So a camera(s) or witness did see her that day or more than one or a mix of both. That's helpful and good to know.

The ending time is a bit odd in wondering how they know but I guess it would have to mean they had sightings of her until that moment and that can only make me think someone saw her disappear, walk off, go with someone or camera coverage ran how many minutes and then she went out of frame, etc. It also wouldn't necessarily mean the mother was only gone 18 minutes, just that that's the last time anyone at all or a camera had sight of her, am I thinking right?

40 feet from their front door isn't very far but 18 minutes seems like a long time with no one watching or having sight of her.
I haven’t been able to find it, but I saw a video in which a neighbor said she saw Lina at the playground when she got home from work. She said that Lina and her daughter, also 3, play together.
She said that over the past 6 months, the complex was getting rough and (apparently, due to that) added that the playground has a 7 o’clock curfew.

Thank you, I never saw that. I did read apt. complex reviews and they are anything but good. So that neighbor saw her alone I wonder? Or with others?

I have to say it is doubtful a complex that sounds as this one does has cameras although individuals could have cameras or nearby housing, etc.

You’re welcome!
About cameras, with a timeline window to the minute, I think there must be one somewhere...right?

I’m still searching for that video and while doing so, I came across a YouTube video I found enlightening, informative and I recommend it. (Now, despite being shown how) I still can’t manage to link using my phone, but the video is titled ‘Missing Texas Girl Lina Sardar Khil, Ezat Speaks On Lina’s Age, GoFundMe, Family, Dress & More’.

I agree, it really sounds like with a how many minute parameter that they have quite possibly a camera somewhere that had her in frame or in and out of it for that time period. Hopefully then they know far more than we think.

I watch him once inawhile but haven't got to see all recently, he is a good Youtuber, informative, pretty professional, down to earth and not too sensationalistic. Do you mean this one?

Yeah, that’s the one!
I’m not familiar with the Youtuber, but based on this one video, I’d definitely be interested to watch another one from him.

Specially trained K9 joins the search for missing 3-year-old Lina Khil
A small army of volunteers searched wooded areas in the Medical Center early Wednesday afternoon, looking for any sign of Lina Khil. The three-year-old girl has been missing for nine days.

It was amazing to see dozens of people show up to the wooded area; many of them retired law-enforcement, concerned parents, or folks who are just touched by this story.

Lina’s father gave us one of Lina‘s dresses, so we could get it to a very special K9 unit leading the search. A 5-year-old Belgian Malinois named “Bak” is trained to search for people who are alive - and also for cadavers. Hopefully, the dog can use the scent from the dress to find Lina, or maybe a discover a clue that might help lead to where she is.

“He’s pretty amazing. There was an elderly gentleman who was missing for two weeks and we had floods and rains - and he was able to pick up his track. So there’s no telling, but it is not going to hurt to try,” explained Tammy Johnson from K9 Search and Rescue,

Behind the dog, the group of volunteers slowly walked in a straight line through tall grass and difficult terrain, looking for anything suspicious or out place.

The search area is about a mile from the apartment where Lina went missing. It’s outside the area San Antonio Police are currently searching. That’s so the volunteers can expand the total search area.

The group that organized this volunteer search is called Search and Rescue SATX. If they don’t find anything, they’ll put an update on their Facebook page as to where they would meet up next. It’s a private Facebook group, so you have to request membership.

I think he is one of the few covering this case so far too. He does lives generally but often I don't catch them until after when I replay them. He is good with his equipment, I think intelligent with his comments and fair and puts together a pretty decent show. And doesn't go too far down rabbit holes etc. :)

San Antonio advertising company donates 100 missing person banners in hopes of finding 3-year-old Lina Khil

The Creative Mango, a San Antonio advertising company, is donating 100 missing person banners with a picture of 3-year-old Lina Khil in hopes of finding the child.

“We’re donating 100 banners free of cost to anyone who wants to come pick one up so they can hang up at their storefront or their residential home,” said Marco Garcia, owner of The Creative Mango.

Garcia said his company had already printed out about 45 banners and will continue to print more.

Garcia said making the banners and giving them out free of charge is the least he could do.

I found the video of the neighbor who said she saw Lena; it’s titled ‘Parents worried about the safety of their own children after Lina Khil, 3, vanished from playground’.
Now having re-watched it, it’s interesting for me to see which info I remembered, how I remembered it and what I didn’t remember...but surely, I must have “tuned out” when the reporter came back on and reported that there are no cameras at that complex. Seriously, I must have figured she wouldn’t say anything I hadn’t already heard. Well, lesson learned!

