LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

I got into the interviewing with Becky Patty 1/2 hour late but watched all of the rest and will go back and watch the first half hour. Very glad I watched it.

I think I can find an option to watching or clicking Weineke or Motta, neither are my cup of tea. I did watch the video before thinking twice and they can be happy for the "click".

Check the website periodically many are large and may take time?

Grateful for the info things are out, however, I think I'll wait and not check them periodically as they suggest and which seems kind of an odd remark...

Richard Allen’s defense team files appeal in Delphi murders case

Attorneys for Richard Allen, the man who was found guilty of murdering Delphi teens Abby Williams and Libby German, have filed to appeal his conviction.

Allen was found guilty of murdering the girls on February 13, 2017. Following his conviction in December, he was sentenced to 130 years in prison, the maximum sentence allowed by Indiana law.

This comes a little over a month after Allen’s attorneys submitted a motion to correct errors. The motion details four alleged legal missteps that the defense feels are significant enough to warrant an overturning of the jury's verdict.

WRTV’s Kaitlyn Kendall spoke to Allen’s defense team, and they expressed frustration over the trial's proceedings and their belief that the girls' killer — or killers — remains free.

Defense attorneys Jennifer Auger and Andrew Baldwin believe crucial third-party evidence, which they argue could exonerate Allen, was excluded from the trial. Judge Fran Gull ruled there was no link between the suspects the defense wanted to bring to the jury's attention.

"This jury wanted to convict someone," Auger argued. "They feel that that's their job. And with no one else to point the finger to, I believe that had our third-party evidence come out, this would have ended differently."

The victim families believe no such thing. I don't either. That the killer/s are "free".

So Jennifer Au-zhayyyy and the one that can't keep his office and confidential sh*t intact well...

RA didn't have the DP or we'd maybe have different attys in place now. If I understand it right, DP attys and appeals are given, but others are not where it is a given or paid for?

I'd think another go fund me might be coming...

The interest after all of this time in this one has wanted big time just as Lori Lolo Dumbbell is starting to even though there is another trial coming.

Imo the right man was convicted here. And the Pattys have little doubt either and have only begun to talk.

Jmo. I did watch the video that was upside down and unfortunately gave a view to he wrong person. What it said to me was how Libby tried like heck to make it not obvious to RA. I DO think they had a sense of a real reason to be worried.

Tom already hadh something up last night. Just for me, I'm not watching the likes of Motta or the Weinke.

I'll only add that something on the sense of what I said above is that since this case is solved, a conviction has happened, after years of interest, it's quieted right down hasn't it? The D attys may be trying to drum some fame but the interest has majorly wanted. It's not getting channel interest.... There's new sh*t and cases... Personally I'm waiting for Lolo Daybell to go the same route... It's getting there...

All JMO and only MINE. It all is my personal solo opinion, directed towards no one.

I watched the released video. It hasn't changed my view that is RA in the video. It did make me very sad that was their last minutes before the abduction and murder.

I cannot see how it will help any appeal.

They had no evidence pointing to a third party being there so only RA who admitted being there. They cannot blame the jury as they followed the evidence. His bullet, his image on the bridge, his admissions he was there, his vehicle on video.

That's the only effect it had on me too, that this was what Libby was trying to do and not be seen doing it in their last moments. It saddened me beyond measure, I watched it a couple of times and suppose I sickly donated to their "clicks". I looked at not another thing though from them and went and found Tom instead.

Like always the D and their cohorts try to insinuate things are what they clearly are not and this exonerates no one but it's giving them their desired attn again. I find it pathetic as HE77 but at least it's not nude tragic pictures of children this time.

They disgust me as do their cohorts. Imo they should still be disbarred for good.

Sorry that I grabbed your post to say this, what I'm saying is just my opinion, so no one thinks I am speaking for anyone else.

On the plus side, they have to try to get attn back because interest is already waning since justice has been served and their cohorts and selves are trying to hang onto it and find it again... I'll consider my click a donation to the pathetic D and "friends".

It showed nothing more than what brought even more heartrending sympathy for these girls. Imo.

I "guess" it is news and they got it out there first... Bravo. Not. I had heard it explained by those that attended the trial and had to fight to stay awake and get seats, etc. It showed what they said it showed.

It does nothing for RA.

Again imo and jmo.

I've actually said and felt sorry for RA "choosing" to stay with these attorneys, and I never feel sorry for those I feel to be a guilty disgusting child killing murderer but he does and did have a right to a defense. I only wonder when he will get smart and start trying to ditch them. Seriously.

And with that, the D didn't make the splash they likely hoped for or their leaks and O crap did. I've been happy the girls got justice and only thinking of them and their families finally and the fact they can now talk and take a breath.

It's about them and not him.

RA and his attys are fading already. It's not the "hot" story any longer.

I'm waiting for Daybell and another one or two to do the same hopefully soon and the victims to be thought of instead of the wicked perps.

Jmo again. That's enough time in this thread or on them. I like the quiet justice brings but of course they don't and need to rear their heads again. I'm thinking of the girls and their families, it was a long time coming.

it is disgusting what everyone is doing online with this video..... they have the right guy and this is cold hearted to the girls families and friends

Tom was live tonight. I knew he would likely be at some point. He's saved my sanity in this case. More than once. He went to trial entirely without an opinion and came out convinced RA was guilty and he's not the only one I can name that did that. Regardless he's respectful of others other's opinions always. Sane.

I don't know personally how the D thought this would help anything.

In fact, I think it helps the P.

However, I don't watch the spin which it sounds like as always there has been. For instance the likes of Motta, I gave him and that channel a chance and it sure did not take me long to be done with it. Weineke I saw enough b.s. from for myself. May others knew who the first was before I did.

I am glad things are probably going to be released and Tom's show is a good balance and so fair always. He's maybe even a bit naive :) but he tells it as it is.

Scott/Crime Talk is good in others, Kohberger, Daybell, Read, more. He almost always airs live trials, has good mods even if he is not there, and a not that nasty chat because most are decent, mods keep on it etc.

I am always to each their own but the ones who fall for such spin scare me, and very decent people do and not just in this case...

Anyhow here's Tom. I think he's covered exactly two, maybe three crimes ever.

And he attended TRIAL and came to the conclusion as did a few others I can name that they have the right guy and RA did this who went in without opininion.. 12 jurors did as well.

I'm all for discovery, etc. coming out though. So long as orders aren't to seal and the D leaks and no more suicides, etc. happen or naked CHILDREN aren't show to the world. Arseholes. Jmo and I'm not about to change it.

Twist is a production company commissioned by ABC news.

Tom in his first minutes tells more of the facts than anyone else has....

I knew he'd bring sanity. Sometimes I think he's too fair though...
