Adrianna's photo is shown age-progressed to 11 years. She may be in the company of her mother, Jennifer Wix. Jennifer's photo is shown age-progressed to 31 years. They may still be in the local area. Adrianna has a birthmark on her right thigh and she may go by the nickname Nina. Jennifer has a tattoo on her back.

Adrianna and her mother, Jennifer Wix, were seen together between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. on March 25, 2004. Jennifer's live-in boyfriend, William Benton, initially stated Jennifer and Adrianna left home with an unknown individual.

He later altered his story and said he and Jennifer had an argument and he dropped her and Adrianna off at an Exxon gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee. After five to ten minutes, Adrianna and Jennifer got into a white four-door early 1990's model mid-size car, at a gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee.

Benton stated Jennifer went to their home, without Adrianna, the next afternoon. She was driving the car she'd gotten into the previous day. She asked for her income tax return but her boyfriend's parents were not at home to give her the money so she left and said she would come back for it. She never did.

Jennifer and Adrianna have never been heard from again. Neither of them had any personal items, money, or extra clothes when they disappeared.

Jennifer and Adrianna may still be in the Cross Plains area, or they may have traveled to Florida. They are believed to be in danger, as it is uncharacteristic of Jennifer to be out of touch with her family.

I should have read one post further but I'm wondering too was this photo of her child? The year would be the same year they disappeared. This man KEPT this photo for 20 years on some device?! She may have actually come in on it going on and not necessarily found the photo. IF this was her daughter. Correct me if I'm wrong with the possibility of that.
No, it’s a possibility for sure.

40. Well, if you're going to do something. Do a good job. You are going away moron. A long, Long time.
Let’s hope he never sees the light of day again! And if his son Joey was involved, he needs to get in there with him. Joey was Jennifer’s boyfriend.

I like it when they charge all they can and all deserved. Like in Soto, he has 60 plus I think charges. Pedos both of them apparently, in this one too. SICK murderers. May he never again see the light of day.

I figured as much and I suppose she is the most likely vicitim as well. At the age of two. That's so evil.

If the photo was this child, I think there's a very good chance the mom walked in OR found the photo and this was the motive and that's IF he or they weren't doing something to BOTH of them. Yes the son needs to go down to if involved. They all lived there, do I have that right? I mean how unlikely is it they were both buried without the other knowing, etc. I'd have to refresh on the details.

Also since they went "missing" on March 25, if this photo is of the child, it was taken in the first months of 2004 to be 20 years old and taken while she was alive would all seem likely. So there is a good chance this or his acts on the child being found out were what spurred murdering both of them. Could have spared a two year old who couldn't tell easily but why would he/they? They had no right to her if mom was gone and probably cared less.

Were there always this many sick pedos in the world or did the internet and easier access to darker and darker holes create more?

Gray asked that on his show not long ago when talking on the Soto case wondering if there's always been so many but how it seems like there are tons more now than it ever seemed and why or was it always the case.... I mean I think ihe was really a bit stricken with it as if just realizing how it is everywhere and every time one turns around just as I am or any of us are. I will say this it wasn't always that a single mom or divorced mom was a common thing, it was a rare thing when I was growing up. VERY rare so you wouldn't have had men dating mothers to get near their children nearly as much as you would nowadays. There probably was some amount of sadly incest in families even if it was an uncle or so on but I don't think that was common either. Although I'd dare say maybe most knew of one such family or two. I did, or so it was rumored and in one it came out as true in later years and then it all got snuffed back out. And there WERE widowed parents where a spouse died young and perhaps the parent remarried and so there were stepchildren to the one parent and then they may have had their own. Mine was a family like that. We are halves and I have one full, all raised together as full brothers and sisters after their mom died young and my mom was only the bio mom of us youngest two. We had NO SUCH issues in our family but I know of a similar one that did but it wasn't a parent, it was an older brother when a teen or half brother I guess. Before I wander any further, I'll just sum it up by saying I think for that reason no we didn't see as much of it as marriages weren't short and divorce wasn't coming and most mothers didn't date, they were married and if they found themselves pregnant and single, they married them fast and so on. But were the number of this type of men out there floating around either? I don't mean old Benton but am thinking of the 30 something perp in Soto for instance. With that, I'll stop wandering or going on about it as it is a bit of a sidetrack.

Well, he's not real bright apparently. 40 charges and keeping a pic on a device for 20 years he could have easily eradicated in every single way for good. He must have really thought he was invincible all these years and they'd never be able to do a thing. I hope he hates his new life.

Due to recent developments, the REWARD money offer is currently rescinded!

Are we getting close to finding the girls?
I read the post a bit back above this one. And now read this one. Can I ask where you got this that it is rescinded over recent developments? I am positive you are sure and don't need to link, just wondering where the info came from. Does this mean it is rescinded as it is approved to be paid out to someone?

I’m a verified insider in this case. However, it was posted on their Facebook page. I believe that might be public? Not sure.

Gotcha but I guess what I mean more so is the reward taken down because of developments meaning they cracked it so no one is owed the reward and they took it down OR does it mean it was cracked by a tip and the reward is going to be paid out. When you say it was taken down due to recent developments? More was said surely?

You wouldn't take one down if you still wanted anyone to come forward or needed them to...

