JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

1580704661510.png

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

Oh my goodness! Did I know Charles had a date just before? No I didn’t. And she thought he was ghosting him until months later.

This reminds me of a long time ago when I lived in Boise, Idaho and I had a date with a fellow and he didn’t show up. I think it was the only time I was ghosted. The only one I remember anyway. Long story short, I found out months later that he had committed suicide and that’s why he didn’t show up. I knew he had recently broke up with his girlfriend and he was very upset about it, and I guess that’s why he did it. I remember the girlfriend’s name was Holly, but I don’t remember what his name was. Isn’t that weird. And so sad.

I was watching people tweet what she was saying while I was at work and I have to say, it was a great way for her to testify without being cross-examined!
In the opening you mean right? Her opening I'd have to say I think was shorter than the prosecution's. Not entirely sure but if I had to guess. I mean it was long enough, NOT short at all, but the P's was pretty long.

Yeah, she got told she couldn't testify when questioning a witness either. I'm honestly not sure if she was doing it intentionally then or not, I mean with what we now of her, probably, but it's really hard to say... She didn't do it if I recall with the first witness, it was with the second and the first the P had to object several times.

I don't like being fair about her lol, but so far she's not doing that badly for a pro se defendant and is fairly prepared. I think the objections threw her off some. I think I said this but trying to recall, hearsay was also objected to and she was using statements I think from an officer's report. I didn't see how that was exactly hearsay but they said it was. I'd have to go back but maybe she was using one officer's report to another officer? I'd think if she used the same officer's she could get it in by asking him if that's what he said. It was getting to be a long day, not sure. I would have watched Nate's show later normally but I went down for the county. Of course now I am up in the middle of the night.

IF we didn't know what we know, I'd have to say though so far she's not doing that badly. IF I wasn't ready to convict her, hadn't formed an opinion and didn't know a lot, well so far.... I don't think that will last though. The P outlined a lot of evidence and it's only just begun. They were playing video of when she and Tylee came back and I don't know if I recall seeing Tyalee before but Tylee at least seemed concerned and not happy where we all know how flippant Lori was.

Nate's feed hung at a point and people in chat were saying it was the live feed of all as it was the same feed but others were saying it was working on other channels. I ended up on Justin's. So I saw two different chats and they were what one would expect for the most part with remarks. Many know as we do a lot about the case, some who did criticizing her of course, and so on.

So a time or two it hung or was on break and I was trying to do other things. I went down for the count a few hours ago, now am up in the middle of the night. I watched some of Tom's on Delphi as the confession calls to wife and mom are out and i was down for the count. So I didn't see Nate or any other summaries. I did watch or listen to basically the entire first day but was up at times, then there were sidebars, then the feed stopped or something. It ended with, and you probably know just saying for all, I believe a fireman on the stand, he is a bit nervous, so 2.5 witnesses yesterday because it ended after the P questioned him and before Lori crossed.

Her opening was a story that in trying to be fair, makes sense and mostly true too. I think though the evidence will change that and the P's opening was all true too.

So far she is playing the nice "girl". And so far it's a totally not out there thing but it also has only begun.

I'm sure it's been covered in tweets or whatever, but she kind of hit on the life insurance during opening. Trying to dismantle motive I suspect. Shows the long term of the marriage and how they were raising several kids including his in early days I guess. That Charles is an agent and put the policies on and he couldn't get as much on him as her. Yada, yada, anyhow just touching on some for those who didn't watch and I'm not going to be able to either all days by a long shot, pretty sure, and since I did watch mostly all of the first day.

I have neighbors partying, sigh. My sleep is soooo messed up.

Did I miss that?? I know before the trial even started the last woman he talked to told him to tell her about the change in beneficiary or some such. Is that who you mean? Almost had to be Id think.
I watched all of the trial but there was a time or two it hung and I was up and about at times.

I don't ever recall being ghosted--oh ONE time now that I think about it. There were a few though if they had life might have went a bit better.

It is sad.

