JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

So if I have it right they will be back at 8:30 tomorrow morning. So jury is not off duty with getting a verdict today. Mountain time of course.

We can all give predictions again and I will predict the DP for Chad. Like with anything we could have one that waffles but they were qualified beforehand and found him guilty of all....

I am all for the DP in this case and I am not against it. I do however realize in many states it is a JOKE. They have it but never is it carried through with or for decades. As a juror though, I would give it in this case regardless to show he deserves It even if it has lost its oomph just for the fact these horrid crimes DESERVE such. And there's at least a chance ID will carry it out unlike some, I mean they ahead of time due to issues got the firing squad thing passed...

Anyhow I don't know why but I think I thought there would be a break before the other phase and this was an ending of a big thing today (and it WAS don't get me wrong) but right back to it tomorrow.

So even though we already have a verdict, I have went back before I never do and am listening to Prior's closing. It is hard to be fair and following Lindsey Blake would be hard for anyone but he truly does know his stuff and cites jury instructions by number and more. I'm not through it all yet but much of it so far. I mean he did and has done his job I guess. Chad can't claim ineffective counsel. He is pretty good although like most defense attorneys they unfortunately represent a guilty defendant. He is mostly pounding on State has to prove guilt and reasonable doubt as many do but also they have failed to show the missing link that there WAS an agreement to kill the kids and Tammy, etc. It doesn't work for me but so far all valid points if one looks at it THEIR way, HIS way that the plan was just a religious plan to gather the 144K and so on.

We know it did not win out, I'm just trying to be fair and say he is doing as good of a job as any attorney could do in this case with this client I guess...

he keeps saying the plan was to gather the 144 and building a village for the 144 and the sick, the infirm, the children. Chad and Lori were NOT going to have any sick or infirm there. We kNOW that. Still he is trying... Lol.

I could never be a defense attorney and I think most of us feel that way but it has to be hard as well to be so insulted, criticized and disliked. I certainly dislike almost all of them and I fail to see representing CHAD but in fairness he did, he did do even though pay probably ended some time ago, and he even let the kids stay in the home, etc. Not sure WHY but he DID do his job and did it through the END I guess I'll be decent enough to say. It's hard but I'm saying it...

Not sure I will finish that now because sentencing phase is coming up shortly here, a new day at court...

Good Lord what is the hold up. Like I am going to waste all day waiting for this. What could POSSIBLY delay this at this point?

She tweeted that she’s going to speak. I’m not going to be able to watch this morning. I have to do some work out of my office.
Well I wouldn't worry about it, although I don't mind listening to Linda, I am waiting for court and I've been waiting a LONG time now and wasting a ton of time I don't have. I finally took some things down to my car sure it would be on when I got back finally and that was after waiting how long, but nope...

Lights keep flickering on and off I guess. EIN's Katelyn just said it will start at 10 a.m. Says people are getting antsy.

I sure HOPE they have it figured out by 10 if they are going to say that! Poor families waiting for this.

Well I am annoyed as all HE77. I can't IMAGINE how these families feel. Waited for this for years, got there early as well as all attending and there it stands.... Of ALL TIMES!

OMG the poor jury too. This won't get to them until late today at this rate and they are I am sure sitting stuck in a room for all this time.

 They have a lot of charges to consider, I say Wednesday between 1-3pm

Just to briefly recap the 8 charges:

Conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder and grand theft by deception (2 counts)

1st degree murder (3 counts)

Conspiracy to commit1st degree murder (1 count)

Insurance fraud (2 counts)

ETA I misread the indictment. It's 8 charges, not 9. Edited

Even though I was clearly wrong about the number of charges to consider. I still stand by my prediction of Wednesday between 1-3.
