A mother in Orange County is begging for help locating her missing daughter.

Madeline ‘Maddie’ Soto was last seen on Monday, one day after she and her family celebrated her 13th birthday. Maddie’s mother, Jenn Soto, said surveillance video shows Maddie hanging out in a church parking lot on February 26 after being dropped off for school, but she never made it inside.

"I’m trying to hope for the best, but I’m scared for her," said Jenn Soto. "I want her to be okay; I want her to be safe… I don’t want her to come back harmed. I just want her back – whatever that means, I just want her back."

Jenn Soto said sheriff’s deputies are using K9s and a piece of Maddie’s clothing to try to track her scent near Town Loop Boulevard.

According to Jenn Soto, Maddie had never run away before. She said the teen had forgotten her cell phone at home that morning, but that was normal.

As of Wednesday morning, a variety of search teams are out searching for Maddie.

She was never dropped at school believed to be dead prior. He was dumping things in that dumpster that early more and more.

 
They found her laptop and backpack in garbage.

She was never taken to school but was already dead. He was throwing stuff at 7 something that morning. At 8 something he came back to complex and Madeline can be seen in car but belived to be DEAD in car. Kissimmee PD is taking over based on findings rather than the county. They believe he was moving her body in the early morning hours already dead,, and disposing of items.

Beleive she was killed in Kissimmee.
 
I am sorry but where was mom?? When she was killed, when she supposedly was taken to school, before school when she was already dead?

Here is my advice these days, if you don't make it with your children's father and that is bad or doesn't work out and you have children to raise, just commit to NEVER getting involevd again until your children are raised and on their own. NEVER.
 
There was proof of him sexually assaulting a child in their Kissimee home on is phone. That it sounds was the basis for that/arrest charge. My bet is it was Madeline and the sick F filmed what he was doing!
 
I'd want to live in the woods too if I were here and had her life. What say you mom?! It would SEEM all of this went on under your own nose in your APARTMENT. Her assault, hter murder, the disposing of her things and her and perhaps who knows yet, years of assaults.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina announced Friday that the search for missing 13-year-old girl Madeline Soto has transitioned to a recovery effort. Read live updates below:

1:20 p.m. update

Orange County Sheriff John Mina said during a Friday afternoon news conference that although detectives have not located missing 13-year-old Madeline Soto, he is confident that she is dead.

He said efforts are now focused on recovering her body, and the Kissimmee Police Department will take the lead on what is now a homicide investigation.

Mina said Stephan Sterns -- the boyfriend of the girl’s mother -- never dropped her off near her school Monday morning as he had claimed.

Detectives instead believe Sterns killed Soto on Monday morning in Kissimmee and was moving her body.

At about 7:35 a.m. Monday, surveillance video showed Sterns discarding items in a dumpster at the Kissimmee apartment complex where the family lives, Mina said.

He said investigators later discovered Soto’s backpack in the dumpster.

At 8:19 a.m. Monday, video shows Sterns returning to the complex with Madeline visible in the car, Mina said.

“We believe she was already dead,” he said. “We believe he moved her body in those early morning hours.”

Mina said Soto’s mother is not considered a suspect in the case.
 
And the sick F got on TV and pled for her safe return.

Then what I believe the arrest affidavit has some much redacted but pretty graphic sexual contact which would lean one to belieev he filmed varous sexual acts with a child and my gues is it was her. And him. Not hard to read between the lines despite the redactions. Focus and acts involving childs breasts, mouth, the V and the A is as nicely as I can put it.

I need to quit following these cases. What I take to be his P is described as to how they know I suspect that it was him assaulting the child.
 
So was he assaulting her all along or just on her 13th birthday. I'd guess far longer. He had stuff on his phone relating to children at least (her?) to 2022 I think it was said. IF it was all along why NOW kill her? Was she going to tell? Was she pregnant? If he had been SAing her for some time, something triggered this murder imo. Did she say no? Fight back?

Something i watched said she started out saying "we took her to school" or something on that order and then corrected herself and said he did. Is that true does anyone know?

They lived in an apartment. I'd like to know how many square feet. You coudln't do that to soemone in my apartment without me ever having a clue. NO WAY.

MADELINE SOTO’S BODY HAS BEEN FOUND. At about 4:30 p.m. today, off of Hickory Tree Road, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office search teams located the body of Madeline Soto in a wooded area. Madeline’s family has been notified. We have no additional information to release at this time. Kissimmee PD is the lead agency in this homicide investigation. That work continues.

just saw this. dammit. we knew it was coming but i just did not expect to see this just now. came in thinking just a new post.

DAMMIT. I want to use worse really badly right now WORDS.

i didn't have hope so not sure why so struck and surprised. every single thing indicated it. just guess i didn't think this would come now or even todaiy. unexpected.

i guess it is good. Found is always good. Alive is better by far.

I am of an age thank God I am not raising kids in this world today. I can only say people who are had better pay attention. I just heard of fundraising at school where kids raised funds licking/sucking toes. NOT KIDDING. AT SCHOOL.

Sure every generation parents are behind where kids face new things and new issues. The 60s/70s with drugs, we can name it through every generation. It NEVER gets better though, only worse. Always. It spirals more and more out of control or normalcy.

I THANK GOD I am not raising children nowadays.

I saw enough in the years I was. Including the b.s. in schools and how it had gotten.

I don't want to but again I'd like to come back in 20 or 40 years to see just how bad because most don't give a sh*t. And that alone is the scariest thing these days. Not my dog, not my fight.

I looked at a LOT on this case today.

I have YET to hear if this man has a prior record.
