You normally wouldn’t expect this level of accessibility from a government bureaucracy, but the demand to see Alec Baldwin’s public court documents in the “Rust” case have been so high that authorities are just putting it all online. And they’re sending out press releases touting the portal.

New Mexico district attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies, who formally charged Baldwin and Hannah Gutierrez-Reed with two counts of involuntary manslaughter each on Tuesday, has now launched an online portal via the state’s courts. She’s now asking media and the public to access anything and everything pertaining to the “Rust” case there.

If you visit nmcourts.gov, there’s a tab along the left rail that says “High Profile Cases.” Beneath it are all the criminal court documents for the cases against Baldwin, Gutierrez-Reed and “Rust” assistant director David Halls, who had already agreed to a plea deal (and was subsequently charged with negligent use of a deadly weapon). It’s an easy-access, one-stop shop for all your information on one of the most troubling stories to rock Hollywood in years!

Yeah. That's the part that's difficult. Does he really think he didn't?. Because by saying that, That can be proven a big lie. Why would he do such a stupid thing?. He's very intelligent. I'm not saying he should get away with any wrongdoing if he did. But him getting himself into a situation by his own words, Making it worse for himself. That's not normal for anyone. His big attorneys. And everyone's need to save their own azz. IMO. I place the blame mostly on the department in charge. All of the negligence before giving him the weapon. Personally, I would have put trust in the people who's job it is, When handed that gun.

Yeah, I'm not blaming him for what others made the decision to do, but why lie about that? Now explain why there was anything loaded in that gun if you were not supposed to pull the trigger. That I blame him for. If he was practicing such safe gun safety rules as he claims he was doing, why did he allow it to be loaded in the first place? If I was not to pull the trigger, I would be requesting it to not be loaded, especially in a rehearsal where unexpected things could go wrong...the very reason why it's called rehearsal.

That's what's confusing. For him to lie about it. When it could be proven otherwise. Not...I swear I don't remember pulling the trigger. Not what most celebrities do, And cover their azz immediately with a lawyer. It's about wording in this that would have made a big difference. Those words he can't change. There is no leeway. The often heard "I don't remember" Is always debatable in every case. Where it is obvious they do. But then it has to be proven they do. Or guilty by other means. "Clinton's" "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" Was a lie. He didn't engage in intercourse. So if he would have said "I did not have sex with that woman". It would have been true. Wording. Not political. Just the best example I can think of.

I've always stated that his version doesn't mix with the need or desire to even want anything being loaded in it. The two things do not make sense to me at all. It would only be loaded for the need to pull the trigger. If I can see that, surely the prosecutor can and should tear him apart on that, by itself.

Alec Baldwin will not be called to testify against “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed, according to a witness list filed Dec. 14.

Gutierrez Reed is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering after a gun she handled on the set of “Rust” fired, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on Oct. 21, 2021.

Baldwin had been holding the gun at the time of the accidental discharge.

Baldwin being left off the state’s witness list in the upcoming trial of Gutierrez Reed shows an “official decision” has not been made about whether to bring new charges against the actor, legal experts told Fox News Digital

The state filed the 13th amended witness list on Dec. 14. Baldwin has notably been left off all 13 lists, while others such as assistant director Dave Halls, director Joel Souza and other crew members will take the stand once Gutierrez Reed’s trial begins on Feb. 21, according to the document obtained by Fox News Digital.

A grand jury has indicted Alec Baldwin on an involuntary manslaughter charge in the deadly shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the New Mexico set of "Rust," months after prosecutors dropped their case against the actor over her death.

The indictment charges Baldwin, 65, with involuntary manslaughter (negligent use of a firearm) or, in the alternative, involuntary manslaughter (without due caution or circumspection), both fourth-degree felonies.

In response to Friday's indictment, Baldwin's attorneys, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro of Quinn Emanuel, said, "We look forward to our day in court."

Ooooohhhh....It's the Grand Jury now. YIKES!!

This is stupid. You can't charge an actor for firing a gun after two people have certified it's a cold gun.

I heard on the radio that he had said he didn’t pull the trigger or something to that effect and they did some kind of a forensic testing or some thing that showed that that’s impossible so maybe the fact that he lied bothered them? I don’t know? We’ll find out.

Less than a week after being hit with involuntary manslaughter charges again over the fatal Rust on-set shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in late 2021, Alec Baldwin’s first New Mexico court date has been set for next month.

Looking at 18 months to possibly three years behind bars based on state law, Baldwin has been “ordered to appear before Judge T. Glenn Ellington, on-February 1, 2024, at 11 a.m.” local time (read the court summons to Alec Baldwin here).

Baldwin and his lawyers seem to be in lockstep with the summons, if a filing Wednesday is any indication.

“Mr. Baldwin asserts his right to a speedy trial as guaranteed by the Sixth Amendment of the United States Constitution, Article 2, Section 14 of the New Mexico Constitution,” said Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro from the NYC office of Quinn Emanuel and Albuquerque lawyer Heather LeBlanc. “Mr. Baldwin is entitled to a fair and speedy disposition of the charges to minimize public vilification and suspicion and to avoid the hazards of proving his innocence that often arise after lengthy delays in prosecution.“

Read Alec Baldwin’s lawyers’ response to his court summons filing here.

“Mr. Baldwin reserves the right to call any and all witnesses disclosed by the prosecution on a witness list for trial or hearing in this matter,” the attorneys concluded, putting down a marker for special prosecutors Kerri Morrisey and Jason Lewis.

It disgusts me that they finished the film. I would've shut down production.

