Did you load and read document KK ? - it was 72 pages altogether. I thought it was graphic anyway so thought it best to warn about it. Virginia described it as hedonistic orgies at one point.
I read every word of it. The orgies were described in a brief excerpt from her point of view about the atmosphere at Little Saint James.

What I got from this was a very personal account of a woman telling her story on no one else's terms.

Had you read it previously or was that the first time? I had not read it or any extracts before so it answered a lot of questions for me. For example, why they did not use her as a witness at Maxwell's trial became clear to me. Now that Jean Luc Brunel is being tried in France, I will follow that also to see how it all links together.

Parking this link here re the Brunel connection.

I had not read it, nor extracts, prior to your posting.

Why do you think she wasn't called as a witness in Ghislaine Maxwell's trial?

Prince Andrew and Epstein 2009 agreement to be released tomorrow and a video conference is to take place.

I didn't know that Virginia Giuffre had a legal agreement with Jeffrey Epstein in 2009.

Because the defence would have very likely brought up her history prior to meeting Maxwell.

Just found this that Dershowitz had posted that is an additional reason.

(I think that Dershowitz negotiated the 2009 plea/settlement deal but my opinion, as I am unsure.)

I think this is what they must be talking about. The plea/settlement agreement, but am not sure. I thought that was already public.
The NPA in 2008 didn't include Giuffre and yes that was made public so I'm curious as to what agreement was made in 2009. Let me know if you find out more details.

We will find out tomorrow, I guess.

Just found this Sun article which clarifies what the document is ( ie a document between Guiffre and Epstein dated 2009 that bars "royalty" from being sued). Both sides have seen it and a judge has said it should be made public, which is scheduled tomorrow.

This is a copy of the complaint against Prince Andrew. The document can be downloaded at the bottom. She is suing for $75m.

When the Epstein v Guiffre settlement doc is released, I am guessing it will appear at this link too, later today.

Are they the only two questions where they maintain she lied? Maybe the sex toys were hers not Epsteins. Did anyone other than Alessi mention them at the trial?
Those are two pretty big whoppers though then it became obvious she lied about them.

That's part of the problem. We do not know who else might have mentioned them or not since coverage was so spotty on the trial.

tbh I don't know. It would be nice to be able read the court transcript however that seems highly unlikely. If the Federal government brought charges against her then I'd be inclined to believe the questions she lied about were not introduced at this trial since those charges were severed from the others.

Document posted at bottom of article.

A federal court just released the settlement deal between Epstein and Giuffre

The settlement deal between disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre, one of his main accusers, was publicly released Monday, after being kept secret for more than a decade.

The 2009 agreement was filed under seal in two court cases that pit Giuffre against the U.K.'s Prince Andrew and attorney Alan Dershowitz. Giuffre says Epstein arranged for her to have sex with the men on multiple occasions when she was a minor. At the time, her last name was Roberts.

In the agreement, Giuffre agreed to end her lawsuit, filed as Jane Doe No. 102 vs. Jeffrey Epstein, in exchange for Epstein agreeing to give Giuffre $500,000 "and other valuable consideration," an accommodation that was not explained in detail.

Some terms of the deal also apply to "second parties" and "other potential defendants," categories that could apply to many of Epstein's alleged co-conspirators. For instance, the agreement states that upon taking effect, it will "remise, release, acquit, satisfy, and forever discharge" anyone who could be a potential defendant from state or federal lawsuits filed by Giuffre.

The expansive terms of the agreement apply "from the beginning of the world to the day of this release."
District Judges Loretta A. Preska and Lewis A. Kaplan ruled in December that the entire document should be publicly released, saying that no parties in the legal proceedings had shown "good cause" for it to remain obscured. Epstein died in 2019; his death was ruled a suicide.

The 12-page settlement "is a final resolution of a disputed claim and is intended to avoid litigation," the document states. But its language is certain to be parsed in the ongoing court cases involving Dershowitz and Andrew. While parts of the deal seek to limit the legal exposure of people in Epstein's inner circle, it's uncertain how it could be applied in those lawsuits.

Andrew's legal team says the 2009 arrangement voids any claims Giuffre might have against him. As the BBC reports, the duke of York's lawyer Andrew B. Brettler has previously said the Epstein settlement "releases Prince Andrew and others from any purported liability arising from the claims Ms. Giuffre asserted against Prince Andrew here."

As for Dershowitz, Giuffre's filed her suit against the famous Harvard Law School professor in 2019. And because it's a defamation case, it also pertains to the time period after the settlement took effect 10 years earlier.

The settlement is emerging less than a week after Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's longtime partner, was found guilty of sex trafficking a minor and other crimes. Giuffre and numerous other accusers say Maxwell and Epstein lured underage girls into their orbit by promising to improve their lives, with sexual exploitation as their true goal.

In a deposition that was made public in 2020, Giuffre named a number of high-profile men with whom she said she was told to have sex, including Dershowitz, Andrew and former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell. All three men have denied the allegations.

The question about whether she knew Epstein had sex with other women - maybe she thought Epstein only got them to "massage" him and not have full on intercourse. I know that is a stretch but it was only the Carolyn charges she was found guilty of and that was Guiffre that had sex with Epstein while Carolyn was with them. If they are the only two questions where they believe she perjured herself, they have to prove it.

I'm not a lawyer, however I do not understand how this document protects Dershowitz or Andrew.
