I have read he drove in from Mexico and that he rented the truck from a car sharing app.

Terror suspect's truck drove through Eagle Pass, Texas, two days before attack

The vehicle used by the alleged New Orleans terrorist to plow into a crowd of people celebrating the New Year on Bourbon Street reportedly came through Eagle Pass, Texas, two days ago, federal agents said, per FOX News.

The suspect's identity and citizenship status remain unknown. Authorities have confirmed that ten individuals lost their lives when a car intentionally drove into New Year's Eve crowds on New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street at approximately 3:15 a.m.

According to witnesses, the truck rammed into a crowd of people at high speed, and the driver got out and began firing a weapon, causing police to return fire. Witnesses claim the suspect was wearing full body armor and armed with an assault rifle, while officials stated he was "trying to run over as many people as he possibly could."

This is probably going to need its own thread.
10 victims already with dozens injured.

He was apparently using a short term rental in St. Roch, which is currently being searched for IED's.

Oops maybe they're too late.

The Bourbon St perp was a Georgia State University graduate and ex US Army apparently.

Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, attended Georgia State Universityfrom 2015 to 2017 and graduated with a B.B.A. in computer information systems, the university said. The FBI confirmed that Din Jabbar is a U.S. citizen from Texas and is an Army veteran.

  • The FBI said it does not believe Jabbar was "solely responsible" for the attack and asked the public for assistance. It said it is investigating Jabbar's "potential associations and affiliations" with terroristic organizations.
  • A potential improvised explosive device was in the truck, and other potential IEDs were discovered in the French Quarter, the FBI said.

It is December and after an election year just in November.

All I'm saying--and we have weird case after weird case and news actually on it.

Some of us have been alive long enough to have seen such crazy before.

And the murderers are NOT heroes either.

This one is a bit different though. Ex US MIL and supports ISIS.

This article has his back story. The number who have died is now up to 15.

True, but every single one hot button issues imo.

Scott's show is pretty good, linked it in the UHC case. He's always a bit dry but if you really want to understand the laws better, he said quite a bit about such.

It' starts out with the UHC case, then quite a bit on Kohberger if you follow that one. That's as far as I've gotten. That too covered a fair amount of law.

Yeah, I think we are going to find out more on the UHC case too.

It's understandable that people jump and make conclusions nowadays, but I think more will come.

Apparently 4 others were involved in placing IEDs around the French quarter. They are still at large.

I hope they find these people quick.
This and the Vegas Cybertruck thing are just crazy. They are saying the guy who rented the cybertruck was a soldier, an active duty US Army sergeant. I saw that on CNN

That Lightning truck used in NOLA was no mistake. It weighs something like 3 tons and accelerates in the blink of an eye. In the wrong hands, it's a killing machine.
