JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
• June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
• July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
• August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
• September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
• September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
• September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
• September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
• October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
• October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
• October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
• October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
• Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
• November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
• November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
• December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
• December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
• December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
• January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
• January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

So many things in this case that are coming up we all are going at times, I forgot about that. Does anyone remember a recording with Summer or is this new...?

Something else that has been bothering me is trying to recall Janis and Summer's interview with LE. It seems to me, not saying it is fact but it keeps coming to mind so I think there was something in her interview that leaves me thinking that Summer hinted at immunity in hers. It could have been Janis but I feel it was Summer. I remember not being happy with her interview and feeling like at minimum there was omission and perhaps lying... Too much in this case has been stuffed in and it is hard to retain especially with the time that has passed. Then we see it or hear it and it is like oh yeah, I've heard that before...

I wouldn't think she'd record calls with Lori normally so I'm almost thinking that cops got her to do so?

It's new to me. I think it will be a jailhouse recorded call, after the children's bodies were found. I don't think Summer or Janis got or needs immunity. They weren't part of the inner circle and were blindsided. Summer even said such.

Well, Janis did lie and say she talked with JJ after we know he was dead. And I think BOTH knew more around the time of Charles' death, maybe not any involvement that would lead to charges but hard to say. As far as Janis' lie, when she did that, she knew the kids were being looked for and were missing, and I can only guess Lori asked her to do so or she decided to do so.

Wasn't it Summer that they tried to bring into the group who claimed she sort of did dance with it and entertain it but then thought no, not for her...? I am fuzzy on it but I just know there are/were things that put my radar up and I certainly didn't feel them forthcoming and honest back when.

I'd highly recommend the cousin's thing from last night above. Gives an insight into the family and more. A lot of tidbits in it including the "specialness" factor...

So Lori's dad was into big time whether people were attractive or not. He referred to her as unfortunately only having two fried eggs for breasts. He later paid for implants so she could do pageantry, etc. and be more physically attractive I guess.

That seems like a stretch but who knows... So call grandma and then hope grandma reports it to prove the kid is alive?

All I know is neither the sister nor the mom left me feeling like they were honest people. I don't remember all the details but I was not on board at the end of their interviews.

The adult sister who died, Stacy, who had diabetes had a divorce with a custody fight for Melanie (Lori's niece). Barry Cox, (grandpa/Lori and Stacy's father) wrote long letters to the court. One says how his daughter graduated from BYU with highest honors in her field and went on that Mel's father wasn't that bright and while good at things like construction, etc. couldn't pass a thing because he couldn't pass basic math, etc.

Earlier in the video, it went on or the cousin said how Barry always said pretty much how dumb or unattractive or bad (my words) 95 percent of the population is but he and they were in the top 5 percent, the "special" ones? All while putting on an appearance and yet going against all rules, etc. behind closed doors. (Again my paraphrasing). Yet he did time for tax evasion I think it was and was investigated for sexual molestation of children and keeps child pornography.

This cousin, if I have it right, left the church. Her own upbringing also was not ideal. I find her very intelligent with good insight.

Wow. She thinks in light of all that's happened, both the Cox baby's death and Stacy's should be looked at.

She and her family and Alex were the only ones around when Stacy needed to be put in care. The rest of the Cox family were in Hawaii and even though they knew of the bad turn, they did not come home. They all had to get her care and knew she was going to die, I take it Alex and cousin and her folks. And even so, Coxes didn't come home for many days from Hawaii and in fact didn't get there before Stacy died.

Doesn't this all sound like deja vu or close to other things now...

Before this there are letters on the screen from Barry Cox to the court about his daughter, etc. Stacy I mean.

I'd think if one of your grandchildren were missing you'd be darned sure of the dates wouldn't you? The last thing you'd want to do is affect any chance of them being found by giving incorrect info. You'd double and triple check it. I also think you'd know their voice. Jmo.

And of course I've been listening to a lot of details of the Cox family last night and this morning... And granted didn't have a great opinion to begin with nor was I impressed with Janis or Summer when with LE.

She also says they thought Stacy was going to be buried and didn't know until years later that she was cremated.

Not a real common thing in this faith supposedly.

She is questioning a lot in hindsight and I would be too.

No, I don't think so. It was before Tammy was dead and she used Charles' Amazon account after he was dead to buy the rings.

Not that they may not have been planning such since who knows when.

Ah ok I remembered that wrong then. There was only a few months between Charles' and Tammy's murders though with the children's murders in between. So 4 murders in 3 months basically. And she is sitting smirking and smiling with her lawyers.

Chad also searched for malachite jewellery way before Charles' murder, that just came out in testimony too.

The Hawaiin wedding and honeymoon was likely paid for with Tammy's life insurance, which Chad increased a month or so before she was murdered.

My ability to keep up with the trial yesterday was spotty. I really appreciate that Nate is doing this every night! He had a question as to whether he might do this for the Idaho4 case, and he said he might do the nightly briefing like he’s been doing for this case. But I don’t think he’s gonna go to the trial unless it’s in Boise.

Didn't she plan Hawaii and buy the wedding rings before Charles was dead? Also Charles was dark and no longer Charles but was Ned instead. She also continued claiming the SS for the dead kids.

Do you know what got me the most? She bought the rings with Charles’ account. He was murdered. Evil people don’t know the difference between right and wrong. At all.

So he was searching wind direction before Tylee was even dead and buried. JJ came later. Do we think they were buried at different times or was Tylee kept somewhere until JJ was killed and then they buried both?

I think the Yellowstone thing may have been one last family outing and picture (of the ones who would soon be gone) and then a brutal death and while Lori was doing that, Charles was checking wind and making plans for her burial.

Do you think Tylee knew at Yellowstone? Some surmised that when the picture came out, etc. I mean she knew they thought her dark.

Tylee was buried the day that Chad made up the raccoon story. JJ was buried later. It’s also been tracked by cell phone pings. There’s going to be more cell phone corrugation information today.

What I’ve been told from my Mormon relatives is that the body must be buried and never cremated. It has to do with the afterlife and resurrection of bodies.
