An associate of Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested on Monday, the same day two of the Bad Boy Records founder's homes were raided by Homeland Security Investigations agents.

Former Syracuse University basketball player Brendan Paul was arrested by Miami-Dade Police Department officers at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on felony charges for possession of suspected cocaine and possession of suspected marijuana candy, an arrest affidavit obtained by USA TODAY states. The arrest was made as a result of a joint effort with Miami-Dade, the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection, per the affidavit.

"The defendant had the contraband inside of his person travel bags, which he claimed prior to being searched," the affidavit states. Upon testing, officers determined the substances were cocaine and edibles.

He was released on a $2,500 bond on Tuesday and has a hearing set for April 24. Attorney information was not available for Paul.

Paul is referred to as Combs' "mule" in Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones Jr.'s civil lawsuit against the Bad Boy founder and Cuba Gooding Jr. for sexual assault and harassment.

In an amended lawsuit filed in a New York federal district court by Jones on Monday, he refers to Paul as Combs' "mule," writing that he allegedly "procured, transported and distributed ecstasy, cocaine, GHB, ketamine, marijuana, mushrooms, and tuci by packing these substances in their carry-on luggage and going through TSA."

Tuci is described in the lawsuit as "a pink drug that is a combination of ecstasy and cocaine."

Sean “Diddy” Combs, a rapper and music mogul credited with helping launch the careers of some of the biggest stars in recent years, is now facing multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual abuse and rape.

Combs, formerly known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy and a host of other names, has undergone a myriad of reinventions since the start of his career – but has since entered a new and unwelcome “era.”

Federal agents with US Homeland Security raided two of the rapper’s houses in Los Angeles and Miami on 25 March as he faces a string of varying accusations.

Combs, 54, has strongly denied all of the allegations against him. His attorneys have branded the lawsuits and their accusations as money grabs, “baseless” or “sickening.”

The entertainer has not been formally charged or accused by federal prosecutors of any crime.

The new lawsuits come months after Combs’s former partner, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed a lawsuit against him in November. She accused him of raping her in 2018, beating her, demanding she carry a firearm to “make her uncomfortable and demonstrate how dangerous he is” and forcing her into “unwanted sexual encounters with male sex workers.”

Ms Ventura’s lawsuit against Combs was settled a day after she filed it for an undisclosed amount of money.

The slew of allegations in lawsuits against Combs date as far back as the 1990s, when he founded his own record label, Bad Boy Records.

All the allegations against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs:

Lawsuits against the rapper began on 16 November 2023 when he was sued by singer and dancer Cassie, his former partner, who alleged years of abuse.

It was filed under the New York Adult Survivors Act, just before it expired. This act offered a one-year window for adult victims of sexual assault to come forward with civil claims regardless of the statute of limitations.

Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura

R&B singer Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, filed a lawsuit in 2023 alleging that she was trafficked, raped and beaten by Combs on many occasions over 10 years.

Her lawsuit claimed that Combs brought the singer into his “ostentatious, fast-paced, and drug-fueled lifestyle” not long after she met him, and signed her to his label in 2005 when she was just 19 and he was 37.

Ms Ventura said that the pattern of abuse began as soon as their relationship started and that, as she was trying to end it in 2018, he forced himself into her Los Angeles home and raped her.

The lawsuit against Combs was settled a day after she filed it for an undisclosed amount of money.

Ms Ventura told CNN she had chosen to “resolve this matter amicably,” while Combs’ attorney said the settlement was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing” and didn’t change his denial of the allegations.

Her accusations against Combs were brought through the New York Adult Survivors Act (ASA), which expired at midnight on 23 November 2023.

The act provided survivors a one-year window to pursue civil litigation regardless of when the abuse occurred, meaning incidents from decades were finally brought to light.

More than 2,500 cases were filed under the ASA before its expiry at midnight on 23 November 2023, court data sent to The Independent showed.

Survivors brought lawsuits against some of the state’s most powerful men, including major players in entertainment, such as Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Axl Rose, and Combs.

Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones

In the most recent lawsuit against Combs, filed on 26 February 2024 in New York, producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, alleged he was “subjected to unwanted advances by associates of Diddy at his direction” and that he was forced to engage in relations with the sex workers Combs had hired.

The producer, who worked for Combs between September 2022 and November 2023 claimed Combs sexually harassed, drugged and threatened him for more than a year.

He said he has video and audio evidence of Combs, his staff and others “engaging in serious illegal activity.”

The lawsuit also alleges that Combs regularly hosted “sex-trafficking parties” with underage women and illegal drugs, and implies record label executives who looked the other way financially benefited from access to celebrities and dignitaries, including the British royal Prince Harry.