Feb 14 (Reuters) - A New Mexico judge on Wednesday will consider a request from "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez to block from trial prosecutors' allegations her supposed drug use contributed to Alec Baldwin's 2021 fatal on-set shooting of the film's cinematographer.

New Mexico state prosecutors allege "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez used marijuana, cocaine and alcohol on evenings after filming and this impaired her judgment the day of the shooting, leading her to mistakenly load a live round into Baldwin's gun.

Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter. His trial date has not yet been set.

Should the jury in Gutierrez's trial, set to start Feb. 21 in Santa Fe, see a link between alleged drug use and cinematographer Halyna Hutchins' death, Gutierrez could be seen to have acted with reckless disregard for safety and found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, punishable by up to 18 months imprisonment, legal experts said.

Prosecutors have said they do not have drug tests or evidence beyond witness statements to back up the drug allegations.

"The government's entire argument is based on speculation and conjecture," Gutierrez's lawyer Jason Bowles said in a court filing, requesting a charge of "evidence tampering," relating to the armorer's alleged cocaine posession, be excluded from the manslaughter trial.

Agreed!!!!

Years ago they were making a movie about Greg Allman's life. One scene called for the actor playing Greg Allman to be lying in bed on the tracks of a railroad bridge. The director had looked at the train schedule and saw a two hour window to use.

Unfortunately, a train came off schedule and everyone scrambled to get off the bridge. One woman went back for the cot the actor had been lying on and was hit and killed by the train. The production was shut down and Greg Allman said he'd never continue helping the movie.

Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 27, testified on Thursday that actor Alec Baldwin failed to take firearm training sessions seriously before production began for the upcoming Western movie Rust.

Gutierrez-Reed claimed that Baldwin spent a lot of his time during the training sessions texting on his phone, having his assistant shoot videos of him with a firearm for Instagram, and FaceTiming his wife and children, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"I walked in, and I said, 'All right, Alec. I’m going to be your armorer. We’re going to go over how to shoot all your weapons, how to load them, how to make them safe, and we’re going to make sure that you really know — that you look like you know what you’re doing,'" she testified to OHSB.

After the session, Gutierrez-Reed testified that she had requested more training time with Baldwin because "his role is so gun-heavy, and I wanted to make sure he was familiar with his weapon."

"I told them that he needed more time to practice his cross draw because I didn’t want him to have complications with it on filming day," said the armorer and props assistant, who reportedly failed to get more training time with Baldwin before filming began.

Gutierrez-Reed, who is the most likely to go to jail among all of the defendants, said that she was berated by Rust line producer Gabrielle Pickle in an email on Oct. 14, 2021. Pickle complained that she was focusing too much of her time on Armor and "not supporting props as needed."

The armorer explained to Pickle that the armorer job was "a very serious job and since we’ve started I’ve had a lot of days where my job should only be to focus on the guns and everyone’s safety. There are working guns on set every day, and those are ultimately going to be a priority because when they are not, that’s when dangerous mistakes can happen."

According to the OHSB report, Gutierrez-Reed sent a text message to Pickle on Oct. 17 that said, "Hey, we’re on day 8 of Armor days. So if there’s gunfire after this you may want to talk to the producers."

There were two accidental discharges the day before the shooting. The armorer testified that she was overwhelmed by having to perform two jobs, and requested more days where should could solely focus on Armor.

"If I give a safety recommendation, usually I could get … I could get rolled over in some aspects," she testified to the OHSB. "If I thought I needed more time or something to prepare for a scene, I could be told to hurry up. I could be told, 'No, we need to do it now.'"

On the day of the deadly shooting, in which Alec Baldwin pointed a gun at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and fired two rounds killing her, prosectors argue that Gutierrez-Reed was responsible for the live ammunition in the gun's chamber.

Citing images from the filming and pictures from other sources, including Gutierrez-Reed's phone, that indicate live rounds present on the set on at least four other days, prosecutors argue that Gutierrez-Reed was the source of the live ammunition.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Prosecutors in New Mexico want more accountability for the 2021 death of a cinematographer who was fatally shot by actor Alec Baldwin during a rehearsal for the Western film “Rust.”

Before Baldwin’s case progresses, the armorer on the set will be tried on charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence. Jury selection in Hannah Gutierrez-Reed’s trial starts Wednesday in Santa Fe.

Baldwin can afford a GREAT lawyer. If he really took the training lightly or not at all he'll get a slap on the wrist.
Just because he’s a movie star doesn’t mean he didn’t need the training. People who have that entitlement feeling carry it with them all throughout. Before I got my concealed carry, I took two safety trainings about how to handle a firearm. I took it very seriously and still do to this day. my firearm happens to be locked up right now because it’s not needed at the moment.

Opening statements could begin as early as Thursday in the high-profile involuntary manslaughter trial of “Rust” film armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who prosecutors say repeatedly violated safety standards and protocol on the western movie’s New Mexico set, leading to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins after she was struck by a live round of ammunition fired from a prop gun held by actor Alec Baldwin.

Twelve jurors – seven men and five women – will now decide whether 26-year-old Gutierrez Reed, who was also the film’s key props assistant, is responsible for the killing. She will be the first person to stand trial in what has been a yearslong, complicated case that has highlighted the movie industry’s safety standards – and this specific set’s violations of them.

Gutierrez Reed has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter “in the alternative” for the October 2021 shooting, meaning jurors will not only have to decide whether she is guilty, but also under which legal definition of the state’s two types of involuntary manslaughter.

Prosecutors have also charged her with tampering with evidence, alleging she transferred a “small bag of cocaine” to someone else after returning from a police interview on the day of the shooting.
