JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

1580704661510.png

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

So he was the star of the year in 2023 and anyone can nominate them and an independent comittee picks . Lol. and no more info than that. It was like that thing in school if your folks paid to get you in the annual publication what was it called? Anywhooo.... Or like super lawyers, etc. Regardless let's just say the attyk really deserved it and it was way legit, he filed a late or midnight filing with the wrong case number and a lot of misspellings with a COURT in a HUGE case. Was he still flying over being important man or what? And be or stay relevant and in the news? Or will he regret it? Go tio affect SERIOUS murder cases to finally get underway. He is special I guess. WTF? And twice today I have added the "F" and that is not me to do that.

And what does Mr. Special Importance have to do with anything involving this case? Are we sure he didn't know Lori or she flirted with him.... Or is he just a man imbibing late at night knowing he is the star of the previous year and a new one has yet to be picked in the new year... And trying to insert himself in arguably one fo the biggeset cases/crimes in the nation about to start for his own need for self importance?

I'm just kind of winging this but look for any connection between Lori and him. Lori wants to save her Little Storm after all.

I'm not a fan of Boyce, he has no experience and has never handled sh*t in his career but I feel sorry for him to a point but not a lot so as he is determined to show even inexperienced he can do the job. However, he let the DP fall off the table with Lori. I'd feel sorry for any judge though dealing with this b.s. It is like in Delphi where we do have an experienced judge unlike here and look at the b.s. having to be dealt with.

So anyhow both defense and prosecution seem to agree this is b.s. and needs to be quashed basically and ignored. So to heck with Mr. Award Winning supposedly Super Lawyer getting his day and his sought fame. Hopefully.

Frank is hittingi me, And stepped on the keyboard 22 times.

So I waited all day while doing things to hear Nate's tonight to get this jury thing explained and now I guess it has been but has it? All day for five more versus numbers in the teens at minimum every day prior, they gained like five more?

Still a very good show and details.

Opening statements will not be Monday, coming to a jury will be and then it sounds like court will end for the day. I'm cynical and I can't help but think time has been bought here. So why no opening statements later Monday? Seriously? They all have the weekend. So instead allow time from noon or ten a.m. to Tuesday to prepare? When they could have had the entire weekend.

The goal was 50 jurors and they had 52 as of yesterday so why the change? Without explanation.

I can see where more is better but then say so...

Anyhow worth watching. As always.

If and when Linda does one it will likely hit about midnight or so my time. That's the last couple of days I come across it in the morning. And always worth a watch as well.

I heard Nate saying that the judge decided to go to 58 because he wanted to be safe rather than sorry.

I heard Nate saying that the judge decided to go to 58 because he wanted to be safe rather than sorry.
Yeah but he did so without explanation the end of the day before or the whole day almost the day of. No one knew what the deal was or what was going on, even Nate. So then what is the purpose? Are they keeping more than 18 to be safe at the end of it? Or still going to whittle to 18 and if so, are they giving more peremptory strikes to attain the 18 without argument. If he doesn't intend more alternates or a bigger pool than 18 not sure I see the reason he did this.

And jmo but he certainly could have explained or stated his intent the night before. Jurors that maybe thought they had to come back of the 50 were probably on ice not knowing as were a new pool that had to come in and perhaps thought they wouldn't have to as they had the 50. No?

I just think he could have stated the reasons and I never did hear Nate say that but trust that he did, someone I saw yesterday said as much but how did he come to know and did Boyce ever come out and say such?

I don't know. Even with 50 if some did not show up, getting 18 from that should be no problem. It seems to me it bought time. And it makes me wonder the reason. And we have that supposed b.s motion filed...

I just don't want anything to go wrong here and maybe I' reading too much into it but Boyce should have just been upfront for his reasoning and what he was doing and there wouldn't be the confusion and wondering. And he wasn't from what I saw. Yesterday was the only day I started out and got to watch it and intended to and for a long time I thought they had the pool of 50 in there and I failed to understand why they were asking them things they already should have been asked before they passed through. And no one else seemed to know what was going on in the chat either. Until someone said it is a new pool and more being chosen and they got that I think from Nate's Twitter which I wasn't looking at. But no one still knew why. Etc.

It's a big case and a DP CASE. I think all better be upfront and out there. And reasons given. Just my opinion. And that wasn't the case.

50 were stated. They ended the day before with 52. I can just see that adding another how many got that one bad one in the defense will gripe about. I know I am reaching but SET your deal and STICK to it or explain it. Any little thing these days could be twisted and turned by the defense later on. And perhaps they all agreed but how would we know?

It's probably nothing but there isn't any reason as far as I can see this should not have been stated and the reason made clear.

Linda isn't as quick as Nate but she's keeping up and always has her own info and take. I didn't know that attorney filing that motion also sent a copy to the attorney for East Idaho News. That would seem to hint it may have to do with media coverage? Who knows. Don't have time to watch it all right now but there's Linda's most recent on the case.

So they didn't have openings today and aren't even going to tomorrow? You know they are ready and expected them and prepared over the weekend, bet on it imo. I guess it does give the chosen jury members a day to get some arrangements in place if they hadn't already planned for the possibility of such being needed. Oh well.

So was anything done on this motion or is that part of the time delay?

I guess I won't be too behind by my days off anyhow, just a day.

