TN ADRIANNA & JENNIFER WIX: Missing from Cross Plains, TN - 25 March 2004 - Age 2 & 21

Adrianna and her mother, Jennifer Wix, were seen together between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. on March 25, 2004. Jennifer's live-in boyfriend, William Benton, initially stated Jennifer and Adrianna left home with an unknown individual.

He later altered his story and said he and Jennifer had an argument and he dropped her and Adrianna off at an Exxon gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee. After five to ten minutes, Adrianna and Jennifer got into a white four-door early 1990's model mid-size car, at a gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee.

Benton stated Jennifer went to their home, without Adrianna, the next afternoon. She was driving the car she'd gotten into the previous day. She asked for her income tax return but her boyfriend's parents were not at home to give her the money so she left and said she would come back for it. She never did.

Jennifer and Adrianna have never been heard from again. Neither of them had any personal items, money, or extra clothes when they disappeared.

Jennifer and Adrianna may still be in the Cross Plains area, or they may have traveled to Florida. They are believed to be in danger, as it is uncharacteristic of Jennifer to be out of touch with her family.

Good for her. When you are told to stifle it is almost impossible and you can only do it for so long without grief and emotion and lack of justice needing to leak or burst out. I can't even imagine here but at this point why the heck not? Let it go and what happens, happens. What are you risking truly? It is like waiting to try cases for 20, 30, 40 years if not enough or no bodies. At some point, why not and what has that done to the family.

Whether justice ever comes in a court, you certainly CAN shae what you know or feel to be true as what is the risk since there hasn't been any anyhow? While the likely perp just goes along with no repercussions. And you've had to watch that forever and ever.

I wouldn't have lasted that long. You stay silent in the hope of justice and not affecting justice or an investigation and it IS highly suggested by LE managing the case. We about erupted or did a little over three years more than once and there were many of us to manage. You know where the prosecution says nothing in cases while defense or defendant goes on their merry way, no arrest and lives life and tells all he is innocent and people buy it because after all no arrest right...

How she lasted this long I don't know. I say tear it up and go for it. You have had to live this for 20 years as you say with NO JUSTICE so what are you affecting?! That hasn't worked or paid off.

And defamation? You've got it. Prove then what is being said is wrong/false. And watch out for this SisterBear who has had to stifle for years and hold it in. There's a reason I picked the name GrandmaBear and there'sa reason for the term MamaBear too (which I also use) and why the term exists and means as it does or they do. YOU messed with my child or sister or grandchild and HE77 hath no fury like a MamaBear, GrandmaBear. Well here we have little SisterBear and I say again GO GIRL!

We aren't the jury thank goodness but in many a case we see little doubt of who likely committed the offense. Does anyone have much doubt in this one? I don't.

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WTVF) — Robertson County authorities have surrounded a home in rural Springfield.
The heavy police presence is at a property on Owens Chapel Road.
Sky 5 is flying above the scene. NewsChannel 5 has sent crews to the location.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has confirmed they are helping with the situation.
"The sheriff’s office with the assistance of the TBI is executing a search warrant at a residence on Owens Chapel Road in relation to an active investigation," authorities said with the Robertson County Sheriff's Office. "No further information is available at this time."
A viewer sent us this video from her phone of the police outside of the house.

I've cried over this case for at least 15 years. Once I called the detective in charge and he told me those girls were on the Benton compound. If they find them today, I'll probably need smelling salts. At the same time, I will be sooooooooooo thankful and so happy that Kathy will finally have her girls given back to her after TWENTY YEARS of pain and suffering!!!!!!

Years ago, a few of us used to post on Topix regarding this case. Old man Benton used to come in and act like such a jerk. He was so mean to Kathy, Jennifer’s mother. He’s in jail right now. Here’s his picture. Isn’t he a piece of work?

So old man Benton was arrested for assault recently. That’s why he violated his probation and he’s in jail now. I wonder if the person he assaulted decided to speak up?

I wonder who they got the warrant/cause. Two possibilities, maybe while in jail he stupidly shared things with another inmate or whoever he domestically assaulted knows the truth and turned on him?

Anyhow, some real movement and I'm praying as well as I'm sure everyone else is too that this results in arrest AND them found.

It make me think of Daybell when they got a pretty major warrant to go in and then they found the kids bodies. I think his raccoon post was one of a few such things that probably helped get the warrant and the changes in the burial sites/land and of course they had plenty of reason already to suspect Chad and Lori with regard to more than one murder and the missing kids... That wasn't this many years by any means.

So what do they have, did they get that's new that let them go in after all this time finally with a warrant...? A plus side is there has to be something and something new and fairly significant I'd think... The domestic would seem quite possible that the victim spilled and had a change of heart...

anyhow just to see big new movement on it is awesome!