Prince Harry is not accused of any wrongdoing or of attending parties himself.

Combs’s attorney told The Los Angeles Times that the lawsuit contains “reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not” occur.

Ryan Mendelsohn, 20, who used to live in the area where Combs’ Los Angeles property was searched, told reporters he would see parties at the home and women outside until 6am, which was not usual.

“I drive by a lot, and I see that — a lot of girls, maybe five or six girls outside, some leaving, some not, some going in,” he said, according to NBC News.

“I never thought anything of it,” Mr Mendelsohn, who added that he did not know Combs lived there until Monday’s news broke. “But now, it’s crazy.”

Joie Dickerson-Neal

In November 2023, Joie Dickerson-Neal filed a lawsuit alleging that Combs drugged her, sexually assaulted her and secretly recorded the assault while she was a college student in 1991, NBC News reported, citing the filing.

She claimed that Combs pushed her to go to dinner with him and she agreed “reluctantly” on 3 January 1991, which is when she alleges she was drugged, “resulting in her being in a physical state where she could not independently stand or walk,” the BBC reported.

The suit also claims he recorded the assault and showed it to other people.

She later filed police reports in New York and New Jersey, spoke to prosecutors, but was told by colleagues they were “terrified that Combs would retaliate against them and that they would lose future business and music opportunities if they made a statement in support of” her, NBC News reported, citing the lawsuit.

More women come forward

Since November, three more women have come forward with lawsuits in the Southern District of New York alleging that they were sexually assaulted by Combs, according to NBC News.

Two of the women said they were teenagers at the time of the alleged assaults.

Anonymous Plaintiff

In November, an anonymous plaintiff accused Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall of raping her and a friend in 1990 or 1991 after meeting at an MCA Records event in New York, where the singers “were very flirtatious and handsy” and offered them drinks, Rolling Stone reported.

The suit alleges that Combs and Hall invited the women to Hall’s apartment for an afterparty where the plaintiff “was offered more drinks and was coerced into having sex with Combs,” and was “shocked and traumatized” afterwards, before “Hall barged into the room, pinned her down and forced Jane Doe to have sex with him,” according to Rolling Stone.

After she spoke to her friend, the plaintiff allegedly found out she had also “been forced to have sex with Combs and Hall in another room,” according to the suit.

A few days later, Combs allegedly visited the plaintiff and her friend at a home where they were staying, where he became “irate and began assaulting and choking Jane Doe to the point that she passed out,” the lawsuit alleges.

Unnamed Accuser ‘Jane Doe’

In December, Combs was hit with another lawsuit which claimed he had drugged and gang-raped a 17-year-old girl in 2003.

The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, accused Combs of plying her with drugs and alcohol at his New York studio and then raping her along with two associates.

The suit accused Combs of a “sex trafficking scheme,” in which Jane Doe was flown by private jet from her home in Michigan to New York.

Combs’s response to allegations

Sean Combs has strongly denied all the accusations against him and vowed to “fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

In a statement in December, following the lawsuit brought by Jane Doe, he called the claims “sickening” and said his accusers were “looking for a quick payday”.

“Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged,” he said in a statement. “I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Combs’ lawyer, Shawn Holley, branded the events described in the lawsuit as “pure fiction”.

“We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies,” he said. “We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”

Following the settlement with Ventura, Ben Brafman, another attorney for Combs, told The Independent: “Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing.

“Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims.

“He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms Ventura the best.”

50 Cent's ex-girlfriend and the mother of one of his children was named as a sex worker in the multi-million-dollar lawsuit filed against hip-hop legend Diddy by a music producer. Earlier this week, there was news of a 'military-level force' raid linked to a sex trafficking investigation at Diddy's residences.

50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, was the sole prominent music figure to comment on this shocking development. Diddy is facing multiple sexual assault lawsuits, including one filed by producer Rodney 'Lil Rod' Jones. In that suit, Jones alleges that Daphne Joy, who dated 50 Cent from 2010 to 2013, of being someone whom Diddy regularly paid for sex.

In 2012, Joy, a well-known OnlyFans model, welcomed her son, Sire, with 50 Cent, who is now 11. Following their breakup, Joy accused him of being physically abusive, an allegation that the singer known as 'Fiddy' refuted, the Daily Mail reported.

Since then, 50 Cent has often commented on a rumored relationship between Diddy and Joy. The "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" star has also been vocal on social media, commenting on his rival rapper and the wave of lawsuits that pose a threat to Diddy's empire.

"Now it's not Diddy do it, it's Diddy done they don't come like that unless they got a case," 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, tweeted, this week.

The "In Da Club" singer has also pledged to fund a documentary exploring the allegations.

