next is still up in the air. The goal of this meeting is to gain some clarity as to where search parties should focus on next.

One thing many people here agree on is that they’ll continue searching as long as it takes to find Mischa and bring her home.

In a major development, more charges have been filed Wednesday against the husband of a missing pregnant woman, including murder, the U.S. Army said.

Pfc. Dewayne Arthur Johnson II was charged with the murder of Mischa Johnson, intentionally killing her unborn child, obstruction of justice, and possession of child pornography.

“It was a relief,” said Marianna Tapiz, Johnson’s sister. “It was like, okay, now I can... plan for closure. So it was definitely like a stepping stone.


Her body has still not been found.

Pfc. DeWayne Johnson II is now facing charges for the murder of Mischa Johnson and the intentional killing of their unborn child, Armani. They are charges her family expected, but that doesn't come close to giving them closure.

"The punishment I live every day with the punishment of not having my daughter and my granddaughter around," said Mischa's mother Frances Tapiz-Andrian.

The military earlier charged DeWayne for obstruction of justice and the possession of child pornography.

"I don't know what to say about my son-in-law because that is not for me to decide," she said. "All I ask is that my son in law give or say where her remains are."


The family is holding a vigil for Mischa on Dec. 29.
