Adrianna and her mother, Jennifer Wix, were seen together between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. on March 25, 2004. Jennifer's live-in boyfriend, William Benton, initially stated Jennifer and Adrianna left home with an unknown individual.

He later altered his story and said he and Jennifer had an argument and he dropped her and Adrianna off at an Exxon gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee. After five to ten minutes, Adrianna and Jennifer got into a white four-door early 1990's model mid-size car, at a gas station near Exit 112 off Interstate 65 in Cross Plains, Tennessee.

Benton stated Jennifer went to their home, without Adrianna, the next afternoon. She was driving the car she'd gotten into the previous day. She asked for her income tax return but her boyfriend's parents were not at home to give her the money so she left and said she would come back for it. She never did.

Jennifer and Adrianna have never been heard from again. Neither of them had any personal items, money, or extra clothes when they disappeared.

Jennifer and Adrianna may still be in the Cross Plains area, or they may have traveled to Florida. They are believed to be in danger, as it is uncharacteristic of Jennifer to be out of touch with her family.

New true crime podcast to highlight Wix missing persons case

Although it has now been over 20 years since Jennifer and Adrianna Wix were reported missing from the Cross Plains area, renewed attention and speculation has recently been given to the case in hopes of finding answers to their disappearance.

This week, a new true crime investigative podcast titled “Missing in Hushtown” will be released, with season one focusing exclusively on the girls’ unsolved case.

Created and produced by AnnLee Audio House producer Julie Thorp, a Robertson County native, season one of “Missing in Hushtown,” titled “The Road to Justice,” will tell the full story of Jennifer and Adriann’s mysterious disappearance and presumed murder, from the perspective of their family, friends, and others close to the investigation.

Thorp is joined in production by Casey Robinson, Jennifer’s younger sister. Together they have tested alibis, recorded over 40 hours of interviews, and spent more than 15 months producing the all-telling podcast for the Wix family, in honor of Jennifer and Adrianna.

The podcast, which is in its last stages of production, will be available to listen on all podcast streaming platforms on Aug. 16 at 8:15 a.m.

I have a question if anyone knows the answer. This gives a specific date AND TIME. Does that mean it can't be heard after if one can't watch at that time or is that just it's "premiere" and it will always be accessible after?

Missing in Hushtown has been released and so far, it’s had a lot of downloads! I’m not sure of the exact amount! You can listen to it on Spotify. There’s also other areas to listen to it. Here’s a link to the website and it gives you links to where it can be heard. I listened to the first episode right on the website itself.

I didn’t learn anything new on the first episode, but I’m not surprised because I’ve been following this case closely for years and years. Way back when, I was in constant communication with Kathy.

Oh wow! The episode about Deputy Campbell was chilling! I didn’t know about that one.

I hope they talk about the first detective on the case because I actually spoke with him on the phone. If they talk about him in one of the episodes, I will share with you guys my conversation with the guy.

I didn't realize it was multiple episodes, thought just one full documentary. I never went into the link so just assumed. Hoped to watch but not sure I will get to that many. Will have to see.

Interested in feedback though if feel like giving any or have time here and there if I don't get to it anytime soon.

Oh boy....the episode about Joey made my hair stand on end! Joey has a sister and they interviewed a woman who was friends with the sister and spent the night at their house when she was in the 4th grade. The mom, Cindy, put the girls in the sister's bedroom and locked the door - FROM THE OUTSIDE. The friend had to go to the bathroom and Cindy escorted her to the bathroom, locked it from the outside, and the friend had to let her know when she was finished so she could be escorted back to Joey's sister's room! 🫣 She said Cindy brought them something to eat, gave them the food and once again, locked the door. (And my kids wondered why I didn't let them spend the night at other peoples' houses when they were kids! This is a prime example!)

The friend also said that Joey was kept locked in his room, too.

So..... why all the mystery? WHAT WAS GOING IN THE BENTON HOUSEHOLD?????

There is no way for probably a year (hope that's an exaggeration) I am going to get to watch these. Much was just dumped don Soto and don't have time or it in me to watch them either.

It’s not watching, it’s listening.

I have known about the details of this case for about 16 years. I don’t know what others would not know or deem interesting? But I will bring up things I hadn’t heard before.

Last night I learned about Nina‘s biological father. I didn’t know anything about him because Kathy didn’t talk about him for his own privacy sake. But now he came out and explained that at the same time Adrianna went missing, his oldest son was born with down syndrome! So he was dealing with a lot of his son’s health issues and it was overwhelming. I can’t imagine! He sounds like such a nice guy! He only got to be around Adrianna one time because he didn’t know he was her father until shortly before she disappeared. 😢

Yeah I always forget they aren't videos.

I appreciate anything you thinking new or interesting since doubt I will get around to watching them. You don't have to of course but do appreciate if you want to share anything.

Very hard time for his dad then and too bad he hadn't known of her earlier and had a chance to develop a relationship.

Search continues for missing mother and daughter 21 years since disappearance

It’s been 21 years since Jennifer Wix and her then 2-year-old daughter, Adrianna, disappeared.

March 25 is a day that doesn’t get easier for Casey Robinson, Jennifer’s sister, even after decades. It’s the anniversary of when her sister and niece disappeared.

“Today, I’m just feeling all in my feels and [I’m] emotional,” Robinson said. “I’ve really been that way all week.

“You hold out hope that you can get information or find them or that it can be solved in the beginning, but whenever this much time passes, it’s like a little bit of hope passes with it,” Robinson said. “…They meant something to us and bringing them home means something to us and being able to give them a proper burial and have a place where we can go and see them on days like today and on their birthdays and holidays [is important.]”

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve been hard at work looking for justice, but as of publication, there are no new leads. District Attorney General Robert Nash said his heart goes out to the Wix family, adding the case remains a priority for his office.

“We’re hopeful, but 21 years is a long time,” Robinson said.

Robinson asks everyone to keep sharing this story on social media and the TBI and the RCSO have asked anyone with information to contact them. You can call the RCSO at 615-384-7971 or you can follow this link to submit a tip online. You can also call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

I've gotten where I hate the annual bday or day gone missing thing in cases. I get it's a way to keep them in the news and in people's hearts but every time I see activity or that someone posted I hope, as I am sure we all do, that it is about them being found, or someone charged, depending on the case. I

I came here with some close to my heart too and I hate that I hardly even think of them any longer. I do, but not regularly. Amiah Robertson, one example. I can name several but won't. I probably have in the past.

Obligatory. That's a very good word for it.
