Search continues for missing and endangered 5-year-old in Fruitland, Idaho

Michael Vaughn was last seen near SW 9th Street and S. Arizona Ave. in Fruitland on Tuesday evening. Crews and neighbors were out all day looking for the boy.

The search for a missing 5-year-old-year-old boy intensified Wednesday as it entered its second day.

Michael Vaughn was last seen near SW 9th Street and S. Arizona Avenue in Fruitland around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Fruitland Police Department said Michael is considered missing and endangered.

Michael is about three feet, seven-inches tall and weighs 50 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. He answers to the nickname "Monkey."

Michael was wearing a light blue shirt with a Minecraft picture on it, dark blue boxer briefs and sandals.

Idaho Mountain Rescue brought in highly-trained and rescue personnel to assist in the search.

Crews from multiple agencies searched the area near Michael's home by ground and air by drone and helicopter. They also went door to door, talking with neighbors.

Right next to the boy's home is a field where crews spent much of the day searching for him.

Neighbors say they learned about his disappearance about an hour after he was reported missing. They say Michael is a happy kid who lives with his parents and grandfather.

Cynthia Walker was walking her dog as the search was happening.

"At five years old, I don't know that he would wander too far without one us seeing him by now," she said. "There are volunteers, many, many volunteers out searching, scanning the fields and we just want to have Michael back, we just want him home safe."

Does that mean the information about Michael being in her backyard is all a figment of her imagination?
I don't think they were going by her statements as She also said. They also seem as sure or intent on thinking he is there as any search I've seen yet. Or at least that something is or was there. We know it takes some fair evidence and reasons to get a warrant.

I think/pray they are finally onto something in this case but hard to say what evidence if any, they have or will find.

Didn't info come from someone in the home that was not this woman?

It did. Who only knows who supposedly killed him. I think they're on point committing her. I feel bad for her.

So do you think she's completely innocent?
As much as I want them to maintain the integrity of this case, I really want to see the indictment. I feel like they have to have SOMETHING to have actually charged her. I just really hope it isn't a "he-said / she-said" thing where someone is accusing her from behind bars. I don't personally think they would be able to have enough for a search warrant and legal charges based on only that...

I don’t know if she is or not. But I'm fairly convinced she has some serious issues.

I would think if you killed a kid (or had intimate knowledge of it happening) and tried to stuff that info inside yourself for this long, it could definitely cause some mental damage to yourself. My question would be did the mental issues precede his disappearance or caused it or if the mental issues had anything to do with the incident.

I recently after asking about it in the past month or so made a point of looking and saw some by the bathroom etc., not at the entrance and they were tiny, not pointed out like in a big way,, etc. Jsut a big thing with teeny pictures on it. Might have been near the vision center, don't recall. But it would never like STOP you for your interest to look closer nor would you ever necessarily notice it on a trip to WM.
LOL. I'm sorry, But tiny pictures by the vision center. They need to go back to the old way. I looked at them very often. They were full sized posters. Before they put in claw machines and stupid "Red Box". That's more important.

Walmart used to name and recognize their employees in their ads as well. I think everything went downhill when the founder died and his kids, etc. took over who seem to be about nothing but making more and more money.

All I know is someone isn't managing it very well at all. Aside from that stuff disappearing, they are now about the priciest store around imo. It is ridiculous the people that haven't realized that yet.

FFS! If she was so unstable why was she allowed to be free in society?. I'm sick of this crap. I don't mind saying, Some of these defendants when their attorney says what mental challenges they have. I do too! And they say what meds they take and the dose. And I take MORE! Excuses.
Wow. :(