I knew or heard there were no cameras, however, they still could have something from somewhere else nearby and/or I don't know if an apartment complex lets residents put up their own cameras or ring doorbells, but there could be some independent camera, a nearby house or business camera, a traffic cam, etc. or something. That 18 minute window sure sounds like it might be camera coverage. OR they are trying to worry a perp that they have camera footage...

10 days. :(

Volunteers from across Texas join together to search for missing Lina Khil
It's been 10 days since three-year-old Lina Khil went missing.

More than 100 volunteers are searching throughout the Northwest Side looking for any sign of the little girl.

There are volunteers who came from all over the state to join in the search. That's how much reach this story has, there's so many people who want to know where Lina is.

Organizing the search to cover as much ground as they can, Search and Rescue SATX is diving neighborhoods around the apartment where Lina went missing.

They're hoping by the end of the day, they'll be able to have searched a five-mile circumference around the apartment complex on Fredericksburg Road.

Once again, they will be walking through wooded areas, tall grass, likely homeless encampments, going through apartment complexes and as many private properties they'll be allowed to search after asking for permission.

There is still a $150,000 reward for any information to Lina's location.

What is anyone's opinion here on this case? Other than of course it is likely it is or was someone who lives in the complex, etc. I know we don't have much info but does anyone think the cops do have a suspicion, they did say they are looking at a few, etc. Do we think they have anything at all? Does anyone feel it may be the parents? I don't think that or have any reason to think so one way or the other. The father was quite upset, I will say that. A stranger abduction?

I think although she or her remains may have been taken elsewhere, that the answer lies in the complex and someone there is responsible most likely but that's all I have and it is just the likelihood based on what little we do know.

I would like to know if the mother thought others were watching her or if the mother had her eye on her from where she was, etc. or why she did not go right back out. Did she trust she was okay and being watched? Sad as it may be, sometimes people or a young parent can be too trusting or just naive. Hindsight teaches. Scares teach. Coming from a different world or generation of when things were safer and different can have one feeling people are decent and things are safe, etc.

This one bothers me. They all do of course.

This has the 'feel' of opportunistic so I'm not leaning towards the parents. I wonder if there is a language barrier or a fear of immigration. Otherwise, I'm stumped.

I think language and culture has resulted in not easily understanding some things. I note out there that it is still debated what age this child is as well. It does seem opportunistic but in the sense to me that someone who lives there saw her left alone or was one of the ones out there. It seems like if others were around or out there with their children as the mother said that it was someone around or nearby, meaning some stranger did not drive up or drive by imo. I think it is if not someone in the complex (most likely), someone in nearby housing, etc. I am very unclear about the confusion maybe in translation of if she saw her walk down a pathway or into the building or what that is all about. Also if the mother was gone 18 minutes, that bothers me. Was she?

The thing that sticks is in the reviews when I read them, someone was majorly upset about screaming children at all hours of the day and night in hallways, untended, or something like that. The review was dated before this happened but I don't recall when but not real old I don't think. Meaning nothing unkind, did this family have children who were loud, and lived underneath or above someone that said this, felt like this or got no peace living there? Of course a person can complain about such a thing and it doesn't mean they would ever hurt a child so I"m not saying it relates.

The other part is this place has terrible reviews and awful conditions in the apartments, etc. the way it sounds. It would be I think very stressful for residents, parents and even this family when trying to take care of children, keep things clean, etc. when there are bed bugs, roaches, infestations... What I mean is I know what it would do to me and take someone, maybe a resident, already iffy or on edge who can't control their actions always and add such circumstances....

That's all I've got and it's no answer but is what stands out for the little we know. I have no reason to be sure but I feel LE has a sense of what occurred. They do have a window of time... They are very centered on the complex but I guess that's not unusual to be sure...

I am sure that with as popular as doorbell cameras are now, there are bound to be a few in nearly every complex by now.

You would think so but I've never seen one in our complex. It is attaching something in the shared/public hallway and I'm honestly unsure if that is allowed.

I know many people that live in apartments that have them. It's no different than some people having a wreath or other door decoration with some models.
It could be but you'd maybe be surprised at some of the regulations depending on the complex. My sister just moved into one and wow, the rules amaze me compared to our rules. Same state, different town but not all that far but maybe an hour or 45 minutes. I would about bet they could not put anything up or outside their door.
