Thanks.

So 3am seems to be a commonality with these "adults". I figured that this park incident must have happened at night but I don't have any clue as to what they thought was going to happen with them by leaving them, especially since they were older. It's not like they were toddlers, which I was picturing.

So that is the guy that the "mom" thought was worth getting rid of her kids for????
That's what I was thinking! He's certainly no prize! Piece of garbage, if you ask me.

Both James and Nylo believed to be in the Ohio River. :(

James Hutchinson, Nylo Lattimore: Crews search Ohio River for missing boys believed to be dead

As trained volunteers continue to search for two missing boys who are believed to be dead, experts believe being involved with two horrific tragedies centered around children can lead to emotional trauma.

North Star International and Ohio Landsar crews say they are committed to finding 6-year-old James Hutchinson, of Middletown, and 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore of Cincinnati.

Police believe the boys were killed in two separate criminal cases, but their remains have not been located.

I still don't know what she thought was going to happen when her children, who are clearly old enough to know who they are and who their mother is, told LE what happened...
Same issue here as all of you. It makes no sense. All I can figure is she thought they would all be taken away from her when found but is she so dumb as to not think there would possibly be neglect charges? Because it makes no sense, I feel there must be more to what she planned...? I can't help but think we only have her word for it as to where he is and what really happened... LE may know though...

I would guess thst just by looking at bf and the lack of any actual plan of what would happen later to the kids that drugs are heavily involved.
I feel something is missing or wrong here although darned if I can put my finger on what... I wonder where he was for starters...? If she had all 3 kids with her why was he not with her? He apparently went with her to get rid of the body and they left the others home. It is claimed they threw him off a bridge in Indiana... Hmmm. Even at the park, she picks him up and puts him in the car... However, she doesn't dispose of him herself... It isn't adding up for me... Not saying they are innocent by any means just that something is wrong...

Three different spots and no one sees anything...?

Recovery efforts for James Hutchinson suspended Wednesday due to Ohio River levels

High river levels will again delay the search and recovery efforts for the body of James Hutchinson, the Middletown 6-year-old who police said was killed by his mother and body dumped in the Ohio River.

Middletown Police Chief David Birk said the Ohio River levels near the I-275 bridge in Lawrenceburg, Indiana were still too high and too dangerous to search. Crews will continue to monitor the river levels through the week and will assessed for safety when the search can resume, Birk said.

North Star International K9 Search and Recovery, a group who initially started to search for Hutchinson’s body Sunday, pulled off from their efforts Monday and described treacherous conditions encountered by rescue crews.

“One of searchers actually entered the water trying to retrieve what may have been a body and nearly went into hypothermia. If wasn’t the quick action of the medics on the team we may have had serious injury,” a spokesperson for the group said in a Facebook message Monday.

Ohio River search for boy to resume; mom charged with murder

Crews expect to resume searching the Ohio River on Sunday for a 6-year-old Ohio boy who police say died when his mother tried to abandon him at a park and drive away but he grabbed for a door and was dragged.

The mother, 29-year-old Brittany Gosney, of Middletown, was indicted Friday in Butler County on 16 counts, including murder, corpse abuse and endangering children.

Her boyfriend, James Hamilton, 42, was also indicted on 15 counts, including corpse abuse, tampering with evidence and endangering children.

So she was planning to get rid of all of the children according to her statements how could anyone do such a thing? Then to try and act like she doesn't understand the charges against her. I am guessing that she will be trying to use a mental impairment defense but I'm not buying it. She went to great lengths to hide what she did which shows that she knew it was wrong.

Yeah, I watched her court hearing and about the first thing out of her mouth was she didn't understand what was going on, the charges and has a learning disability. What at all does that have to do with planning to get rid of your children??

I mean... she did think that abandoning her school-age children in the park in the middle of the night would work out just fine. So I don't doubt that she's got some issues. BUT I'm not trying to excuse her behavior. She knew enough to go back and hide James' body.

Search efforts, vigils continue for children missing in Ohio River

As officials prepare to again search the Ohio River for the body of 6-year-old James Hutchinson on Sunday, community members continue to search and mourn both Hutchinson and 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore, whom officials believe was also put into the river in December.

On Saturday, community members gathered in Middletown for a vigil and balloon release for both children. Those who attended said they are determined to keep searching along the Ohio River for the boys, hoping to bring both families some sense of closure.

"To see everybody come out and support James and Nylo, I mean, it warms my heart that everybody does care," said Destiny Hill, who organized Saturday's event. "There are people out there that care."

Rising waters in the Ohio River stalled search efforts earlier in the week for both boys, as officials deemed the river too high and dangerous to effectively or safely search. Now that waters have receded, the officials plan to resume the search efforts.

"So now we have to come out and help them and make sure that their babies come back home to them," said Faith Burton, a friend of Nylo Lattimore's father. "So that's our goal. It's been our goal since December 15 for Nylo, and now baby James."

That's true but I am not sure I buy what she states her plan was nor what actually happened yet. I can't help it as it comes from her/them and LE has said nothing to show they have information that the story and even confession is true as to the facts at least. They can probably examine her car and the roadway, etc. but they don't have his body to be sure that is how he died nor that anything happened prior, etc.

It is possible I guess she just thought they would be taken out of her care and into foster care if found abandoned but not sure I am ready to believe that was her plan...

And as you said she did know enough to try to hide it and cover it. I guess much remains to be seen as to what bears out as fact, etc.

The efforts of searchers/LE and outpouring for these two boys is heart warming to see. One bright light in sad situations.

Her defense is full of crap. I’ve known a lot of people with developmental disabilities and they aren’t killers.

Yep, I agree. And there are many types of learning disabilities and not all would in any way relate to understand anything, it certainly is no defense. It was obvious what she was doing and to me, it was maddening. No sign of remorse or accountability. Sickening.

Bodies of Lattimore, Hutchinson not found in search
A search for the bodies of Nylo Lattimore and James Hutchinson on Sunday did not yield any results.

After more than six hours of scouring the banks and high waters for the boys, investigators and officers turned up nothing.

Police agencies and volunteers searched by foot, by helicopter, on horseback, and with K-9s.
