‘Come home’: Mom speaks out after Amber Alert issued for teen last seen at CLE party

Cleveland police say they’re investigating the disappearance of a 15-year-old boy as a possible abduction.

Police issued an Amber Alert just after 2 p.m. Saturday for Keshaun Williams.

The Cleveland Division of Police first issued a missing person alert Saturday morning for Williams. Williams, who also goes by Kee, was reported missing on June 20.

Williams’ mother Sherice Snowden spoke with FOX 8 Saturday afternoon regarding her missing child.

“I’m nervous, I’m fragile, I’m frantic,” Snowden said. “My child has never been away from me longer, he’s never been gone from home this long ever. This is hard — the not knowing where my child is. Not knowing if someone has him, if he’s not safe.”

Snowden said Williams first went missing after attending a house party on June 17 on Gertrude Ave. She says his location went off at Washington Park, but the SIM card was removed from his phone. Police later said he might have been kidnapped on June 23.

“Keshaun never misses church on Sunday,” Snowden said. “He never misses boxing practice. Always going to come home to eat, because he loves to eat. He would have text me; he would have called me.”

Police originally believed Keshaun may have been traveling in a black Jeep SUV with persons unknown, but confirmed late Saturday night the vehicle was not involved.

“This child is very loved, very loved, and were not letting up,” his mother said. “And I want my son to know if you see this I am not mad at you. When I see you, I’m going to hug you and hold you so tight. I want you to come home. Please if you see this Keshaun do not be scared. I promise you I just want you back home.”

I wonder if something happened at that party. It's certainly happened in cases before. One I remember was solved from decades ago. She went missing during a party. A guy was pressuring her. She resisted. He pushed her down the stairs. Dead. No body. He finally cracked. You get way too many people. Stupid people. Drunk. A certain amount underage. Fights break out. Now it's guns too. Something m8ght have happened there and spilled out from the party because someone got very angry. And they weren't going to let it go. It's a plausible theory. The problem is if that is the case. These are exactly the people who don't want to get involved, Or talk with LE. No matter how F***** UP THAT IS!
Most likely something happened at the party or night out, etc. and someone did something to him.

However, at this age, it is so very hard as he could be voluntarily missing or a mix of the two.

They said kidnapping and yet the car they the thought connected they then said was not.

Hard to read between the lines here.

All I can say is it has been a few weeks already and he has not been found and that is pretty worrisome.

There’s been quite a few cases where people went missing during a party.

I remember my cousin, who was older than me, telling me that he was at a party in the late 1960s and someone overdosed and everybody left. He said he felt guilty about that for the rest of his life because he never knew what happened to the person who had died.

You also have one very close to you.

Still missing: have you seen Keshaun Williams?

Have you seen Keshaun Williams?

The 15-year-old male was last seen June 17 after attending a party on Gertrude Avenue, in the city’s Broadway Slavic Village neighborhood.

There is a $2,000 reward for information that leads to the return of Williams.

This seems very odd to issue an an alert now. Almost 2 months later?. I personally have never seen that.

Are cops doing anything on this??!! Either they have suspects and are working quietly or they are doing nothing and not bothering to appeal for info and tips.

IMO. Something happened to him at that party. I've seen alot of cases like that where no one wants to get blamed, So people cover it up. And no one talks. And from what I see, Teenagers are more callous than ever.

I don't think it likely that whoever if anyone did something here that they are going to talk, or anyone is even for a reward. Jmo. It's a hard one to know since there is little on it but that's my guess on what there is. But again, that's very little.

CLEVELAND — Nearly three months have passed since Sherice Snowden last saw her only son, Keshaun Williams. As Snowden continues to plead for answers, she is also encouraging the community to help in any way they feel is best to bring her only son home.

“There’s some good people out here. I told everybody you know if they want to support, they’re more than welcome,” Snowden said. “I know that somebody out there is going to do the right thing and report him or return him.”

Snowden says one of the last days with her son was spent in the boxing ring at a sparring match in Cleveland.

“He’s very good at boxing,” she said. “He’s very close to Coach Ray. Coach Ray is like a role model for him as far as being a male role model. He’s teaching him discipline. He’s teaching him how to be a young man and how to have respect.”

Coach Ray Hamrick, one of three “Bar None Boxing Club” coaches at Earle B. Turner Recreation Center, met Williams about six months before Williams’ disappearance.

“His mom brought him to the gym saying that you know he wanted to learn how to box, and I was like well, come on,” he said. “His character showed more than just in the ring…he’s just a helluva kid…. We were just so happy with hopeful thoughts of a new future for him right and then this came.”

Hamrick refuses to back down from the fight to find the 15-year-old.

There’s not a day that goes by that I am not somewhere looking for him,” Hamrick said. “The tips I get, I follow them…I’ve had people call to the gym in the middle of practice. I’ll shut the gym down.”

Hamrick is not alone. After hearing Snowden’s cry for help, Elicia Smith paired up with Hamrick and started parking her food truck, Box ‘N D’vas Knockout Food Truck, in Cleveland neighborhoods to help search for Williams daily.

WHAT is LE doing here if anything?? Any facts? Any pressure on anyone??

I think the family needs to get someone on board with a broader reach and a lot of viewers. Get it more public, give them some info, and someone in their neck of the woods would be a good choice if there is someone. Names of people at the party? What kind of part was it? What happened there? How long did it go on and when did it start? Etc. And I don't mean some reporter who will give at best one short show on it.

WHO IS KNOWN to have last seen this boy? Etc.

Maybe LE needs some pressure? Or do they know and are just working on a case? Sure doesn't seem like it.

O.K. Then announce the efforts made so far. I don't see any. Amber Alert and an increased reward (disgusting) isn't. That's your job!

I agree. They probably only now talked because of recent talk or activity on it like the reward and maybe some reporter questioned them or they saw people online questioning just what if anything they are doing in this case.