What am I missing?
Oh sorry @RoundPeg. Explanation from my perspective: 50Cent has been dropping subtle innuendo against Diddy for a long time. Now it's connected to his (50cent) baby mama. Much more to come....IMHO

The Hip Hop/Rapper world is very compact, connections wise. Record executives have been named in these civil law suits. I'm still wondering why HSI (Homeland Security) was involved in the "raids". Hmm.

I tend to avoid these "famous" cases with people of fame but I have read this. And I'd just add it is a very small, small world isn't it. That was perfect. I sometimes keep up enough not biy choice always but by watching a show on one crime whether others or other news come up or people are talking of it.

Just totally off the wall here but considering the alleged crimes, the fact last real name is Jackson well it seems fitting or ironic with people of fame...

It's a Small World.

We Are the Children....

Not saying any connection but boy...

UMG and Lucian Grainge Blast Lawyer For Adding Them to Diddy Sex Abuse Lawsuit: ‘Recklessly False'

Story by Bill Donahue
• 20h

Attorneys for Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge fired back at a lawsuit that claims he and the label "aided and abetted" Sean "Diddy" Combs in his alleged sexual abuse, saying the accusations are so "offensively false" that they plan to seek legal penalties against the lawyer who filed them.

In a motion to dismiss all claims against UMG and Grainge, the label's lawyers blasted attorney Tyrone Blackburn for filing "knowingly false allegations" of criminal wrongdoing "without the slightest factual or legal basis." They said they would seek so-called sanctions against him in a future filing.

"A license to practice law is a privilege," wrote Donald Zakarin, a longtime music industry litigator who represents UMG and Grainge. "Mr. Blackburn, plaintiff's lawyer, has misused that license to self-promote, gratuitously, falsely and recklessly accusing the UMG defendants of criminal behavior."

The Wednesday filing came in response to a lawsuit filed last month by a producer named Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones, who says the rapper sexually assaulted and harassed him. The lawsuit is one of several abuse cases filed against Combs, in addition to an apparent federal criminal investigation that led to raids of his homes this week. Combs has strongly denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

But the case filed by Jones went far beyond a simple assault claim, arguing that Diddy, Grainge and many others had also violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act – the federal RICO statute that's more often used in criminal cases against mobsters and drug cartels. He also accused the various defendants of violating federal sex trafficking laws.

In Wednesday's filing, UMG's lawyers said those claims were "entirely invented by Mr. Blackburn."

"The [complaint] hurls accusations of criminal racketeering and criminal sex trafficking against the UMG defendants, respected individuals and companies having utterly nothing to do with plaintiff's claims," Zakarin wrote Wednesday's filings. "These accusations are recklessly false and, but for the fact that they are embodied in a complaint, would be libelous."

In addition to the original allegations, UMG's lawyers also sharply criticized Blackburn for filing a second, updated complaint this week – a filing that they claim drastically altered the allegations. In his filing, Zakarin called it the worst lawyering he had seen in nearly 50 years as an attorney.

"In all that time, I have never seen any attorney display anything remotely like the utter indifference shown by Mr. Blackburn towards his obligations as an attorney," Zakarin wrote. "I have never seen any lawyer, in any pleading, in any court, accuse people and companies of criminal conduct without the slightest basis and then try to file an amended pleading completely jettisoning every allegation underpinning the original claims and substituting completely different and irreconcilable allegations to support the very same claims."

In a letter to the judge Thursday, he called the UMG motion a "public relations stunt" that had been filed in bad faith. "They did not have any issues marrying themselves to Mr. Combs when it was popular. Now, suddenly … they are treating Mr. Combs like he has the plague," Blackburn wrote in the letter.

In a statement to Billboard on Thursday, Blackburn said: "UMG should produce their financial records. Let's see what the money was used for. Stop trying to escape liability."

A spokesman for UMG did not immediately return a request for comment on the motion.

Daphne Joy, former girlfriend of rapper 50 Cent, is firing back at a recent allegation made about her professional relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Joy, along with City Girls rapper Yung Miami, was named in an amended civil lawsuit by producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones Jr., who is suing Combs for sexual assault and harassment. Jones claimed in the filing that Joy and Yung Miami were among the women "who were paid a monthly fee to work as Mr. Combs' sex workers."

Joy responded to the allegation in an Instagram post Thursday, threatening possible legal action against Jones.

“I am deeply hurt by the lies in Rodney Jones’ lawsuit,” Joy wrote. “The claim that I am a sex worker is 100% false and character assassination. I am retaining an attorney to explore all legal remedies against both Rodney and his attorney.”

