JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
• June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
• July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
• August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
• September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
• September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
• September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
• September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
• October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
• October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
• October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
• October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
• Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
• November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
• November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
• December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
• December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
• December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
• January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
• January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

Lori Vallow Daybell's efforts to throw out one of her criminal cases in Arizona did not work.

New records obtained by 12News show show that a judge recently denied her motion to dismiss one her cases in Maricopa County.


Earlier this month, she filed to dismiss that second case out of Gilbert, claiming her right to a speedy trial was violated.

Court records now show the judge rejected that argument and said the trials could happen back-to-back. He noted that the cases experienced delays under "extraordinary circumstances," in part, due to the complexity of the cases and high volume of discovery.

In December, the judge approved Lori Vallow Daybell's request to represent herself. The motion to dismiss is part of a series of motions she's submitted to the court since she started going pro se.

Jury selection for the first trial for the case out of Chandler is scheduled to start in March.

If she would’ve been able to get that thrown out, I would’ve thought she was a better attorney than Jose Baez.

I know what you mean. I don't try to catch them all these days. If I see, I do try to bring in here and link for others, even if I can't watch.

I care and I'm mostly for them however I do hope he finds something one day that is not all about his mom, etc... Hard to ignore when sh*t still goes on with her though, of course.

Well I found myself quickly through 1/2 of it and it is pretty good. FIgured I may as well finish it at that point. He's a bit more general in some of the second half and venting a bit. This is how I imagined the relationship was like and probably why Tylee was starting to push back at the end of her life. Lori is so self-absorbed that I don’t believe she even had any empathy for her own children. Obviously she didn’t! She killed them.

Yes, and she truly was stuck and couldn't get out. Colby as much as said Lori didn't care about her. About any of them basically but particularly her. He said they never lacked material things but love they lacked, and of course her moving them all over, lack of stability and more. BUT Tylee chased her acceptance and approval, and as you said, she was pushing back at the end of seemed to be. He guilts himself a lot, I wish he could give himself some grace there.

One thing that set him off about this is the P wants the D to not be able to use statements by Tylee, etc. I wish I caught whether he meant the first trial or for the upcoming one but I didn't really catch that. It also sets him off what media does, not all as he is very sure to say, but a lot of media with regard to the victims and the case, and Tylee herself. Of course Lori "blaming" Tylee and claiming she was protecting her as if she killed JJ, etc. then suicided is certainly part of it too. I hope he knows NO ONE believes that.

This needs to be over for the sake of him and others and she needs to become a has been who has faded long away from interest. Look at how little we hear of Chad now, the same needs to happen to Lori. Let's get these trials over and her off to prison for good.

Watching a video of Nate that is to be an interview with John Ramsey. He is updating a few other cases first in the video.

He says Lori's trial is set for jury selection to start on March 31st. So far it is on track amazingly. Nate will do a nightly as he did in the others and will be attending. He says cameras and live aren't decided yet, media has a request in and the P is okay with them but wants a 30 minute delay on broadcasting.

Interestingly, Marcia Clark (OJ trial) wrote a new book and Nate is going to have her on next week. He also said he has some other things lined up and that he isn't at liberty to say but that late next week will be a big week to watch for....?

WELL I am not up on this but Colby came on and apparently Dateline interviewed Lori and it will be on next Friday.

He just went live at this time of night. He talked to Dateline but I am guessing he didn't know they talked to her or were going to. He just came on so I don't know the details.

Not sure yet where Colby is at with this, I am at the heck with Dateline, they can take a flying effing leap giving her a platform where she likely will blame Tylee again, to the WORLD. How dare anyone give her some national or bigger platform.

Now he is talking about a watch party. He says he is not going to spoil other things he was told would be in this. Not sure where he is with this. I'm not watching it, I will hear of it instead. They aren't getting my views and I'm not watching with him on their watch party.

He seems to be giving two perspectives here. HE is in it and others are as well I guess and he is upset IF she threw Tylee under the bus and yet he is going to watch it and seems to be drumming up watchers.

MAYBE she will come off as a nut, who knows but WHY would he want anyone watching it...

I watched him for a bit. Apparently he also interviewed for this show, I believe before she did and I remain unclear if he knew they were going to have an interview with her as well. He talks as if there will be things in it that are good, it was really unclear to me, but remains wondering if she will again throw Tylee under the bus, etc. I don't know, it seemed to me he wants it watched. Well I'm not watching it.

As we said above, it's time she goes away for good and we hear little of her.

I'm also tired of hearing about her, maybe Colby has no choice but to keep trying to deal with each new thing she pulls but I think he needs to start weaning for lack of a better word off letting each thing send him back to talking of her, I don't have the right words to express my thoughts, that doesn't really say it but I tried...

I hope a show like this in no way affects justice for Charles. It's a month to trial.

There was a person or two upset in his chat stating they weren't going to watch. It was hard to judge where he was at on it, maybe if I'd watched his whole show I'd get it but I doubt it somehow and didn't want to hear more of the same and about her. Most of his viewers are supportive of him but in this case at least a couple seemed not to be and DEFINITELY not of watching it, of Dateline or of a show coming out right before trial.

And organizing a watch party on his channel for it.

I'm pretty done with it I think. Just like Lori's uncle and brother, making money or shows about this on YT I think is getting old, one doesn't see too much like that any longer and it's good and I think it time Colby starts leaning that way too, to ending it and trying to find his path to something else. I get it's not over yet with two more trials coming up but imo it pretty much is over for her. She's old news and not interesting, she's evil. Period.

I think I'm done watching his stuff and I'm pretty much done with much interest in her.

Of course she is going to come up and still be mentioned as I'm going to do now--is she TRULY ready to represent herself in a month? That's going to be downright sickening, maybe laughable and irritating as we all watch. IF it is live streamed.
