Philadelphia Police Searching For Missing 2-Year-Old King Hill

Philadelphia police are searching for a missing toddler. Police say 2-year-old King Hill was last seen at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday near 31st and Page Streets in the city’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.

Police say King was reported missing on Tuesday night by his stepfather.

Philadelphia Police Capt. Mark Burgmann says King was in the care of a babysitter, who told the stepfather that she returned King to his biological mother. Burgmann says the mother is disputing that claim.

“The biological mother is claiming that she did not return a child to her,” Burgmann said. “At this point in time, we have no idea where the child is. So we are very aggressively investigating this to find out where the child is.”

Burgmann says police believe King may be in danger.

Unfortunately I think that the answer to this is he probably isn't lost at all. Like you said earlier in this thread...One of the people in this sweet baby's life knows exactly where he is and is lying their *** off!
I know. It is making me really and truly irate...

Still trying to have hope as we had that one last week that was very similar and they found the other with the child... NOT ONE WORD THOUGH of any charge for her lying and worrying a lot of people!

Boy has this went quiet. I looked last night for updates and found one not too old but it really said nothing new so I did not post it..

I was...not expecting this, to be honest. It sounds like the babysitter may be responsible.

Missing 2-Year-Old King Hill Killed, Family Confirms

The search for 2-year-old King Hill has come to a tragic end. The boy’s mother says detectives confirmed Sunday the child was killed. He was first reported missing on July 7.

Police are not yet releasing any details on the developments, but King’s mother says detectives confirmed Sunday that her son was killed and that they believe they know who is responsible.

Ten days before King’s third birthday, his family received the horrible news that the missing toddler would not be coming home.

“We don’t even know where his body is, he’s just out there laying somewhere. We don’t know, and they said that we might never recover his body. Whatever they told her, my daughter did not want to hear no more,” said King’s grandmother, Kimberly Hill.

“I blame myself for even trusting my baby’s father with my son. I thought he was in good hands and he gave him to this woman, this woman I don’t know, that he knows. And now my son is deceased,” Amber Hill said.

Amber Hill says detectives and a representative from the district attorney’s office visited her Strawberry Mansion home Sunday to share the devastating update after a nearly two-week search.

“I can’t even get his body. Whatever she was doing to him, I can’t even get his body. It’s messing my whole family up. I just feel like this whole investigation was too long. I think they should have been incarcerated her,” Amber Hill said.

Police are not ready to reveal the identity of the person at the center of the investigation, but the toddler’s grandmother says the woman is an acquaintance of the boy’s stepfather.

“I’ll just pray for her. I don’t wish nothing bad on her, I don’t wish nothing bad on nobody because that’s not going to bring my grandson back. But I don’t want nothing to happen to her. I leave it to God. God will handle her,” Kimberly Hill said.

The family is very upset that an Amber Alert was never issued in King’s disappearance. His grandmother says police told her they had to know who King was with in order to issue an Amber Alert.

On a Sunday night, I sure did not expect this news when I saw you put up a post here. Wow. Usually on weekends there is little movement or news on any case...

Such a beautiful child. We could not know anything because three from all we knew were telling different stories. But in too many cases a babysitter is really a girlfriend, a wannabe girlfriend or a part time girlfriend... I would hope all know me well enough to know that is not a knock at women. It in some ways is a knock at the "dad" but he also was not the "dad". And one guess was if the sitter was a gf, she very likely had resentment against him (or her) having to watch a child that was not even his.

I hate being that cynical but case after case, etc., it is just not uncommon... I dislike "statistics" yet there is also fantastical where too many things have to work out for it to be something far more far fetched. Here, of course we also had a mom (not trying to knock her) that apparently was fine leaving her son with apparently a stepdad (who was not by marriage per SM truly a stepdad) for weeks on end...

King's grandma wanting nothing bad on her it sounds like (the "sitter") and she is then far better than I can be... Nothing will bring him back, God will handle things as she said but there is also justice allowed by God on earth by mankind if they are fortunate enough to get that justice from a fair system...

RIP King, just a baby. I get so tired of saying that, don't you? In some cases, I feel if they just had more help or somewhere to turn, sometimes it is major stress and no home, finances or help, and in others, I feel it would have made no difference if they had...

Don't know enough on this one but it seems for one thing that neither person likely involved here was a biological parent to this child... And where was his "real" dad? Did he do his part in supporting his child and helping? So many cases, maybe the answer to that is in this one, I can't recall.

MISSING PHILADELPHIA TODDLER, KING HILL, PRESUMED DEAD

King’s family told 6 ABC tonight that authorities came to their home in Strawberry Mansion today to inform them that they believe King is dead. The authorities also told King’s family that an arrest is pending, but officials said the boy's body had not been located yet.

“We don’t even know where his body is, he’s just out there laying somewhere, King’s grandmother, Kimberly Hill told CBS 3. “We don’t know, and they said that we might never recover his body. Whatever they told her, my daughter did not want to hear no more.”

Police have not publicly identified the suspect, but King's grandmother tells CBS 3 that the suspect is an acquaintance of the boy's stepfather.

Anyone else find it strange that they aren’t identifying the suspect? Could they be a minor? What other reason could there be, unless they just don’t have a strong case.

I woke up thinking about this news this morning and it occurred to me that these articles are only what the mother states she was told... Has anyone seen it confirmed by LE at all? Even LE confirming that they told her this?

To me it almost sounds like one of those vague what they think happened deals... And like they are working on it... I don't know. Just a thought.

I wonder if it is a "stirring" of the pot... The "suspect" hears this through the family putting it out in the news and panics she is about to be arrested... Maybe she talks to someone, moves the body, checks on it... Could that be what LE is doing?

Like you, I wondered if they know who did this and an arrest is imminent, then why the suspect cannot be named at this time... I think they probably suspect but don't have an entire case put together yet?

I would like to see LE confirm ANY of this from the mother... I don't believe they have?

A quick check on Philly PD FB shows nothing... I do see people under another case questioning about King but that's it... And those posts are at least a day old. Again I checked quickly not in depth...

Babysitter charged with murder in death of 2-year-old King Hill, Philadelphia police say

Tianna Parks, 24, of Philadelphia, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts, including murder, interference with the custody of children, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice.

Officials said an investigation led by Philadelphia police along with the FBI found cell phone and video evidence that concluded Hill, who was last seen on July 7 in Strawberry Mansion, is no longer alive.

I guess there is no point in asking for the umpteenth time in umpteen cases of WHY, WHY, WHY...

Going to guess people are already actively pursuing information on Tianna Parks.
No, it's not worth digging into. She was caught on video per the above article which is all I need to know.

Rest easy King 🙏

I just want to see the press conference which I have not found yet. As for details, I am sure they will be bad enough when court proceedings commence. I don't need to know them either or ever desire to in most cases. I would like to know a bit more about her. And I do hope he is found.