They are being very quiet about the reason, so I really don't know the strategy. Personally? I think LE asked them to remove the offer, but I could be wrong.

Okay. I'll just wait because this just adds to my confusion. I dont' see why they'd take it down unless someone is getting the reward and/or no need for further help or tips, etc. Hopefully yes it means it is solved and about to be charged because if not, then I don't see removing the reward.

It's all very cryptic the way you put it, lol and I can only guess there's a reason for that.

Wix family holds fundraiser to spread awareness on 20-year cold case

This weekend, the Wix family held a fundraiser to raise awareness about the disappearance of mother and daughter Jennifer and Adrianna Wix.

Saturday, the family held a car wash at Veterans Restoration, in which they raised over $2,000. They also had an event next door at Deja Moo in Springfield where the ice cream spot gave a percentage of each sale to the family.

The family says all the money will go towards private investigators and legal representation, as well as billboards and yard signs.

Casey Robinson, Jennifer's sister, says the more people who know about Jennifer and Adrianna, the better shot they have at learning what happened to them, after all these years.

"It's a new generation, it's new people moving into our town, all around Nashville and there's people here that have never heard about Jennifer and Adrianna," explained Robinson. "They're not familiar with our case, and so we are out here raising awareness for Jennifer and Adrianna, trying to gain more support from the community — and we had it."

I hear they did very well! Kathy and I wish that people would’ve been this involved way back in the beginning. It was a different time I guess. But right now, they’ve got a lot of people interested and it’s great! Let’s put the heat on the Benton’s!!!!

According to Jennifer sister’s, Joey has admitted that he did not drop the girls off at the gas station. That has been his story for 20 years. We all knew it wasn’t true, but now that he’s admitted it, what’s next?

🙏🙏🙏
You know sometimes they have to decide to go with the case they have or it's how do you decide? Wait for me or roll the dice? A family awaiting justice would be happy I'd think to just have the go with it and effort made IF there's even close to enough to have a chance. I think I'd feel that way rather than life in limbo and turmoil.

And of course we don't know what they have. Maybe if they can get something turning TWENTY years later then wait but it is TWENTY years later.

For the next two decades, despite relentless searching, prayer vigils, fundraisers to help pay for private investigators, billboards and yard signs, and even an occasional confrontation with the Bentons, Jennifer's family said little new information was uncovered.

"I miss them both, and I would do anything to know where she's at," said Joey Benton, during a FOX 17 News story in 2008.

"We done everything we could for a year to try to help find Jennifer, and we just don't know where Jennifer is," said Joe Benton, Joey's father, at the time.
However, March 27, 2024, would break years of quiet.

"Twenty years to the day that we reported Jennifer and Adrianna missing," noted Casey.

Law enforcement raided the Benton home. Neighbors and friends started vigorously calling Casey and her family.

"We didn't know what they would find," said Casey, who went to the check out the activity.

Following the execution of a search warrant, Joseph Benton Sr. is now facing more than 40 charges for unlawful possession of dozens of weapons, explosives and sexual exploitation of a minor, after court records say a 20-year-old picture was discovered.

Benton is a felon following a previous assault conviction, and is not allowed to have weapons, according to court documents.

None of the charges are directly related to Jennifer and Adrianna's disappearance, which was reclassified as homicide in 2013.

But Casey believes this could lead to answers, and has met with the Robertson County District Attorney.

"The charges that are being handed down are big, and it could potentially be used as leverage in our case," said Casey.

Casey also said, in a startling turn, Joey Benton agreed to meet with her and Jennifer's mother, for the first time ever in a sit-down meeting.

"He actually came forward and said, 'I'm ready to tell y'all everything,'" said Casey. "He told a different story, that everything he had told the first time to me on that first phone call was a lie."
Casey declined to give details, fearing it could compromise her investigation, but did say the information was about what happened the day Jennifer and Adrianna went missing. She said other information was also given.

"That their remains could be somewhere local," said Casey. "That was the first time in 20 years that Jennifer and Adrianna were referred to, by (the Benton) family, as remains."

Casey said her family, along with investigators, dug in multiple wooded areas in Robertson County, over the last month. However, nothing has surfaced- yet.

"I feel like we're getting closer," said Casey.

Casey said since she and Thorp began re-interviewing everyone possible in the case, some have opened up with new information.

"They're coming forward because they know how close we are," said Casey.

However, others with knowledge, are still remaining silent.

"We've had a lot of people come forward and say, 'I wish I could tell you what I know, but I'm too scared,' said Thorp.

Casey is also raising funds to hire an attorney, as she wrote in the GoFundMe, "We have spent YEARS investigating and searching for answers. We are at a point where we feel like we need legal guidance and representation to help us moving forward."

This is the last one I did not get to last night. I need another cup of java. This is a bit confusing and no time to read the link but on one hand it sounds like he admitted to some things but on the other, not everything or enough to find her. Kind of crytpic, as far as what I read here.

Would be so nice for the family to see them found and justice to result.

Sounds like some things have been going on at least and part of this is perhaps to bring pressure.

Thank God even if not related some serious charges are in play.

And with that, i've really got to start stepping on it a bit. i've half dallied too long, moving too slow. I might not have time for my, this week, my homemade egg mcbagel as I have bagels instead of muffins and that is needed. never did eat last night.

This is such a sad case, I mean many are BUT TWO missing and never either found.
