DORENA, Ore. -- Search efforts have grown to find 27-year-old Michael Bryson who went missing early Wednesday morning.

Bryson was camping at the Hobo Camp Campground with friends last week when he wandered away from the site Wednesday morning and that was the last time he was seen.

The search is not isolated to just the campground and surrounding areas. Friends have deployed into cities all over western Oregon looking for any leads that could point them to where he might be.

His family said the longest they've ever gone without hearing from him is two days.

"It's very rare that five days in he would not have reached out to mom, dad, or sister," his uncle said.

The effort to find Bryson has grown beyond just those who knew him.

A facebook group with more than 2,000 members is dedicated to finding the young man.

The man's dad said Bryson doesn't know a stranger. He said his son was kind and friendly to everyone he met. He said he hopes that's the energy that brings him home.

A $10,000 reward is available for any information leading to his discovery, all which was donated to fuel efforts to find him.

A lot of folks around here are learning about what happened to Dylan Rounds, thanks to his mom's organization offering to help search for Michael! I hope they find him soooo much! Not only will it bring him home to his family, friends and community, but it will help Candice's organization be recognized for helping families of missing persons and I know that means the world to Candice.

I hope they get some answers.

I have a feeling the body was taken away from that area and buried in another area. Hopefully, I'm wrong and they'll find him.

Candace caught a lot of flack for coming down on LE after her son disappeared. I'll be honest and I said a bit about it and so did others here. I understood it but also knew or felt you have no choice and you go along with them and do as they ask and trust them at a time it is the last thing that seems natural to you, when you want answers, and charges. She reminds me of Kaylee's dad in the Idaho 4 who also has had flack for not agreeing or understanding the ways of LE. At a time when patience is the LAST thing you have after the most horrific thing befalls you, your loved one and your family. It's a gap that needs to be bridged imo.

But look at Candace. She GOT those answers she got THOSE charges and she GOT a conviction and is now helping others in the name of her son. How anyone can't admire her, I have no idea. And when hearing this was a case they were going to try to help on, even better!

I too don't lean towards he just wandered off and died and they simply haven't found him. Of course it is possible but there is just too much concealing and hinkiness. I hope they find him first and foremost, but no matter what, it's a great partnership for these two families to come together and only good can come from that.

Graffiti on County Jail Wall in Oregon Raises Questions in Unsolved Michael Bryson Case

In the early hours of November 3rd, 2024, graffiti appeared on the exterior wall of the Lane County Jail in Eugene, Oregon, reigniting public interest in the case of missing Oregon man Michael Bryson. This development follows a recent article we posted about K9 teams searching for Michael, which can be found here. The message, scrawled boldly in yellow chalk, reads: "Blaize Powers Knows What Happened 2 Michae Bryson (Kassiah/Kaleah)." Notably, the "L" in Michael was oddly missing, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the message. The cryptic graffiti, presumably left the night before on November 2nd, is a poignant reminder of Bryson’s case, which has haunted the local community and his loved ones since his disappearance in 2020.

The graffiti has raised questions in the community, with speculation on social media regarding who might be responsible and whether the message offers a genuine clue or is simply a tasteless stunt. It’s not the first time Bryson’s name has resurfaced in unexpected ways, as supporters have posted flyers, shared social media campaigns, and even conducted independent search efforts in hopes of finding him or gaining new information on his case.

In an effort to uncover more about this graffiti incident, Lane County Mugshots, a popular Facebook group that has been active for about 10 years, reached out to local law enforcement for a statement. The group has frequently discussed the Bryson case, keeping the story alive in the community and providing a platform for updates and information. Michael Weber, representing Lane County Mugshots, sent an email to Sgt. Tim Wallace of the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, asking if there were any suspects, surveillance footage, or if anyone had been cited in connection with the graffiti. Sgt. Wallace’s response, while brief, underscores the seriousness of the situation. He stated:

"Our detectives are investigating the incident. As this relates to an active missing person case, there is no additional info that I can release at this time."

At present, there are no known suspects for the graffiti incident, and it remains unclear if the act was captured on any security cameras. The lack of suspects and the continuing mystery surrounding Bryson’s disappearance have left the community wondering if the message holds any real significance or if it’s another dead end in the search for answers.

So on a jail wall is pretty darned bold. No cameras around a jail or enough of them or what? Article says there is no L at end of his name but there is an up and down line and something more. Small L then a chalk mark...?

And could be a prank of course but on a jail wall? Are any county inmates allowed to help keep the grounds, etc...? One thought....

Draw a blank on whether we should know who Blaize Powers is but the two names at the end in parentheses are the "twins" aren't they? Pretty certain on that. And is that meant to be I wonder added that they also KNOW, or is it meant to mean this was written and signed by them?

Who knows but I'd THINK LE could figure this out pretty fast, it was on their own facility outdoor wall...

One thought I had right out of the gate on reading this is IS there a Blaize Powers in county, that wants to come up with a story that he has info to get help or a deal on his charges and to get out of jail or being prosecuted for something else? And this is a way by him or a buddy to get cops to deal with him? Not probably the case but just saying some inmate following or knowing the case or chitchat claiming to have knowledge he doesn't have...

Who knows, I'd say just a prank but on a county outside wall. SMH.

I think the key thing is who is Blaize Powers. Anyone know? If ever mentioned in the case, I don't recall the name but then I took in a lot on this one back when reading hundreds of not thousands of FB posts.

I don’t know who that is, but I do know that girls’ names on the other part of it. They were at the party. Interesting. The grapevine hasn’t got around to me yet so this is the first time I’ve heard of it.

Same. Girls are familiar. His name, not sure if I should know or shouldn't but isn't ringing bells. Assuming Blaize is a male, who knows these days, and it has an "I" in it.

I also can’t imagine there aren’t cameras around there. But was that little spot away from the cameras? I have cameras all around my house. If somebody started writing on it, I would know.

There's a camera right above it. Whether it actually works or not is another issue or if the person was dressed totally covered.

Would also depend on angle and type of camera. My guess is they are going to quickly find who did this or already know but could be wrong and whether we ever hear it from LE, I wouldn't count on.

Someone wants a "Blaize Powers" looked at whether the person has any connection to this case or not, definitely trying to cause him issues or get him attn as the case may be.

I'm not putting much faith in it as meaninful of anything and I still find it interesting it was written on the exterior wall of the county jail.

Still lean to it is related to an inmate or some such.

It appears there is a "Blaize Powers" that hangs out with the crowd. I don't know if he was at Hobo's Camp at the time, however. It could mean he made his girlfriend mad and it's to get back at him, for all we know at this time.

He doesn't appear to be an inmate there right now: SelectListItems - Web Jail Viewer

Yeah, don't do something illegal with your girlfriend, unless you're positive you're gonna marry her and keep her happy. I don't know how many murder documentaries I've seen where the ex-girlfriend blows her ex-boyfriend in.
