PAUL & MAGGIE MURDAUGH: South Carolina vs. Alex Murdaugh for Double Homicide of wife & son *GUILTY*

This case is being kept pretty quiet, no major details released to speak of (other than it does say there were two different guns used), but no info regarding who found them, who called 911, very little else.

Of interest, the grandfather died just a few days after these murders and it sounds as if he was ill from various articles so probably not unexpected. I think of the typical motives, did grandpa have a big estate? How big in the overall family of grandpa's on down? They sound like a pretty well known family and a powerful one in their state, more on that in the article.

Going on at the moment. Lafitte was first then Murdaugh and Fleming will be last. I think it is to determine dates for court appearances and sentencing but I thought that Lafitte and Fleming had been sentenced but Lafitte was in Normal clothes. Murdaugh was in his orange and the court is now awaiting Fleming...posted twice in error sorry but wasnt sure what it was about at first.

So I have this playing, this is all about Fleming right?

I am half listening while I made my deadline I had to make with task one today which was a publication date and time. Now I just need to review the changes I hope I get back in a timely manner and then take care of probably ten other things minimum. Insurance agent. Hand doctor. Chiro. Dentist. Court. Attorney. More. All already put off to long meaning to get done EVERY time I am off and one thing or another halts it. Started today with a perfect example, fire alarm. Laundry. Bills. MUCH MORE.

Yes and I think that is Becky in the courtroom right?

Fleming is getting roasted at the moment about the cheques he wrote out payable to "Forge".

Well worth listening to.
Everything I have half listened to was the prosecutor and was about Fleming. Yeah, great points and we all know he KNEW what he was doing. it is a no brainer to think hek was clueless, bullsheet I say. No one could believe that.

Not really sure what the overall thing is about. Since I've watched it all seemed to be about Fleming. Ms. Becky is working? Lol.

If EVERY lawyer was like Bland, man this world might be a far better place. He is pointing out EVERYTHING that no way can you believe any whitewash of any of this.

And I will reiterate there is a female judge to my knowledge still on the bench there that NEEDS to go and be reprimanded and perhaps prosecuted.

If it is Fleming and I think it is, I think Bland did get to him somewhat, he doesn't look proud. And if I understand it, he has pled guilty to all?

The Satterfield son sat losing his mother's trailer and home when they were sitting on all of this money and spending it. This is all soooo disgusting.

They took the money and went to the world series when the family was suffering. I don't know who this man is but he also is making great points.

I missed the Lafitte and Murdaugh parts but it didn't seem like they were discussing much but I agree about Fleming and the prosecution stuck it to him. These must be the state charges because he did a deal with the federal charges as we discussed previously, I believe. Had to stop listening for a bit so will catch up later if I can.

Who is this guy? He is good too. Very good pointing out how just a msall amount of money would help these families whereas they blew millions and didn't give them a drop to even survive,e tc.

If there is ANY mitigation, I'd say just that he is pleading guilty to all charges would be his only small saving grace. I expect sentence to be a seroius one watching all this. We will see what he says.

I am starting to gather this is a sentencing hearing? Is it? With impact statements and arguments? I started watching after it was going on for a bit.

wow. Great points by Waters. Gives him credit for pleading guilty but only "this"much as he would only admit to the best version, paraphrasing I am, of the least version of events that he knew he was caught in, etc. Asking for consecutive sentencing and saying he only has admitted to what he had to as caught red handed.

Isn't it interesting this is going on right on top of the Murdaugh defense talking of the clerk, the judge and more and here's Judge Newman and prorsecutor Waters in busuiness as usual. Again I think the defense with the clerk and juror thing was timed by the defense, not that it made one bit of difference here in this case that alignts with Murdaugh, didn't thorw them off at all, it is business as usual.

Defense is up. I'm sure I won't like it much. Lol. I need to go do my stuff anyhow so won't pay as much attention to them, just listen in the background.