The actress also aimed for her ex 50 Cent in a separate post. The rapper seemingly made light of Jones’ allegation about Joy in an Instagram post Wednesday, writing, “I didn’t know you was a sex worker, 👀you little sex worker. LOL 😆Yo this (stuff) is a movie.”

In the post, Joy addressed 50 Cent by his birth name, Curtis James Jackson, and criticized the “Candy Shop” emcee for “wreaking real havoc, frenzy, and chaos onto people’s lives.” She also blasted her ex-boyfriend for his alleged sexual abuse of her, as well as his lack of involvement in their son’s life (the former couple shares 12-year-old son Sire).

“Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me,” Joy wrote. “You are no longer my oppressor and my God will handle you from this point on. You have permanently damaged the last hope I had for you as a father to preserve our family with these last and final false claims made against me. You have broken our hearts for the last and final time.”

Days after Homeland Security agents raided multiple homes connected to media mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, a woman who says he shot her in the face at a New York City nightclub in 1999 is calling for the case to be “reopened.”

Natania Reuben told NewsNation on a Thursday episode of “Elizabeth Vargas Reports” that Diddy shot her, even though a jury acquitted him in 2001.

“I literally watched them pull out the guns. I had a clear point of view. I mean, for God’s sake, I got shot in my nose. I was facing them directly. I watched everything occur and have described it, vehemently to all parties involved,” Reuben said. “I have nine bullet fragments remaining in my face.”

Reuben’s interview comes after producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed a lawsuit in February accusing Diddy of sexually assaulting and harassing him and of operating a racketeering enterprise, among other things. Jones also claimed that Diddy said he was “responsible” for the shooting on Dec. 27, 1999, at Club New York, where three bystanders, including Reuben, were injured.

Lil Rod’s claim stands in stark contrast to Diddy’s public denial and acquittal in 2001.

The shooting led to multiple arrests, including Diddy’s bodyguard, Anthony “Wolf” Jones, then-21-year-old rapper Jamal “Shyne” Barrow and singer-actor Jennifer Lopez, Diddy’s girlfriend at the time, according to a New York Times article.

Music executive Suge Knight has warned his long-time hip-hop rival P Diddy that his “life’s in danger” after federal agents raided the singer’s Florida and California homes.

The clip, obtained by TMZ, was allegedly an outtake from the Death Row Records founder’s podcast “Collect Call,” which he hosts from a California state prison where he’s currently serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter.

Knight kicked off the clip praying for Diddy’s “kids” before he blasted the singer, 54, for giving the “culture” of hip-hop a bad image.

“I’ll tell you what, Puffy: your life is in danger cause you know the secrets, who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in,” Knight, 58, allegedly said in the audio clip.

He then ominously warned Diddy that “they gonna get you if they can.”

Knight went on to encourage Diddy to turn himself over to authorities just as he did following a hit-and-run in 2015 that resulted in the death of Terry Carter.

“I turned myself in,” Knight said.

“Sometimes you got to face the music. That’s most of the time.”

Misa Hylton, the mother of Justin Combs and an ex-girlfriend of Sean "Diddy" Combs, posted a video and a statement on Instagram Tuesday criticizing the "militarized force used" during last week's law enforcement raid of the music mogul's Los Angeles mansion.

"The over zealous and overtly militarized force used against my sons Justin and Christian is deplorable," Hylton wrote. "If these were the sons of a non-Black celebrity, they would not have been handled with the same aggression. The attempt to humiliate and terrorize these innocent young BLACK MEN is despicable!"

Sean Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Homeland Security Investigations agents and other law enforcement officers as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation, U.S. officials confirmed on March 25.

Hylton's video showed three armored vehicles arriving at the hip-hop mogul's residence and at least a dozen heavily armed officers entering the home. One officer appears to turn a security camera toward the ground.

In Hylton's video, which appeared to have been edited to combine various angles of security camera footage, the officers are seen handcuffing Justin and his brother Christian "King" Combs, 26, while what looks like a drone flies around the residence.

"Enough is Enough!" Hylton wrote. "Did Justin need several laser beams from firearms pointed at his chest?? Did Christian need a gun pointed at the back of his head while he was handcuffed?? How many times have we seen young UNARMED BLACK MEN not make it out of these types of situations alive??"

Hylton said her son's attorney is investigating to determine if the force used by law enforcement was excessive. "We will fight for justice utilizing every imaginable resource. I'm not with the propaganda!!!!" she wrote.

In a statement released a day after the raids, a lawyer representing Sean Combs called the raids a "gross overuse of military-level force," adding that there was no excuse for the "hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated."

"Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way," the lawyer, Aaron Dyer, wrote in the statement. "This unprecedented ambush —paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence— leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name."
