ONGOING CRIME BREAKING NEWS!

Starting in January 2020, this thread is about the news as it breaks!

Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

IMO- stay in jail

No. I wish. LOL. Just I think letting out some humor and steam. Deposition day was a build up to it and it has taken a few days after to process and let all of it out and a bit of relief started kicking in over time... If stress kills, I'm not sure how it is I'm still here after these past years... It has done its damage though.

I did have two beers the other day though when we went to lunch. Unheard of. I "made" my mom drive after that until we'd shopped for a few hours and then I drove us back to Wisconsin. I'm a responsible and mature adult LOL.

Yeah, late at night or in the wee hours when I get tired, if I have any humor in me... And then I'd just watched a video on a crime and in the comments under it people were talking about full moons and one cop said he absolutely can verify the full moon brings out the crazies and the crimes and then someone else that worked for a doctor said the same. Soooo I had full moon on the mind. That led me to Harvest Moon by Neil Young, etc. so yup, you got a MOON post because I saw the word MORON and if you take out the R you have MOON. LOL. My brain fires in odd ping pong directions at times... :D And you can't talk!! I don't always track your thoughts well LOL.
Try to keep up.

Cuz missed this post.

Cracking Up Lol GIF

Meth made her do that huh?. I'm guessing she had mental issues already. Good Lord. WTH?!
Quite something isn't it? I can't recall which article I posted as to all the details or not but this psycho also did sexual things after and the remark about good luck finding his organs and his mom finding his head and the perp saying I can't believe I forgot the head and I got lazy she says... WHAT?? The cops that had to find everything I think will need a vacation and some counseling after that. 24 years old!! I don't need the details but it is a WOW so... And a crock pot box.

This is something. I'd like to see a thread not sure what to call it about "Dishonor" in the Justice System or some such... How about "Right the Wrongs" . I don't know. I think sentencing or early release would be a subject for another. Just thoughts. That other newer thread is close to the same idea on this one, forget what it is called...This is about a Maricopa County judge and the woman "blowing the whistle" was a clerk in the Jodi Arias case... It's interesting... And Outrageous. It does go on and is more common than one thinks imo.

Even though busy, trying to do some links, cases, news... I know there are some new ones but offhand on a quick search here, didn't see this one. Recent.

So the other night late I saw something about the person in a scooter or wheelchair or something with a leg. I think it was talking about the 80 something year old above in here of how could they manage it, etc... If it was on that case, the one with the leg, the 80 something had been let out of prison on like a lifetime parole of I think a PRIOR murder not long before...

So... Sentencing and release. We see it all of the time. We see a pedophile or a murderer or someone with how many felonies RELEASED...

And someone else dies. Or is injured.... And we all go well how the he77 could this man or woman be out of prison....?

Best legal system in the world, etc... Well yes, no one is stoned... Perfect? Far from it.

You have got to be f'in kidding. Memes that they are sending right there. A murderer I don't really care. Print them out. Make a collage. Really?! Then put them into a book. WOW! WTF?!!! Wouldn't respond for an interview. Because you are so caught that you can't defend yourself? Maybe?. Busted says you're busted. Your dishonor. Off the bench forever.