Yes, he did tell her about the beneficiary. Nate Eaton said “thank goodness” Charles talked a lot. I agree!

That doesn't seem right only because it is not on a round number. Aren't we 6 hours apart? For me it starts at 1 and so for you it would be 7, although looking for it 1/2 hour earlier probably won't hurt anything. And you could be up 1/2 hour later. I think we both had the time change and that was our difference prior to that.. Trial starts in Phoenix at 10:30 but there is 1/2 hour delay before we see anything. I do think you have it right other than that 1/2 hour. Just trying to help.

It won't hurt for you to be looking early but just letting you know you can plan for 1/2 hour later and staying up 1/2 hour later if wanting to watch live.

I did end up watching Nate and caught that. Even though I feel I saw the whole live trial, I missed a little bit I guess. There was a blip or two of it hanging and then a time or two I was doing a few things but still had the sound up. Nate gave his opinion on a couple of things lol, which he doesn't usually do--give his opinion. His is the best watch/summary imo, that I have seen anyhow @Cousin Dupree just letting you know.

I'm only saying it in here because many were interested and we are all busy with life things or these trials even but want to let people know that quite a few things are out o the Delphi evidence, the calls with wife and mom, Kathy (wife) at the police state in the interview room I think, etc. I linked it over there. I haven't even seen it all and don't know when I will. I think Tom is going to put them up on their own afterwards but they are also in his 5+ hour show. A LONG one but it is because the evidence is that long, recordings, etc.

I don't think I will forget to get up on those as I've wanted to hear/see them but there were a few things in other cases I doubt I will get back to. Bites when it all goes on at the same time and life here too is pretty hard and full up. I have a fire inspection here tomorrow, chiro on Thursday, emails and paperwork again to fill out, supposed to be back at work part time in less than a week (last leave papers say which I have to see if are filled out and get in) which is probably dreaming, really need groceries, still not great physically but at least can walk once I unstiffen each time I get up. I'll leave it at that so I don't get carried away which I easily could.

It seems to me all the courts work more in the same months lol or something as all comes down at the same time when not long ago I was BORED with nothing going on in cases and so on. OR they do it intentionally, put things out while people's attn is elsewhere on another case to get back to the point.

I got it from the net. The court starts at 10:30 a.m. with a half hour delay on the video stream. I won't be watching but will just post the narrative once at the end of the day rather than update it throughout like i did yesterday.

I know there is a delay on the live stream but not sure if there is a delay on the tweets.

Yeah the tweets maybe no delay. Not sure. I thought you were talking of watching. Just wanted to be sure you knew especially if planning around or being up late and so on.

Let me tell ya, it was worth a watch though. There was a lot of dead time in the first part. But seeing her well, even though sick of her, it is kind of interesting to see and how they are dealing with it. So far she's being very polite, really had an opening that mostly was pretty well put together and so on... And in this one they are actually showing the witnesses when they testify. So when and if anyone can, when they want to watch something, or have time to kill, I'd recommend it.

I will never I don't think not be a proponent for lives ideally, camera/s at least, and recording so it can always be looked at. I think it should be done for appeals and all. Have it ON VIDEO and AUDIO.

Her hair is a bit better than last time but somehow she or whoever helps her seems to miss the right side of the back of her head. I know that's a petty kind of comment but with her, we are pretty much all okay with such or do such. :D

It is short, 12 minutes I think? And it does give some thoughts from yesterday and what he thinks some of the points were, where each are going, etc. Like Alex's sunglasses...

This is one I hadn't put up, it is Gigi from Pretty Lies and Alibis, she is a sweetheart imo. She attended Murdaugh I think. I like to give her support so linking.

And here is Scott/Crime Talk. I wasn't sure if they would cover this or Read. Even if he is in a trial his team puts trials up, troubleshoot and the mods are there. Imo they have a sane chat, good mods, etc. It appears they are covering. So lots of choices. Just trying to help. If anyone wants to watch, pick any. I haven't come across Linda's yet but haven't searched for it either.
