This is not new but it is one I never was aware of and it was a very good watch. And happened in my own State.
It was also good to test the instincts but am not going to ruin it for anyone else. I'm finding little on lately and little to read here, etc. Not like I have a lot of time but when I do, not finding much. Tom has a show, his "final" Delphi one but it is over three hours so haven't started that one yet. Hit a few other things first.
I had my instincts about the brothers after a bit in, won't say if they were right or wrong, and then something was found where both worked. It's fairly good at suspense in leading one to not knowing for sure until towards the final part or at least in the middle or later before you can be sure of one thing versus another.
Psheesh she was a hard working, studious 18 year old and I guarantee Wausau wasn't used to this, probably still aren't. It's not the smallest city but it's not huge either. Our cities can be 8,000, even smaller.
It's not Milwaukee, or Madison. It's about 40K.
Central part. Not nearer the bigger cities all in the south or near the northern part all smaller for the most part.
It also shows how ICE is necessary and is used. Not everyone talked to was detained but one was to hold him when his story wasn't adding up.
But that's the least part of this and this girl was well loved. And well the offender and why, well, people can see how they see it and what their instinct is throughout it.
Maybe some knew of the case back when or saw it, I know it was unfamiliar to me.
A lot of good people in it, certainly not all bad, meaning some are looked at and vetted, not positive if they are legal or not but only one was ICE used to detain. Perhaps the others are legal, hard to say.
BUT it's not a story about that. She was 18 and about to graduate, it was May, worked hard, was smart, etc. and living with her Hispanic bf and his brother. By all accounts his brother adored her as did he....
It was harder to be sure of the brother who was her bf as his interviews were not shown. The brother not dating her, several interviews were shown. Then it goes from there. Was it one of them or someone else...
I've said too many times I'm not a big L & C fan but most of what I see are current things and this was well done imo. I'm sure there's a LOT not shown but for a bit of suspense and making something about a case they eventually get a lot on when it's over, it was pretty darned good.
It's done of course as a whodunit and purposely leaving one wondering til later in the show and is not a current case. For more of a TV like thing, intentionally making it that way, it was very good.
So if anyone else is running into little out there lately, or just has some time and wants something different and if a case they never heard of, it's a good watch.
And if anyone does, I'd be interested on their take and how they leaned in the beginning, as it went on, and how it ended up, etc...