I missed last night's but am now in the midst of watching tonight's and there is now a full on gag order which Nate explains for the duration of the trial. It makes me wonder WHO caused the concern other than defense but defense agreed for the need here as to media and people and witnesses with attorneys and more seeking info.

Interesting... Imo.

I read something about one of the lawyers giving a media interview is the reason for the gag order which will be lifted at opening statements.
I have read the article but am not posting a link because of the gag order. I'll give you one guess who gave the interview.

Here's a link to the gag order that explains the reason. Hope the link works

non-dissemination order

Also here's the Judge's YouTube channel where the trial will be live streamed apparently.

Yes Prior gave an interview and that was the reason at first for the gag order. It has now been changed and is full and I believe until the trial is over. They mentioned something and kept it vague about someone's attorney getting info or trying to get info they should have or some such. They said things like witnesses that have attorneys, party attorneys, press attorneys, I think, etc. For some reason I tend to think it may have been the attorney for a witness but don't know. Maybe I think that as it's an odd thing to mention, and most witness's don't get attorneys.

Anyhow in this case Prior agreed as did the prosecution to make the gag order the length of the trial and a full on gag order. I believe that's what they did anyhow. I was tired. As always.

So long as no one keeps it from being televised, I care less about the gag order. If someone ruins that and I will hunt them down lol.

So anyhow this is a newer one than the one we had just heard about as well recently. A more full on gag order and it seems someone possibly got info from someone they shouldn't have or was sure the heck trying to get such.

Well I have a bit of a later start time today and hoped to catch a bit of opening statements this morning but on googling of course find out ID is an hour behind us and then as Linda can tell you and we all know, Boyce rarely starts on time. I may still catch a bit but by the time it starts will be where I have to start getting ready for the work day, I try to do so somewhat leisurely lol the rare time I can or get a later start time so might catch parts over those couple of hours. The flip side is I get home late and won't catch up on as much of the day's coverage tonight.

Nate's show last night was good and man just think about how busy he is and it hasn't even started yet. He also covered Dylan Rounds and is ready to go today and that's without all the tweeting, etc. and putting his nightly show together on this on both his channel and covering for East ID News and he takes almost all viewer questions as well.

Great news on Dylan for those who haven't seen it. Most probably have. Remains recovered. Due to it sounds like a plea deal.

I missed on show of Nate's, two nights ago, otherwise have tried to keep up. That was jury selected day.

I'm also sitting here on April 10th and get as all know little time off waiting to hear from my accountant and that she has my taxes done. I need to know in enough time to review them, approve and get them in. In fairness I got them in two weeks ahead, not like she had them months but this year's are fairly simple and I was assured it would be no problem. However if it is going to be Monday on filing date, I work and need to know or take an extended lunch to or something. A weekend falls in the five days left on top of it. O/T I know but just saying this is first concern and I have two days off coming tomorrow and may need to go pound on that door (she's good and I'm sure on it but I NEED to know beforehand) rather than watch all coverage in this as I want to while catching up on all the other sh*t that never ends.

I hope to watch a lot of live coverage or at least replays but who knows what I will manage. I will rely on updates here and of course on Nate if I can't. Is everyone ready to see CHAD convicted and to get the DP? No worries, the DP does not work on self appointed portal using gods anyhow. He is eternal. Lol.

Linda actually has a feed on this one and seems fully committed to covering all of this one as best she can. She's been pretty on top of it each day.

Gigi has one too. She is probably there. Her show is Pretty Little Lies and Alibis. And of course we know Nate and East ID News will both have it. Man I wish I had today off!

Nate played part of the openings in Lori's case last night and prosecutor was great, Archibald kind of nothing really. I'd like to see today's as I think Prior's opening is going to give us a real show of where they are going to go with this case and defense. If he gives one of course, I believe they can save theirs if they want to until later. I think he will. I think they'll come out strong. However, the man also has a tendency to wander or go too long, let's see how he manages his direct and intense questioning at times with his penchant for rambling at times and not being so clear. I think each is a tactic in different circumstances quite honestly...

I predict Chad won't cry and be hurt when Prior throws Lori hard under the bus like Lori cried and got miffed when her atty called Chad's books stupid. Such emotion she had for a supreme goddess and coldhearted friend, mother, sister, wife in all other walks of life but for Chad.... She about fell apart like a normal human with real emotion over her man's books being called stupid.

Boyi if they were being tried together as WAS OR SHOLD HAVE HAPPENED. As I'd love to see her watching this trial and watch her reactions. And we can't. Wouldn't that be interesting... Even to see her watching at jail if she can do so and see her reactions? Of course again we can't but that would be something to see. Because I think they are going to paint her every which way as having ruined Chad's life, a witch, a manipulator, etc. and him a dufus...

A short seconds long fun interlude with Nate who says he can tell you where any Coke he drinks comes from lol. His first mistake is Pepsi is superior. Anyhow, just a short bit of light before this long trial starts.

So there were 59 total witnesses on the stand in Lori's trial per Nate's notes. He thinks there may be all the same in this one and some more.

Watching Gigi on and off and she thinks Julie Rowe could be a witness in this one as she said more than once how Tammy was going to die young per Chad or some such like that. I am getting ready for work so only catching bits but that was the gist of it or close.

My thoughts is that OF COURSE Chad's son is going to be called imo by prosecution. He was there helping when Tammy was dead and so on.
