Kyron's photo is shown age-progressed to 14 years. He was last seen at school on June 4, 2010. Kyron was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with "CSI" in green letters and a handprint graphic. He was also wearing black cargo pants, white socks, and black Sketchers sneakers with orange trim. Kyron may wear glasses.

Kyron was last seen in Portland, Oregon on June 4, 2010. He usually rode the bus to Skyline Elementary School, where he was a second-grader. The school is in the 11500 block of Skyline Boulevard in a rural area in northwest Portland, about two miles from Kyron's home in the 15700 block of Sheltered Nook Road.

His stepmother, Terri Lynn Moulton Horman, stated she drove him to school because there was a science fair that day and Kyron wanted to set up his exhibit, a display about the Red-Eyed Tree Frog. They arrived shortly after 8:00 a.m. and dropped Kyron's coat and backpack off at his classroom.

A witness saw Terri and Kyron together at 8:15 p.m., in front of Kyron's exhibit. The bell rang at 8:45 a.m. and Terri says she left then. She said Kyron told her he was going to his classroom. He has never been heard from again.

Terri reported Kyron missing at 3:45 p.m., after he failed to arrive home at 3:30 p.m. as scheduled. No one reported having seen Kyron at the school after the 8:45 bell. His teacher marked him absent after classes began at 10:00 a.m.; she thought he was at a doctor's appointment.

Because so many hours had passed since he was last seen, police launched an extensive search immediately. Over the next few days they interviewed all the students and staff at Skyline Elementary School and searched the school, school grounds and the surrounding area. It was one of the largest searches in Oregon history.

Kyron's loved ones described him as timid and stated he would be unlikely to leave the school and go off on his own.

Less than two weeks after Kyron's disappearance, police stopped the search and announced they had upgraded his case from a simple missing child to a criminal investigation.

At the same time, they stated they didn't think Kyron had been abducted by a stranger. They focused on Terri, stating cellular phone records indicated she wasn't where she said she was on the day of her stepson's disappearance.

Investigators questioned Terri's friend, DeDe Spicher, about her possible knowledge of Kyron's disappearance. They searched her home and asked the public if they had seen Terri, her white pickup truck or Spicher on June 4 between 9:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Spicher stated knew nothing about Kyron's disappearance and she believed Terri was innocent of any wrongdoing.

Authorities have yet to name a suspect in Kyron's disappearance, in spite of their focus on his stepmother. Kaine speculated Terri caused the child's disappearance in an effort to hurt him, and suggested she may have had help from other individual. Both of Kyron's parents continue to hope that he is alive. His case remains unsolved.

like @SheWhoMustNotBeNamed , I am pretty certain stepmom is responsible for his disappearance, but not set on it.

Her parking away from the main entrance has absolutely no bearing on my decision as we usually park away from the entrance to nearly any event so we don't get caught up in the mess of people and traffic. We also were far from the only ones that did that and we usually ended up walking in with others doing the same thing.

At the time he went missing, the technology was just starting to be cheap enough to be implemented in places like inside schools. At that time, if they had any, it was more for asset protection as in showing any theft and breakage of windows and doors. Exterior only mostly.
Even our city found it expensive to get cameras at that time. They’ve been so much more affordable as of late.

I don’t know what the area looks like when there is an event, and people are parking all over the place, but I would imagine that people were parked across the street and if so, you can easily see anyone parked on that piece of road. I don’t think that parking on that road was hiding anything. At all.

You probably couldn't see us from the main area, either but far from the only ones that parked there. The little extra walking was usually so worth it and we got home before the ones stuck in the parking lot from traffic trying to exit the parking lot. We walked most of the time when they were in elementary. It's a bit of a hike, but worth it. It's also a pretty walk through the park, along the creek and the edge of the woods.

I have not watched this but apparently it was streamed last week. The Facebook page for Kyron shared it yesterday.
First part is over 2 hours. Part two is 2.5 hours. Part three is 1.5 hours.

She does a very good job on all her videos and great research, etc.

I thought I shared at least two of three of these. I don't think I had time to go get the third one or watch them all.

She does great with all cases and another thing I like about her is she gets all documents in any case she can.

She is one of my regular watches although of course I don't get to watch all of her stuff or anyone's these days. I subscribe to her as she is very good. Likable too. Unflappable as well lol.

I am certain she had everything to do with it, too, but also understand that they do not have enough evidence to charge her.
I don't believe the reason would be that there isn't enough evidence, I think it'd be that what ever they have- or think they have- against her is weak and probably is contradicted by other facts and circumstances.

Trying her and having her aquitted would be even worse I agree. Can't forget Caylee Anthony. What a disaster. Hoping for a break in Kyron's case soon. For Desiree's sake, Kaine is an 🤬hole.

I've never heard of Kaine being a jerk before. Why is that?

I think 4 persons seeing Terri leaving with Kyron that day he went missing is pretty strong evidence. I am currently reading the book again, Desiree is a tough woman.
I do as well. I think it takes a lot of explanation and excuses for her that don't fly and make no sense and too many things to not lean heavily towards her. I wonder if they have looked hard at this again because many cases these days are being tried with a lot of circumstantial but a ton of it and even with no bod and getting convictions as it leads to logical conclusions beyond a reasonable doubt and they show nothing and no one else could have reasonably been the perp. Waiting makes memories poorer and people move or die (witnesses), etc. On the other hand I agree that if they roll the dice and lose, they have lost their one shot. It is sad that such is like roulette and gambling. But the longer times goes waiting for some miracle, I feel is not likely either and again, memories fade, people move or die, etc. and they lose their chance. Even if a body is found, what it would show is likely to be little, as to cause of death, etc.

I think though sad as it is there is no justice, his mom feels she knows who did it as do I think most of us.

For example, starting an affair with Terri while Desiree was pregnant, or promising to give Kyron back after her stay in Canada and keeping him instead . Or before Kyron vanished, not taking her concerns seriously about Terri psychlogically abusing him.
And there is more..
Just my opinion, source is the book by Rebecca Morris.

I'd forgotten about all that stuff. IIRC, Terri changed her name and is living in California.
